Man, you do so much! And that mold thing must've been super stressful. Once the outside drainage is done, you can put that thing out of your mind for good. 👍🏻👍🏻

I’ve just been sitting here all day and Been watching this series. Gonna finish it all the way as it’s more entertaining then any movie and packed full of information.

This has been so entertaining. I love when I find a complete build series I can just binge watch. Especially since I'm renovating my first own (though 3m x 6m - 10ft x 20ft) workshop aswell.

If I had big metal I-beams, I’d paint them an industrial red. Maybe a different color or even multiple colors. Alternating blue and red or something fun.

if you haven't already, install gutter guards to help keep those gutters clear and draining properly.

Make sure you grade that dirt to slope away from the building. Right now all the surface water is going right towards the building because of that trench.

Yup, that’s the plan. Basically going to create a swale about 8 feet from the foundation.

Regarding issues with mould the best thing would be to bin all pieces altogether. Yes you can try to salvage it by using mold removals, sand it and all but that only removes black top part of mould. The rest is deeply inside of plywood etc and will eventually come back. The biggest reason for mould showing up is not too much moist but static air. Mould likes static air. Once room has solid air movement done by simple ventilation mould be gone.

Personal preference I know, but I think I prefer the natural wood look over the paint. Regardless, all the prep work sure shows in the final results.

I just came to the comments section to say that the white paint was such a good choice! I understand your sentiment, but the white wall allows ALL THAT LIGHT! which will be great for video and will make it so the plywood grain doesn't just hold in all the dust and such.

    • @milkod2001

I.m with you on this one but plywood just left as as looks very cheap and dirty. My preference would be to get walls plastered and painted professionally with some light colour or if going for natural look to use tongue and groove panelling. It.s more expensive and takes more time to get done but final results are just perfect. I have my shed with tongue and groove paneling from outside and it looks great.

yeah dude, there's "natural wood" and then there's PLYwood. Ain't nuthin natural about plywood. It is ugly as hell, but it's functional, so we use it. Don't confuse real wood with processed sheet goods.

I really hope you will roll on a cheap oil based primer sealer onto all of your bare wood surfaces, because even the most expensive paint primer sprayed on will etch through it over several months and you will be seeing, yellowing from the grains of the plywood, showing through heavily. Also use a light grey for your shop color, it will help with light dispersal, color accuracy and filming, better then just plain white. best of luck.

MH ready patch is a good product . The exception is the inside of the can will rust and ruin the product if you don't use it all.

I don't understand all this finish work on a shop with such moisture issues. Solve the drainage and moisture then worry about making it look nice. I worry he is going to be chasing mould and end up ripping a lot of this back out. I hope it all works out.
