You called it ,thrown in a corner until a recovery ticket is produced the they hauled out the gigantic reclaimer !!! Thanks again for the videos! 🥃🥃🍺🍺🍺🍿🎯🏌🏻♀️ Stay safe. Retired (werk'n)keyboard super tech. Wear your safety glasses!
Thanks for posting! What happens to the recovery tank when it's full? Do you bring it somewhere for recycling? (Recycling the refrigerant? Recycling the tank?)
Great question. I will be doing a heat pump segment this winter. The manufacture usually has some published data they want you to use. The second is to pull the charge and weigh it in. You take into account how many feet of line set you have and ___ pounds per additions foot of lineset over ___ feet. It will also be int he manufacture data.
Hey Ty. I installed a senville mini split in the garage and running heat. Had a guy come vacuum the lines. It runs for about 30 minutes and then the outside coil is frozen solid with about 1/4 inch of ice covering the whole coil and then it starts popping loud. I've tried to get the tech to come back for the last 3 days and he is blowing me off saying he would arrive at 2pm and then having an excuse. Is this something I could fix?
Wow there are several things it could be. I would start with the charge. A new install a leak is highly probable. But it could be defrost board, defrost sensors, metering device, od fan, solenoids. I'm a long ways from recording ductless. Check out my friend Craig with AC service tech LLC. He has some great ductless videos.
This material is absolute gold to me…Thank you very much indeed. 👍

nice video
I would have liked you to touch on the stop point. How did you know it was empty?
What's the best way to charge a heat pump in cooler outside temperatures? Do you check superheat and subcool while in heat mode? Thanks
Great question.

@@love2hvac thank you
If you do this into a fresh recovery tank, it still can’t be used because it’s only vapor and no liquid correct?
