This company needs to have a technical support department where they are willing to try and fix our issues instead of hanging up on the customers. When the program is downloaded we don't get all of the plug-ins or all of the effects to have a proper editing system. Once we can edit (for what it's worth) it locks up and shuts down.
I do not understand what you mean, you don't get all the effects or plugins. Like what?

I use 25 ultimate today on a brand new system with 8 gig on rtx 3070 and 32 ram available on the whole system. And after editing for a while. Locks up, close and loose all edited information
Yes, like FireWalk says: "They keep adding more advanced features in every version, which sadly also introduces more bugs and crashes."
And to add on it, they don't even fix the old bugs! In a frame to frame cut you always have to check your work afterwards cause Pinnacle is giving miss information on you.
The storybord shows you another frame than the timeline.
While using an AMD 5700 processor and a RTX-3090 graphics card, masking simply doesn't work. Only once did it give me that green bar that basicly went way out of line.
After trying 10+ times I gave up. It can't even create 1 frame that gives the same result as the one you create in the example.
Besides that, Pinnacle doesn't mention mirror/flipping anywhere in their help information. For those who don't know where to find it: Editor > Effect > 2D-3D > Change Default into No Preset > scroll down > Flip horizontal.
Don't try to use the 3D Editor CPU on it. Another bug: It doesn't work!
For me, it's also time to find my luck on a better editing program. Maybe harder to learn but in the end if something is easy to use, but doesn't work.......
If you're a beginner in editing you might give it a try. If you wanna edit more video's and stuff in the future I would not recommend Pinnacle.
I’ve used pinnacle since something like version 7, and every version has had some weird quirks and glitches the forums are full of them, however pinnacle is easy to grow into
I upgraded from v24 to v25. Significant improvement in rendering performance and speed. The same computer! Very good quality of the program for ... symbolic money in total (compared to the competition). A really great program. I recommend

there are much better, more logical and simpler to use .. Pinacle is complicated .. too slow .. it asks too much from the computer
They keep adding more advanced features in every version, which sadly also introduces more bugs and crashes. They should be focusing more on fixing existing bugs and problems. It's a great piece of software but it constantly crashes. When you contact customer support they tell you that you need to upgrade to the newest version where some of the bugs are fixed.
The problem with that is that the new features they've added bring their own bugs, and then you have to buy the next version again, and the next, and the next, and the bugs never goes away. There's never a really solid and stable version. I love the software and its ease of use, but this failure to address bugs and crashes made me switch to a different software in the end, unfortunately..
They should focus more on stability, putting out patches and fixes. This software is not cheap, and I would expect more stability for this price, at the very least some patches and fixes along the way..
Stability and performance should be at the top of the list, but that is not what sells. More "stuff" sells. Keeping up with what the competition offers is what sells.
I agreed. My Pinnacle Studio 22 bought from Amazon has a lot of bugs. It crash more often than I expected (i.e. it closes the software by itself during editing or freezing the mouse). Very disappointed.
@@tuan056585 I personally found PS22 fairly stable by the last patch. There is more to using an editor than just installing it. Buying direct from Pinnacle, you get 30 days to hammer the software on your computer and see if it's right for you and your computer build. There is also a great user forum to seek help.
@@tuan056585 have you updated it? When you say it crashes, what are you doing? What are your computer specs? Do you really want help? If so, go the Pinnacle user forum. Plenty of knowledgeable people there
For a video editing software 80 to 100$ is pretty cheap dude .......however everything else you said I completely agree with

I see I'm not the only one experiencing problems with Pinnacle. After 14, it became too complicated. I tried 25 and it crashes easily and the blur options never seem to work. I have to move on to another editor I am sad to say.
I'm still using Pinnacle Studio 16. Because your software is really expensive. I will hand it to you for being cheaper than Vegas or Premiere. But until the day where I can't get it running anymore. I'll upgrade.

@@newstarproducoesfotoevideo2947 there is no such software as "sony" Vegas. Sony hasn't owned the software for 5 years now. I have Vegas Pro 18. It does some things way better than Pinnacle, but Pinnacle's title editor, Split Screen editor, Multicam (up to 6 cameras with Ultimate which I have), are much easier to use than Vegas Pro.
But, Vegas Pro is a more upscale editor, which means, you have to know how to do what you want without templates, one button clicks, etc..
Use the right tool for the right job.

I've updated through many versions of Pinnacle Studio and gotten generally good results, BUT for Pinnacle Studio 24 the performance became sluggish. I've got a very high performance computer and SSD memory and graphics card, so the blame isn't on my hardware. I've reinstalled, tuned, removed every possible cpu-hogging process, nut nada.
Is anyone else in my situation? I don't want to waste more money on 25 if 24 is the sign of the future.
Yes, I found 24 almost impossible to use and so have stuck with 21 and only use 24 for Titles and masking. I will hesitate on 25…

Reinstalled Studio 24, and am appaled at how sluggish it operates, playback is almost unusable. Feel the same
way about upgrading.
The upgrade price for long time users is ridiculous, been upgrading since 14.
24 was being very aggressively discounted soon after its release and especially leading up to release of 25 this week.
I got a license for Pinnacle Studio 24 Ultimate from Humble Bundle. it is really slow and buggy, take lots of time to launch even on SSD, glitching on start with blank white screen .. etc. I cannot use it in this way. Trying Davinci Resolve Free or will be using Apple Final Cut Pro if that else was not good. Adobe products is expensive as hell for an ameature like me.

I've been using Pinnacle 8 since it first came out. I am currently using 25. I've used all kinds of different editing programs, but what really confuses me is that you don't have separate Right and Left audio tracks in the video time-line. It would be super easy if you had this feature in your program. Other that that... no real issues.
I just installed it. At first, it started correctly, than i tried to close it and make it restart....nothing happend. I re-installed it, and restarted my PC but it does not start anymore

I had a similar problem with Pinnacle so I created a new pc user account and was able to open and run pinnacle in the new user account. Hope that helps.

@@TrVlogs82 only 2 videos so far for me but 23 worked fine with some glitches, 24 crashed all the time rendering and now 25 has been good (again only 2 videos) but also 25 rendered extremely fast I was really surprised.
Crashing can be caused by a lot of different issues. The software itself, or the computer it is installed on. There are an infinite number of hardware and software combinations out there. Expecting the software to work 100% all the time is impossible.
Go to any user forum for video editing software (including the pro software) and you will read about people with issues with the software.
Unless you have a well maintained and properly cooled computer, with current specs (and not the minimum listed by Pinnacle), set the software up properly, it should go a wasy sot avoiding crashes.
@@Reyfox1 in my case it was on a fresh install of windows 10 with a full custom water looped and ryzen 7 3800x and nvidia 2060s. It would just keep freezing on rendering and also just close all on it own it edits. Was pretty annoying since 23 didn’t have those issues and video studio 2021 also had no issues. Maybe they got it working later since I think there was a patch right before 25 came out that I hadn’t tried since I’d stopped using it by then. So far 25 has been great but I’m a light user so have to take that into consideration. However even for my light usage 24 was buggy.

Same here. They told me I had to buy the newest version because some of the bugs were fixed there. But then they've added tons of new features too, which no doubt have their own bugs and problems associated with them. It never ends. They should focus more on support down the line, like patches and fixes..
The software would be simply awesome if it wasn't for all the constant crashes.
Der normale Videofilmer kommt mit den Grundfunktionen aus. Ich musste mir leider ein neues Pinnacle Programm kaufen, weil Pinnacle 18 auf Windows 10 nicht mehr abspielbar war. Dieser immer wieder neue Schnickschnack ist teuer und wird im Regelfall nicht benötigt.
Posting this 12 hours later and Pinnacle is even worse than ever before.
When you try to create noise reduction on sound > Corrections > 6 Noise Reduction the outcome is insanely good. It really reduces noice like it's supposed to do.
But....after than, if you make any cut into it, problems returns. Another waisted hour or more on Pinnacle.
I'm gonna claim my money back or ask them to give me version 21 back to me.
THE UPDATE IS HORRIBLE!

I used to use Pinnacle 21 on an old computer with an Asus motherboard and an Intel processor. Pinnacle 18 was the best version to work with. Not totally free of bugs, but the best version so far. Although I also had Pinnacle 21 on the old computer, I hardly used it because of these bugs.
By now I build myself a new computer with an AMD3950 processor and an RTX-3090 graphics card. I would say: Top of the consumer market.
And so I bought Pinnacle 25.
IT IS SO HORRIBLE.
All the old bugs that are in 18 and 21 are still in there. Nothing has improved on it. NOTHING.
Also the new features offered by version 25 simply don't work.
- Mask: It doesn't work and even the first frame created by hand jumps off
- Noise reduction: It damages the whole track with a hard and loud white noise
- Disolve CPU and CROSS desolve offer the same outcome. There is no difference
- There is no difference on using with or without the "alt" button when I want to fade over smoothly from one clip to the other
- Track by hand and the cursor just stops at the end of my screen
- If I push the program a little to hard, it just stops working so I have to start it up again
- Pushing all sound to the left works fine, pushing it all to the right and it keeps centered
etc. etc. etc.
It's way to much of the same old bugs that are still in version 25. Take notice that I worked with a 12 year old computer on Pinnacle 18.
Still that version on that old computer worked best (NO NOT PERFECT) so far.
Pinnacle Studio 26 Ultimate here. How to crop to a spesific aspect ratio? I want to crop to portrait mode to post to instagram. I have 27 clips in my video and I have to individually crop every clip and without the ability to see if the aspect ratio is correct (or any info about the size of the resized video). All of my clips are now slightly in different sizes and that's the best I can do. And don't know if it will fit Instagram either. Any advices?
Pinnacle ist mir zu kompliziert. Leider war ich für die Rückgabe damals ein paar Stunden zu spät. Kulanz gab es nicht. Ich habe Pinnacle 23 ultimate studios und weiß bis heute nicht, wie ich Tonspuren (Gesprochene Kommentare oder Musik) da einfügen kann, wo ich sie haben will. Es macht keinen Spaß, ich nutze es nur noch selten und kriege jedes Mal die Krise !

I just installed Version 25 Ultimate. Are there no New Blue FX filters in the FX menu any longer? I've seen tutorials with several versions, New Blue I, II, III, IV, V, VI, Stabilizer, etc. I have none of these. I have only 104 FX filters including the audio filters. Corel Video Studio Ultimate has 135.

They should focus on "new" products, not just slight changes to the same stuff that has not changed, well since I can remember. (probably since version 12 ? or less ?)
They have the same effects, using the same glitchy and slow libraries for like 10+ years now. (who else has issue with random green frames? or the stupid loading arrow glitch frame?)
Main focus should be on video encoding acceleration via HW, faster editing, rendering. Man, even the text feature feels sluggish as on windows95 and 486 CPU.
Multicore support, hello ??? using PC with 16 core CPU feels just as slow as using any 4 core PC.
Don't get me wrong, I like the software or rather I have Stockholm syndrome, since I use it since version 12 or less probably, but it feels just like a scam since the changes are so minimalistic over the years.
I wonder if there are more than 1-2 coders working on it.
I can fully agree with you, the changes with each new software are really minimalistic. In the long run it is too expensive for me and I will probably switch to another provider sooner or later. It's a pity actually, because I liked working with Pinnacle.
I'm having problems syncing between video and audio. Any format I configure for export comes out with some kind of problem, the most common is lack of sync. I bought the 23 and so far I haven't been able to produce a job. 😭
Get a program called HandBrake. Use it to convert your footage to a framerate pinnacle recognizes. It's either 29.97 fps or 59.97 fps. Sometimes footage differs in frame rates. some videos will be 30 fps and becomes de-synced in an editor later as the video plays. This is because the both the file and program run at a different fps. It took a lot of research to figure out that Pinnacle doesn't render at 30 or 60 fps. Try Handbrake out, find a tutorial. hope that helps.
@@DrDensetsu thank you very much for your generous attention. Interesting that Pinnacle Studio 23 software accepts any type of project. Here in Brazil we use 60fps in our editions. On the other hand, the camcorders we use are all imported and have several options for recording adjustments. In my case, I use the Panasonic ag-ac7 camcorder and record in Full HD.

Brought 25 Ultimate was recommended to buy fx total for it on same site same page, which I did installed both, fx will not show up anywhere in 25 no matter what I have tried. Why recommend something that cost over £200 if one cant use it for that program.

Hi I am using an sd card for my movie , but when I put my clips on the timeline burner it to a disc I got the same clips on the timeline a repeat in the middle of the movie Its like I edited the same song and movie clip twice which I didn't im confused how this happened could it be a program error??? Can somebody halp me? I have pinnacle studio 11 and it had worked 11 years well. Now on my new PC it is komming a note: Activate MPEG 4 Encoding/ Decoding for free. When i try it is comming at I have to by Pinnacle Studio25. How I can gett MPEG encoding decoding in some other way?

Μάλλον οι νέες εκδόσεις αποσκοπούν μόνο στο οικονομικό κέρδος και όχι σε επίλυση προβλημάτων. Έντιμο θα είναι όταν στην κάθε έκδοση που δημιουργούνται σφάλματα να τα διορθώνετε με αναβάθμιση (Update) και όχι να διορθώνονται στην επόμενη έκδοση που πρέπει να αγοράσουμε (Upgrade)! Οι νέες εκδόσεις θα πρέπει να περιλαμβάνουν νέες δυνατότητες. Είναι λυπηρό που τόσα χρόνια περιλαμβάνετε τα ίδια "παιδικά" transitions που δέν τά χρησιμοποιεί κανένας σε σοβαρά βίντεο που κάνουμε. Χρησιμοποιώ μόνο το Pinnacle Studio από το 11 μέχρι το 23 που έχω τώρα. Κάθε φορά πληρώνουμε την νέα έκδοση αλλά το αποτέλεσμα είναι πάντοτε το ίδιο σχεδόν. Επίσης, τα τόσα αρνητικά σχόλια δέν τά παίρνουν στα σοβαρά οι κατασκευαστές του λογισμικού και δέν τους ενδιαφέρει να λύσουν τά σφάλματα. Αν και όλα τα χρόνια μου στο editing χρησιμοποιώ μόνο το Pinnacle Studio δέν μπορώ να το συστήσω σε άλλους. Λυπάμαι...!

I really want to upgrade but Pinnacle crashes too much. I've learned my lesson after upgrading 3 or 4 times throughout the years since Pinnacle 14. As much as im tempted to, i know im always going to be disappointed because how terrible it is with the crashes and freezes. I love pinnacle and the marketing they do with their upgrades but i just cant ever use it properly because of the bugs and it leaves me with regret
First, your computer has to be modern and fairly strong for video editing. And this is with any editing software.
Next, you can buy the software and use it for 30 days. If not happy, get your money back. You'll now in a couple of weeks if it is for you or not.

There was a slightly better audio cleaner with finetuning in pinnacle 24 however 24 started off decent then went to shit as something happened maybe an update that made the entire program buggy so i don't recommend it.
Can it export/render to 4k 60 fps?

Mr.Pinnacle nobody is given good comments in your recent version of upgrade. So you please update your bugs before releasing new version and provide good after sale customer service. Otherwise you loose the market my gentleman.

Dit is niets meer dan een reclame filmpje van Pinnacle. Overweeg andere software voor video editing omdat Pinnacle niet uitblinkt in stabiliteit en zelf met een flinke pc nog traag kan zijn. Kijk ook eens naar pakketten zoals Lightworks, DaVinci Resolve en Hitfilm Express.

I shoot a lot of three camera angles and even though they are saying brand cameras sometimes I have difficulty matching them up. One Pinnacle release they had a automation color feature that you could match
@@marqlamar yes they did have color match. But while it worked (for me) most of the time, the thumbnails weren't populating the the color match. Would it have been nice? Definitely. But color match isn't the only tool we edit with.
There is other software that have it, but they don't have other things that Pinnacle has.
Most of the editing people I know have more than one program to edit with. I have 3. I'll use the right tool for the job. None have "everything" enough to make me uninstall the others.

Been using Pinnacle Studio since forever. Got the latest version, 25 Ultimate. I got a computer optimized for video editing (not pro).
The program keeps freezing. Sometimes its when splitting a video, sometimes its during playback - the program just freezes but the audio keeps going.
I am not doing anything advanced, just a short movie clip and adding a music file to it. Its not faulty files, as this happens ALL the time. When editing in Pinnacle, the most time is spent re-starting, re-doing things.
I've done all the re-installing, clearing temp files, etc. Support sucks.
Does anyone have a solution that ACTUALLY work?

I made alot of videos with pinnacle studio 7-11. Then i stopped and when i returned to editig videos, i purchased pinnacle studio 22, just because i was used to it. I was shocked, that after like 8 years transitions still crash the program. It seems sometimes it doesnt like the position of it and it just closes. Then i need to restart the PC just so it can be re-opened again. I wasnt aware stuff like this still exists until i purchased pinnacle studio 22 lol....
Does anyone have the same problem? Was it maybe solved in newer versions?
Go to the Pinnacle user forum and post your problems. Be precise. Include full computer specs (not "Intel i7", but make and model number) what type of video you are working with along with what created it, and you will start to get replies.
You're definitely not the only one. Pinnacle has a reputation for buggy software.
Nothing new in 25 still hang issue is present from the studio 9 version and it still going on stability is a big issue with Pinnacle studio from very beginning they never solve this. Now in 25 version it's very difficult to make title and or change anything in title. Software always hang during creating title. So don't waste your money on Pinnacle studio as I wasted from studio 9 version to 25. And Pinnacle never support you about any issue related software they just care for software sale nothing else.

@@PinnacleStudioLife I am using Pinnacle studio from studio 9 version and still continuing with 25 version it's because I love this software it's user interface is excellent easy to use for editing fast although you are improving a lot but stability is stil a big issue in this software it's crash a lot even upon high configuration Computer.
Just purchased Pinnacle Studio 25 and ready to get a refund per the 30 day money back guarantee. Even paid extra for the MultiCam upgrade. The software cant even keep up with the audio of a single microphone synced up against a couple of basic webcams. Been fussing with it for hours to no avail. Not worth the investment especially in the absences of any support.

Adobe Premiere Pro is way better for performance, stability and bugfree, I never buy again Pinnacle Studio.... and in the past I did a lot with Pinnacle, but the true diamond is really Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects...

ich habe das Update installiert und bin entsetzt.
Fehler die bei mir auftreten sind nicht verbessert. Masken erstellen funktioniert überhaupt
nicht mehr. Mit Rechteck und Kreis erfolgt noch ein Tracking. Alle andere Werkzeuge haben keine Funktion mehr. Es wird keine Maske getrackt oder erstellt. Das gleiche gilt auch für „Masken Feld erstellen“.
Kann nur davon abraten das Update aufzuspielen.
Nur das Rendern von Dateien beim Export in H264, H265 und MTS mit Hardwareunterstützung
hat sich verbessert. Die Auslastung meiner GPU lag vorher bei 5% bis 11%.
Jetzt liegt sie bei 33% bis 39%.
Aber ich habe das Programm wegen der Masken Funktionen gekauft. War bisher nicht zufrieden mit dem Programm und bereute es jetzt schon nicht vom Kauf zurückgetreten zu sein.
Aber jetzt ist diese Software völlig unbrauchbar.

Pinnacle Studio 25 is a joke. I was under the impression I could have an entire 8k experience. This is far from true. Clips brought into the program automatically get turned into 4k, and there is no option to export in 8k. Went to get my money back and got the run around. wHaT a jOkE! buyers beware!
I've been trying all day to export a video from pinnacle 25 ultimate to youtube. All the tutorial videos are for the previous versions and do not apply to 25. Does anybody out there have any idea how to export to youtube from 25 ?
Simple. Export your video as a MP4 file. Go to your UA-cam account and upload. Easy. I've never upload from within Pinnacle. UA-cam changes it's API often which "breaks" Pinnacle's ability to upload directly to UA-cam.
Please, dear Corel management, exchange your Pinnacle software team, they don't do their job well! And, please, change your marketing philosophy. I have been staying with you since long and in the meantime I have finished many video projects for friends and family. I think, I know what I’m talking about. I started with version 11 and use now version Pinnacle 25 Ultimate, but I swear, it’s my last one. I'm fed up now and I'll change soon to another video software.
I spent hours and hours due to freezing, disappearing title and montage tools, sound which works on the clips itself but suddenly not any more in the timeline. If your software cannot find the preset folder for “Schnappschuesse”, it simply quits its job instead of popping up a warning or using the default setting. There is no professional failure handling at all. The program simply says good bey and disappears. In case of multiple track 4k projects it is awfully slow although my computer is equipped with Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz , Nvidia GeForce 1660 SUPER and 16GB RAM. Rendering happens anywhere, but not where I’m just working on. So, priority-setting is not its favorite.
Corel, your software became too complex for your software people. They lost control. The architecture is simply bad and not capable to do the job well if your program is professionally used.
So, my friendly advice to your marketing people is not to add year by year another “one million” new features which no one has been missing to the next program version, but to work on the stability and performance of the existing program. On the long run that counts more! And that is what actual users expect.

For 2 weeks I'm in contact with the Pinnacle help desk and they made me do everything.
Make an new user account on your computer so Pinnacle can't get corrupted with other programs......didn't work.
I've send a bunch of downloaded info to Pinnacle (Corel) about my computer they might look into......didn't get a report back about it.
Had to create Pinnacle old and stuff.......didn't work.
Needed to re-install Pinnacle again......didn't work.
But, here's the problem. Basicly Pinnacle just can't handle 4K and works best with 720P. Yep, that's even below 1080P.
On 720P you can kick the program as hard as you want an it works fine. 1080P already gives troubles when you want to rotate, zoom and change the position. Throw a tranceparency over 2 files in use and most likely the outcome is a bunch of arrow frames.
On 4K the real trouble starts. After it is all rendered and you start working the program keeps rendering and rendering and rendering on every move you make. It's horrible and takes a ton of time.
Trie to copy/paste the zoom and tranceparency settings to the next cut and the program shuts down.
When you export a file it uses 94% of the processor. When you're working it only uses 10 to 15% of the processor. And that's where the troubles start.
My conclusion is that my 12 year old computer + 1080P + Pinnacle 18 worked much MUCH better than my AMD Ryzen 9 + RTX-3090 + 4K + Pinnacle 25.
Pinnacle 25 basicly just isn't ready to handle 4K editing in a proper way.

I have bought the original Pinnacle Studio 24 Ultimate from new. I have long experience in editing. It is a good program but I am trying for a week now to burn my movie to DVD AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE...UNKNOWN ERROR IT WRITES!!! Why do you shell this "my DVD" shit? I had the older versions before Corel buys it and they were amazing! I bought it after Corel also and I expected it to be better...Why did you buy it to make it worse, with so many unuseful "features" and unuseful complexity? Must do the important editing features and do it right!
If you simply want to pan and zoom pictures, in your video it is an absolute pain. It keeps adding keyframes everywhere, and bugs are constant. Wont recommend Pinnacle anymore for anyone.
