I’ve thought of the lore for this: Gem, the protector of the cherry village has been captured during the update by pillagers. They knew that they couldn’t cage her though, so they hid her. Far away from the cherry village leaving the cherry village, without a protector. Meanwhile, Gem finds another village to protect. Gem must challenge the pillagers to a raid of the new village before they raid her cherry village. If the pillagers win then her life will be lost, but if she prevails then the pillagers will give her the location of her cherry village and she’ll be able to go home. But at the end if everything goes well, she’ll have two homes.

it's so funny to say, but I love your hardcore series because they are so cozy and chill. it's not what you would expect from a hardcore series, but it's just perfection.
The new copper bulbs perhaps? The space within the village walls needs to be lit up, so using these would make a change from lanterns or messy torches. I wonder if they can be placed on top of a copper lightning rod like some giant copper lollipop.
Water sources only need a torch or "sky blocker block" if the water source has "Sky Access". So you don't need a torch per say but rather a top slab in the water block (waterlogged slab or stair) or simply a block above the water source is all that's needed. So when underground you can totally ignore all of this UNLESS it has direct sky access.
The pistons were not strictly necessary for the basement farm; a waterlogged trapdoor will not allow water through the side that the trapdoor itself is on, so it can be used as a cheaper water gate.
You can stop water from being frozen by putting a block above it at any distance. Your farmland doesn't need to be underground. Not to mention if you water log the water with a half slab or stair
I love the pace in this video. Just building a protective wall and comfy beds for villagers are the best things about minecraft if you ask me. I very much am rooting for your village to survive, because you poored so much into it. After all you even have a villagers portret on the wall 🥰 I'm probably way too invested, but I like your everlasting good vibes 🤗 much love from the Netherlands!
I think the hole in the middle of the village should be like an old coal mine with a cool elevator and everything It would look so cool in the village and explain why they had so many resources in the first visit
I just love that you are planning on connecting the villages. I think it would be so cool if you continued doing this in the world, so you'll eventually have a home in each different biome. Cuz NGL, it would be so neat to tour a world with connected towns with their own vibes.
It's kinda crazy how massive some of the caves are in some places. I recently found one in my world that looked to be just a decent sized ravine and turns out once you go beneath it not only does it pretty much go down to bedrock but it also extends about 400 to 500 or so blocks in each direction. Might think about turning that into an underground city seeing as it's so massive. Would hate to see an area like that go to waste
In your underground garden, extend a line of redstone under the trap doors from the lever, this way when you flip the switch to release the water, the doors should flip up and keep all the drops inside to flow down to the hoppers.
I feel like it was just yesterday it was your 1.16 game play with 600,000(maybe more maybe less) followers and now you’re almost at 2 million? You’re doing amazing Gem!
I really love the slower play on these types of videos. Makes both a nice change, but also shows that we aren't slow, if we can't make a gigantic starter house during the first couple of hours into a new world.
it would be so cool if one of the wall sections was like a giant snowdrift. would be kinda realistic and would be a way to put your own spin on the ice biome terrain
I am in love with these videos, although i only found @GeminiTay a couple days ago its nice to watch her video as i find them very chill and super relaxing to watch

There are so many good tips in the comment section today 😀 This is a great community to read
For any future animal/mob transport, you can now pull boats behind you with a lead
I've been watching your videos for years, and this is by far the earliest I've ever been! I'm so excited for more episodes of this series!
I love the way that when gem said that the cows were gone magically she was holding raw beef in her hand😅
The pistons were not strictly necessary for the basement farm; a waterlogged trapdoor will not allow water through the side that the trapdoor itself is on, so it can be used as a cheaper water gate.
yeah but the pistons look cooler
You can stop water from being frozen by putting a block above it at any distance. Your farmland doesn't need to be underground. Not to mention if you water log the water with a half slab or stair
Watching you play Minecraft while playing Minecraft rn :) keep up the good work gem! I love your videos
I love living in and revamping villages. It’s always so fun
Cuz NGL, it would be so neat to tour a world with connected towns with their own vibes.
i love how everything you do has a reason. a greenhouse for the crops would look nice maybe?
Everything about Gem's videos is great: the builds themselves, the pacing, her humor, etc etc. I'll be a loyal fan until the end.
Snow golems on the walls as turrets would look awesome. Loving the idea of this series and the content in general
Your garden cellar reminds me of the old root cellars in outport NL, I love it!
I feel like it was just yesterday it was your 1.16 game play with 600,000(maybe more maybe less) followers and now you’re almost at 2 million? You’re doing amazing Gem!
I couldn't watch this when it came out! But holiday event is over so now I get to watch Gemini Tay be cozy in a hardcore world!🎉
Absolutely loving the winter vibe, Gem's right barely anyone builds in snowy biomes
edit: 12:30 random secret entrances are a _must_ Gem dw
I really love the slower play on these types of videos. Makes both a nice change, but also shows that we aren't slow, if we can't make a gigantic starter house during the first couple of hours into a new world.
Yay I’m so happy another upload :3 🫶🫶
As much as I love this I've been spoiled by Hermitcraft and find myself wanting conversations and interactions with other people lol
I’m loving the cozy, slow-paced gameplay of this series, it’s definitely one of my favorites you’ve done so far!
to keep the water from freezing you can use slabs and put them in the water to make it a half block!! ❤
Yay, new episode. And it was fun all around.
Gem gives wintery names to her dogs Olaf and Jack as in "Jack Frost"
while my brain says that Jack (Titanic) was also cold ngl...
I’m thinking of Jack Frost from the The Rise of the Guardians movie
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought that 😭
I love gem and her hardcore sm
your secret entrance reminded me of all the hidden bases I’ve made in worlds past, I think I’ll do stuff like that for my new 1.21 world!
I just watched the previous episode last night because UA-cam recommended it and i wasnt feeling good, and i wake up today and poof! New episode yay!
it would be so cool if one of the wall sections was like a giant snowdrift. would be kinda realistic and would be a way to put your own spin on the ice biome terrain
I love the vibes this new series has, it will b perfect watching it in the future , while I'm gonna have a break on Christmas
As someone who recently died falling out of a jungle tree your "weird hole" fall gave me such a scare.
I am in love with these videos, although i only found @GeminiTay a couple days ago its nice to watch her video as i find them very chill and super relaxing to watch
I find it fascinating you chose a snowy theme at the start of summer but honestly I'm here for it. Loving the continuation of the series so far! 😊
I just started my summer break and this is gonne be the best playthrough to watch
Villagers: "We look away for 5 minutes.... and now theres a wall... hmmmmmm...."
..."Why did we never think of that?"
I love your hardcore series sm
