However, thank God I have discovered your channel. You’re extremely informative and straight to the point. Thank you for your explanation and time making this video. You have an awesome gift for teaching. My brain is recording all your intel. Thank you kindly 🙏🏻

    The 4 dislikes are the people who replaced their entire cable infrastructure from 6 to 6A

    Thank you for this. I'm looking at wiring my small house. The longest run will be less than 100 ft. This video makes it clear that I should probably just use Cat 6, unless I can find a better deal on Cat 6A (unlikely).

    Thanks Jeremy, informative video. I'm only missing the information about CCA and full copper. Most cheap network cabling is CCA and is not in spec, it has 4 metal (with a copper outside layer) and 4 copper conductors. It gives lots of issues, go for the full copper version which is in spec.

    Jeremy! I was struggling with my two 2950s today trying to get them connected and stumbled across an article you wrote from 2007 about the "easy way to factory reset switches" lol anyway found out that I need to make a crossover cable cause my switches are old

    Hi. Are we asked to configure SWs and Routers when passing CCNA or dealing wwith configuration presented in questions that we need to correct? I subscribed to Alphaprep but no question was about configuring directly?

    Great video. Never put any thought or heard about cable life. If a cable is good for 15-20 years, is it good practice to replace cabling every 15 years? Does fiber have the same life? Why choose copper or fiber? Lmao, you triggered my mind. I have to google and get some answers. 😂

    Wait so there is no difference between Cat 6 and Cat 6A? What makes Cat 6A better compared to Cat 6?

    Can anybody tell me why cat cables come in different colors??? The outside sheathing color not the internal wires colors as I understand why they are different colors. Thanks

      I think it provides the same bandwidth as cat 6a, but has more durability. Not much of a difference though.
      You should check out cat 8 as it provides upto 40gigs.

    • @mdbruin8143
      @mdbruin8143 3 роки тому +1

      Cat 7 supports a higher frequency (750MHz), for normal users cat6a (600MHz) is enough if you need 10Gbs for longer distances (over 180ft).
