I saw this Lion-O at Target recently and I should have picked him up. At first look, I thought it was the Ultimates Lion-O m, but at retail, with less paint deco and less accessories. Holy Cow, I was wrong after watching your review. This is why you're the best. Great comparison- this new torso articulation is insane! And yes, while the Ultimates are the most screen accurate we've received thus far, this new figure matches the animation even more closely. Particularly the sculpt of the hair and lighter skin tone. That is the Nostalgia you feel, and I'm right there with you. To answer your hilt question in this review- I believe you were referring to the sword's cross guard, specifically in reference to Lion-O looking through its cross guard beautifully. However, you are nonetheless correct by describing it as "hilt," as the hilt consists of the cross guard, as well as the grip and the pommel (knob at the bottom of the grip). 😊
I dig that head sculpt. Though I don't collect usually 7 inch figures. So I can't wait for ThunderCats X MOTU, so I can integrate 5.5 styled Cats into my MOTU collection. Though for the present, my 2011 ThunderCats reboot figures are filling that space. They scale good.
Great review..just to let you know his biceps seem to be reversed on you'res...it seems to fairly widespread on this figure but a easy fix just swap thrm around
