    The moment when you knew you were gonna die but can't do anything is the scariest moment.

      I've often thought that falling from a great hieght must be the most frightening way to die due to the inevitability of death at that moment. You know you're going to be killed, it will be painful if not mercifully brief when impact occurs and all your hopes and dreams are pointless in the face of it.

      An autopsy showed that he had a heart attack on the way down...probably at the moment he realized that his parachute wasn't going to save him.

      @@kathleencummings8081 they reported he died on the way down, but a heart attack doesn't kill someone in 3 seconds. I think they were just telling people what they wanted to hear.

    I know nothing about parachutes, but watching that "costume" that looks as heavy as fuck...I wouldnt dear to even risk a dummy. poor delusional guy. I can feel he knew he had no chance in the last moment....he hesitate too much.

    I have tremendous respect for this man. He was the definition of balls. He had the courage and an intense belief in himself to do something very dangerous all in the name of innovation and creation. He should be applauded.

      Actually, you kind of do. It may seem obvious l, but only medical professionals can legally pronounce someone to be legally dead.

    I still think he should of jumped off in a forward motion kinda like a super man dive… he literally just stepped off feet first like a pencil never giving the suit time to collect air.

    On another video it said in the original film that the police gave him permission to do dummy drops but never would have gave him permission to jump himself. They probably did give him permission but I'm gonna believe they lied and said they didn't because they didn't want the heat.

    • @muffetmissulena6540
      @muffetmissulena6540 Рік тому

      I’m calling that the police told him not do it still. The police in their right mind would never have allowed this without any proper safety precautions (which there were none) due to how much of a liability this was.

    I've read Franz's story and he was definitely a man of ambition, and in some ways strong headed in his refusal to accept that his invention would likely not work. It's disturbing and inspiring to see Franz hesitate as thoughts race trough his head and then summon up enough courage take the leap. Success might have brought local fame and maybe even monetary income, failure was almost certain death! It's in these moments that human nature is either viewed as intensely brave or incredibly foolish or perhaps both. Either way, at least Franz lived his story and his story lives.

    Je ne connaîtrai pas la peur car la peur tue l'esprit. La peur est la petite mort qui conduit à l'oblitération totale. J'affronterai ma peur. Je lui permettrai de passer sur moi, au travers de moi. Et lorsqu'elle sera passée, je tournerai mon œil intérieur sur son chemin. Et là où elle sera passée, il n'y aura plus rien. Rien que moi.
