Also, the cool thing is, off road mode drops dots, so you can follow them back, in case there isn't a map to follow (a back road on the display). I realize this video is old, but I have that nav system in my 2010 9-3 XWD. I bought it used from a salvage yard, and is in perfect shape!) It is still useful, since many of the roads are still there. And, I wired it up for bluetooth and voice control, and added a GPS antenna (magnet mount on top of the radio in the dash). I don't rely on it and use WAZE, but it's fun to occationally use. If only somebody would make an updated DVD for it! Europe has one, but no good in the U.S.!

Saab's car systems also contain directional and speed sensors, as well as a DVD player with digital map. These are used together with GPS to aid in navigation
