One of my favorite watches for the summer! (Or anytime, really). I've been wearing it on a really sweet orange NATO strap and I think it works really well. Posted a pic on IG! instagram.com/p/BzviNVmH4F_/
I love this watch, I have one and the mod that I highly suggest is sanding off the original bezel until you see the original brass/copper colour then put it back on the watch and put it on brown leather bracelet, very nice contrast between the brass matte bezel vs the shiny polished stainless case. try it
Actually the original diver watch by Rolex had bi directional bezel. Then Omega had to make their dive bezels Unidirectional . Why? Because Rolex had the Patient for bi directional dive bezels. And in the end the all go uni..
I have the brushed version of this watch it's a Beauty, I love it! Again it's a strap monster! I also have a 6.75-7.0 inch wrist, it's the perfect size! Just subscribed too!
The Vostok cushion cases are the ones to go for, they pull the same trick as the Seiko turtles with one major difference, unlike the Turtle/willard the lugs dont curve downwards. I think youd struggle with a wrist skinnier than 6 3/4 inch But like the Turtle, it wears smaller than a 44mm would normally. The straight lugs work best on a quality rubber.
I have this with the 'Baikal' bezel which was developed by the Spanish Vostok Forum..the cushion case, the cintage blue, the awesome bezel (hunt one out). Bin the bracelet and bung it on an Uncle Seiko Tropic or a steel mesh.
Good review. Looking to get this (or the sailboat version) and I'm wondering how the polished case/bezel would look with a brushed steel bracelet. Think it would look out of place?? Fyi I'm not looking to brush the case.
Thanks Manuel. In my opinion, it wouldn't work too well with a brushed steel bracelet, but a brushed and polished would work fine! Just my opinion, though. Everybody has their own taste!
@@ChronometerCheck Thanks foe your response. You're right, everyone has their own taste. I just wish I could see how it would look before making a final decision. Do you have / know of a video with the same combination that I could look at for reference?
@@manuelmikewa Sorry, I've never seen that combination, but I follow a bunch of people on IG who own the Amphibia with the same case, will let you know if I ever see one on a brushed bracelet!
I scratched my watch really bad in the first hours I had him, I flip out, later wen I cool down and start to think I polish it with toothpaste and amazingly all the scratches desapeerd, I think this is a very special acril because it's not normal
Darn You , I finally narrowed it down to a 150367 or variant there of or a Komondirskie with a 20 atm rating and now have to look at a 710 too . Drat . And an orange Nato ! Gee Thanks Anthony . Lol 😁 I wear NATO's with hardware on the bottom tho , more comfortable & slim .
150367 seems like a cleaner dial version of this scuba dude. Beautiful color, either way! And I believe the 150 case is a bit smaller. All preference, of course. The biggest problem with Vostoks... They're too addictive. Just ordered a Komandirskie 650539... I couldn't help myself. And I partially blame you. 😁 Totally understand about tucking the nato underneath! Though when it comes to divers, I don't mind the excess bulk. Thanks for checking out the vid and all of the support, I.T. (Island Terror for short ;) )
Normally, when I buy a vostok I spend about $8 for a metal braclet and get something that is lightyears ahead of the bracelet that the watch comes with. With that said you are not paying for the band. Say what you will about this watch, but the fact is you are getting levels of watch design and R&D that would cost thousands if this was Swiss made.

I love all the bling! Especially on the blue dateless scuba dude 710656.

The braclets on Vostok watches are good if they're sized right for one's wrist.

Why do Vostoks eem more prone to magnetization over stuff like the Orient Mako, Seiko 5?

Hi guys, i bought this watch too, but why the blue is so dark? From photos it suppose to be some sort of blue green or any way light blue color
i think the newer ones are a different blue
Or one could set the date and put it on a winder

its much cheaper at meranom than amazon, and arrives faster...
Good to know, thanks. I've actually been planning to order the scuba dude with smaller 38mm round case, so will give Meranom a shot this time around.
...and even cheaper direct from the factory, though payment looks to be impossible at the moment due to Putin's antics.
what about customs and duties to USA as it comes from russia?
The GMT 200 meter that's awesomeness ! Be waiting for your review ! Sorry, didn't mean to get in your pocket. Ha Ha 😂
Haha all good, friend! Just needed someone to blame my financial irresponsibility on. ;)
Good thing they're affordable.

You need to pronounce VOSTOK correctly
Feel free to tell me how it's pronounced :)

@J R Don't forget Americans say "Claaak" rather than "Clock" ;-)
@J R Ah, ok.
@J R I guess you've thrown out all your US stuff too.
