Really appreciate this lovely elegant & simple build. Getting ready to start mine in my FTC soon. After viewing dozens of videos, this is by far my favorite. Huge thanks! 😊🎉
Excellent build done to a professional standard. Looks like the Van I need in my garage. The Ford Connect is ideal for a MicroCamper build and with regular mechanical care will do up to 300k miles.
The roof vent is installed back to front. leave it open slightly and the wind from driving will rip it off. other than that it's a lovely little conversion.
Absolutely top shelf practicable build Harry..👏 Have similar fridge as yours and it works a treat. Expect my seat frame height is near enough to yours but I use a Quechua air mattress as opposed to the 10cm foam mattress you use. Your's might be a better option as it doesn't involve the setup needed with mine, ie: inflate every time.. I like that you don't have to exit the van as I see so many others having to do to set the bed up..👏 You've given me the idea I needed for storage/unit on passenger side top and bottom. Great van builders there today..🚐👏👏☘
Really nice build, I've just bought a Transit Connect to convert, having previously converted two larger vans, had a very similar layout to yourself in mind so Really useful to get a sense of space and how it can turn out.
Hi. Great use of space and not cluttered at all! Can you tell me if you thought it necessary to put in a window in the sliding panel door? Just wondering if the roof light gives enough light if the doors are all closed during the day time - say if it is raining outside. I was thinking of installing a window and would appreciate your thoughts. Cheers.
Thank you mate! I think a window on the sliding door is a great addition. The sky light offers a good amount of natural light, but with a window, obviously it would be enhanced. One of the negatives I see is taking away the ‘stealth’ element of these little campers!
@@mikescanlon8191 I guess it depends where you are going to be using the van most. If it's in buil tup areas you might want the stealth. If you out in nature go for the window!
Maybe a car-bro can help, but are American versions of the Ford Transit Connect bigger? I swear every American Vanlifer who converts theirs has more headroom and slightly wider space to work with, maybe its the style of the conversion not sure.
@@HarryEmblem Ohh I know but I think the USA version is bigger? (connect). Look at "Jugaad It Yourself " her channel. She has so much space above her head, and its in a connect, not transit 😅 Everything is bigger in US i guess!
@@SeaHollyRose thank you! I would definitely love a van with a pop up roof! I don’t think it would be well suited to this transit connect. It’s also a consideration of budget, as they can get expensive!
@@HarryEmblem thanks for your reply and opinion 👍🏻 hoping you've received my email asking if you do conversions, certainly be something I'm interested in with my van.
So if it's still classified as a van does the conversion affect your MOT? like you have to put the bulkhead back just for the MOT or something? I'm going to convert my van as well but don't know where to start. Yours looks really good . Thanks 👍

What a great job you've done with the van. Well done! 👍👍

Looks very professional , nice job on the solar!
Cheers bro 🙌
Very clean and clever minimalist built. I really like it a lot! Thank you for the inspiration.
You're welcome, thanks for the kind words!
Well done on your new van. Enjoy and good luck with it
Thanks James!

@@VanOnTour it’s not, it opens with the large gap towards to rear of the vehicle.
Thank you :)
excellent build , great job.
Thanks mate!
Co2 meter shoukd be close to the floor as thats where co2 sits by the time that goes off up there the hole van would probably be filled
Thanks mate, yeah I also have one fitted at low level 👍
Nice attention to finishing details Harry, looks very professional. Look forward to seeing your adventures wherever it takes you mate.
Thanks very much Alan, really appreciate it 👍 😀

Yeah this layout seems to work well :)
awesome definitely going to follow your setup

Fantastic build. I have fantasies of building out a transit connect. If I ever do, I have this video bookmarked for inspiration!

Great build, what’s the shelf bracket on the rear door? Where did you get them from? Cheers
Thank you! I think it was from Amazon mate
Love it ❤

Great vid! Can i ask how long is the internal space after you’ve removed the bulk head? Thanks in advance!
Thanks! I think it's about 1.9m, maybe a bit more when the seats are moved forward.

Hi, nice conversion! Do you find you're managing ok without a pop up roof being so tall? Wondering if my own needs a pop up.

How wide is that cabinet on the bottom?
Hi mate, not sure! It pretty much spans that gap between side door and rear door though
Great job mate!
Is it still classified as a van or you had to change it to a campervan? How much is the road tax for this vehicle? Thanks.
@@kwiatekhotmail thank you! Yep still classed as a van. So the standard tax rate for a van. Which I think is about £300

Really nice, where would I get the bed frame and cabinet to fix van
It's all made from scratch mate, check out the van build series :)
Hi mate, looks great, did you manage to fit a 240V hook up to the van?
Hi bud, there is no 240V hook up. But it does have an inverter.
What roof skylight did you use do you have a link were I could purchase one
Hi it's a Fiamma Roof Vent 40 x 40. All the best!
Where did you get your carpet from? Is it a silver / grey?
I’ll put a link in the description, it’s grey yes mate
Do you have a list of "everything"?
I do yes, most of the crucial stuff is in the description
What was your total cost ? I am really fed up f the rat race
Hi mate, around 10k
How tall are you?
Hi mate, 6ft1
Nice
Thank you 🙌
