more more more more of the racing line, this is amazing and extremely easy to understand, plus host is awesome
this is becoming my favorite show to watch
too bad it only comes once a month then ..
The production on these videos is SUPERB.
yes! the power up sound when he stood had me lol
Randy is like the Bill Nye of racing. Somehow we need to get them to do something together.
exactly
+Vegaspsycho That would be so awesome. Randy would make a great guest for Myth Busters, too.
+Vegaspsycho He should wear a bow tie on his racing suit.
Bill Nye died.
no he didnt
"and I'm thinking to my self, I could end up in the hospital on this one... and I did" ANY story that ends with this line always gets my attention!
video after video in this series, this gentleman shines more...
This show rocks. Lots of good information without unnecessary filler material while still entertaining to watch.
This guy is single handedly 100000x better than all of the american top gear host
I still don't know if these videos are educational or comedy
Both. That's why it not boring. It actually very entertaining.
+Unicorn Reviews Why can't we have both?
+Unicorn Reviews educate yourself while having fun and some smiles or laughs, why not?
They're entertaining, but all the information is pure gold
it's both. the best way to learn is to laugh alittle too I think. and these guy know how to teach. great job Randy! please keep these coming! thanks
Hey Motor Trend can we get more Racing Line? And longer episodes too? Probably one of the best shows on the channel!
8 yrs later and I’m still coming back for this GOLDEN CONTENT
i love these videos, they're short and sweet. Just enough information for the basics without getting overly technical and boring for people to watch. Plus the comedy is a bonus ;)
Yay more Randy!! 🙌
even though I knew all this already its still just a joy watching Randall Lee Pobst do what he does best. A great example of "make your hobby your job"
Randy I've had respect for you from the beginning, but with this series, you really show your knowledge, teaching ability and humour. Never stop.
Awesome series. Randy is the best.
I absolutely love this series. As someone who wants to go to track days and just be a better driver on the street sometimes, Randy is an absolutely great host with great insight on the topics he's talking about. I really hope they don't run out of ideas for this series because I would miss it dearly.
this guy! He is one of the best hosts! He can deliver race car knowledge that anyone can understand AND makes me laugh out loud. Cant wait for more episodes!!
Randy the best driving instructor.. Like beginners can just pick up from all this when they got for their license.
I'm in love with this segment of MT thanks +MotorTrend
Best show on this channel, and Randy is probably my favorite host on MT, up there with the Roadkill guys.
"..thinking I could end up in the hospital on this one.... and I did" HAHAHAHA! The amount of thoughts that goes through the human mind in an instant as before/during a situation like an accident (or one which may be followed by regret) is just amazing.
I'm loving this series. Just enough goofy comedy to make the point. Bravo Randy! Keep them coming
slow motion abs was very intresting!
damnit Randy, you're so funny!
". . . and I'm thinking, 'I could end up in the hospital on this one.' And I did." End of story.
That by far was the best show you have done. Very informative and very funny. Great job guys, keep them coming.
Randy Pobst has the best personality for these videos. Well edited and put together too.
These are some of my favorite videos. Perfect mix of comedy and education
Best playlist about racing!
Really good instructional for people exploring the limits of their cars for the first time on track. Braking is one of the most important if not the most important thing to learn.
Thank you for these videos. My son is 10 years old and has started karting. I use your videos to help explain the proper racing techniques. He not only learns through listeni g and visuals but he also finds the videos funny and entertaining. Once again thank you
absolutely have been loving these! This is the best thing to happen to Motortrend since Roadkill started
Great show, great host, love every second of it. Keep it coming!!!
I really love these videos!! A massive help for us motor heads!
Keep posting more please :)
I'm truly enjoying the Racing Line. Randy explains well!
great video, the best I have seen on breaking so far
Great vid, lold a few times, very well presented and enjoyable vid Randy.
Randy you're a BEAST!!!! Thanks for the tips and I cannot wait to put them to use.
Need an episode devoted to weight transfer and balance using the brakes and throttle. He touched on it a bit in this one, would be cool for a more in depth episode.
+Marcus Antonius I'm hoping for a 'how to apply all this to the road' episode, with sensible things about not going totally balls to the wall (with youtube evidence of what happens when you do - like that M3 going down a ravine, etc...) but using these tricks to get the most out of making progress (As the UK police call it) on the public road, safely.
Beany2007FTW That's a good idea. You don't have to demonstrate any driving skills past the basics in order to get a license. But if more people had a sense of these things there would be less accidents.
+Beany2007FTW you make a good point. The E46 M3 driver in that video you're referencing showed none of the relevant skills though, and I suspect his knowledge of the road was very limited.
Lets face it, there's plenty more examples about - including people on track who should really know better.
Lets face it though, anyone who thinks they have nothing to learn left about driving is due a near miss with the ditch (at best) any time soon.
Every day is a schoolday.
+Beany2007FTW A video on how racing drivers watch the road, where their focus is through the corner, and how they anticipate things ahead would be fantastic as well
What a great show. Thanks.
Randy is so funny and humble, love this show just because of him.
this series is absolutely amazing, keep it up!
This series is fantastic!
Loved this little mini series haha. Learned a lot
Loved that close up slow motion shot of the ABS braking.
I've read a few of his articles after I found him on this channel. He is an amazing driver with a cool history. I love his videos!!!!
randy is so cool, he looks like an accountant but can really wheel a car, anyways I love the shows he is on. he brings so much easy to understand comments. keep this guy around for a while MT!!
racing education just got entertaining, thanks for the video
Randy, without a doubt. You are awesome!
Such a great series... Informative with just the right amount of cheeky comedy.
I would also love to watch a video every now and then of Randy just telling cool stories about his racing days... I'm sure he has tons of great tales to tell, just like he did at the end of this one and the Pikes Peak crash video.
Great show! Love to see how Pobst has evolved as a host. Simple and fun explainations also.
Randy is the best. Love this!
Love this show.. Randy is the man!
Funny and informative. Thanks, Randy.
Very helpful. Thank you!!
I could watch Randy flat-spot tires all day long
These are the best motortrend videos
I love the racing line so much. Mr Pobst is an amazing driver. I really hope I am going to meet him someday
Love this show...keep up the good work
I love this show! Keep it up Randy!
This guy rocks - awesome video.
Another great episode and I'm glad to see you guys are at Little Talladega Grand Prix raceway for this show's filming.
Randy is the man! and this show is awesome
I like the story at the end. Good episode Randy!
oh finally ... ive been a fan of this guy and when he appeared on roadkill i always thought Damn he would make a very good show on his own here... And there he is, and its awesome!
love these videos and the host too
Randy is a living legend, and getting better!
Love this show. i laugh and learn so much. Just perfect. Thank U SoMuuuch
Love this series!!
Great as always!
Great Vid! Congrats!
this was a super funny racing line! and he said the number one most importaint thing to remember when spinning out. HOLD THE CLUTCH IN. it makes it hard to steer when you brake so hard you kill the engine and now the drivetrain is locking up.
It can also damage the engine if the wheels are spinning it backwards.
The best of randy that I’ve seen yet. Don’t know how I missed it
This is actually a good series!
Give me a Brake Randy!
Awesome Tips and insight ever since you started in MT!
Awesome freaking video!
Absolutely beautiful Cadillac.
Randy is funny as hell. Great, great, great show. Keep it up!
great video as always
As always, more Randy Pobst!!!
5th episode and already my favorite of all MT's series
such a cool video ! thx
love that Randy has his own show!
This show is the best idea Motor Trend has ever had.
thanks Randy and motortrend people
One of the best shows on You Tube, without a doubt
may we please have some more of Randy's adventures in racing please , he's got a great way of telling the story
Your amazing man love your videos
This can actually improve my lap time. I'm so psyched to try these tips next time I'm on the track.
randy your the best. keep up the great work.
Nice little story at the end Randy!
Great video Randy, I was taught the ABS and no ABS in police academy. I ran over many of cones in a 95 caprice with the no ABS brake test.
i love these episodes! next one should be about steering.
He has way too much fun making these videos XD
Its awesome!
Cool cars and love to all of you guys
The Super Mario reference got me. This is a great series & host!
Randy is awesome!
love this show
Thanks Randy!
Nice video...as an AMA Expert License holder it is very interesting the braking geometry of road race bikes vs. Race cars. As we have separate control of both the front brake and rear brakes what you can do with the brakes while cornering is much more dynamic.
