A pair of contrasts: Where David truly loves the game for the chance to immerse himself in an arena to solve problems and compete, his first opponent today robbed themselves of the opportunity for same when far behind. One never gets the impression that playing though to certain defeat is irksome for David.
Yes, one of the reasons why I like David's content is that he is such a good loser when things don't go his way.
I liked that David did get in a little dig at his first opponent by saying he was glad he didn't throw his toys out of the pram after eloquent, or he wouldn't have had the chance to play amphioxi
Can't believe such a high ranked opponent gave up so quickly. You had a strong lead, but the game was nowhere near lost.

I was so disappointed when the first player quit after such brilliant scores in the first three placements. The following game was also excellent but I thought you had some very difficult racks compared to your opponent but still you were close in the end. Fabulous channel David and a joy to watch! Another fabulous vid. Did you just forget to type tygg on the first opponent due to the unexpectedness of the resignation or was it a conscious choice? I think it was warranted if it was deliberate because 4 moves could hardly be considered a good game.
I do not thank people who resign at very early stage in game

13:25 a P would have been useful on the earlier rack too for DISPEACE
23:00 and IMPLEXION in row L with the blank as an L! opponent blocked it though, and it wouldn't have scored higher anyway.
