Have never seen a roll bar built this way. It does save a lot of room inside the car. Your friends and ego brought you to this point. Watching all your friends building cars to race, them egging you on to get involved and have as much fun as they were having. Pier pressure is a very powerful thing! It is hard to fight! And then you gave in and your ego took over and here you are!
Late happy birthday Hayden! When thing esclates is when you still feel it has potential to go faster. It's a deep hole when you have feel for it and comes with ideas that would/could work. Feels like you stepping up big time and then there is much about safety involved. When you are getting really fast. It's for a reason all of the safety features is there. Cause when you get the power down to the ground and it sticks. You are going up in crazy speeds on the tracks. And things happens sadly and then you know why you took the safety of things seriously. If you don't then that's the last thing you do in life many times. So looking forward to see the RX7 goes fast and protects you this season. Will be awesome to see what you are able to be doing on the tracks! Shoutout from Sweden
You know I have to say at first I wasn't sure about your videos but now I love just the complete brutal honesty and rawness of it. And even though it's completely inevitable once you hit like two 300,000 viewers like all the people to your immediate left and right try to keep it humble and shoot all the videos yourself and keep it real.
You're a savage!! Welds are always fire and now you're the first person to de-unibody a unibody I've seen 😂😂 usually people just cut the floor entirely to be lazy
Can't wait to see finished product! Love the work!!! See you boosted boiz and pfi really makes me wanna do something to my 95 integra but nobody around here builds cars so I'm lost where to start nothing crazy just a lil 300hp for now. Keep up good work though thumbs up!
Awesome video Thx I'm trying to install a cage into my Turbo LSX GTO and not sure if I wanted to weld to the body or build a promod like this lol subscribed
Offbeat garage has a really good video on notching. Sometimes you might have a crazy notch you can’t do with the machine and will have to do with a angle grinder. You should check out the video, he uses a website to print out templates that go on the bars to give you the perfect notch. Good luck on the build bro it’s turning out amazing
@@Metigulous hahaha i see To weld up the holes clean both sides of the sheet metal an get a decent thick piece of copper an hold it over the hole and mig weld the hole up. The copper wont stick and help create a plug weld. ✌
I’ve tried drilling, and then getting the mini hole saw style spot weld drillers, but I have found that a 1/2” belt sander is by far the best option, because you can always grind off the weld where the mini hole saw might not get all of it and possibly end up tearing a hole in the metal when you pry it off
This car is never going to make more than 1200HP. *cut to a little while later* "what's up guys, just finished building a 632 big block shooting for our first mid seven second pass"
It’s pretty ballsy to cut the “frame rails” out before gusseting, and fully welding up the tube frame to the car. The chassis had to of “tweaked” a little once you cut them out. I guess as long as the doors still close, it’ll be ok. Am I wrong?
Funny to see you learn the tire machine and fab up a killer roll cage haha! How did it get this far? Need for speed 💪🏻!! Happy birthday!! You weighing everything going back in ?
Hell brother this thing is progressing ridiculously fast but I’m pretty damn certain given the speed of things that you’re never going to stick to the 1000-1200 horsepower when you see how much more capable the car is going to be.
All the time man... Fir example.. I always wanted a 110 defender... Now because kids im ripping out the stock rear bench seats and fitting modern ones wuth headrests and building a cage to combat the pancake tendancy in a roll... Howd i end up here for sure.
So that means he only has a real birthday every 4 years I know someone as well that was born on Feb 29th and the in between years sometimes he celebrates his birthday on the 28th and then other times celebrates it on the 1st of March
"This car is never going to make more than 1000-1200 hp" - that's what we all try to tell ourselves Hayden!
Agreed
😅
@@Metigulous what's the most horsepower the transmission and rearend handle?
@@yojithecarguy rear end is due for an upgrade. We're still on stock 31 spline axles bois. And stock motor 😅

i guess I'm kind of randomly asking but does anybody know of a good website to stream newly released movies online?
@Emerson Caspian flixportal :D
@Mauricio Otis thanks, signed up and it seems like a nice service =) I appreciate it!
@Emerson Caspian Glad I could help =)
Happy Birthday Big-Dog!!!!
Happy Birthday Hayden !!
Never ever doubt Hayden and his fronius they can do anything that needs doing
Awesome job man! That thing is gonna be crazy strong!
The smoke in the shop might be getting to your head
Where did you get the cage book from! That's super nice!
Late happy birthday Hayden!

Coming together nicely, I’m learning a lot just by watching. Never made my own cage before, thanks for going over why you’re doing what you’re doing.
Truck definitely looks better, no more weak chicken legs 🤣
11:13 Lucy has no shame, my kinda girl. Drops a deuce whenever it’s clever 💩
Looks great
I know the feeling. A twisted Axle turned into a full frame off restoration on my 69 Bronco... I wish I still had it .
Love the fact that your showing the progress on the build. Keep it coming!
Doing a Great Job. Also Happy Birthday 🎂🍻

Cutting floor makes things so much easier. But your car looks good regardless can't wait to see it together. Best looking 240 I've seen.
Happy birthday bro keep up the good work
hayden deserves a sponsorship from texas speed ( a nice 427)
looking good so far good work. and happy birthday
Happy birthday!
The triangulation in that cage design is crazy! Awesome progress from the truck all the way to this wow!
So glad you’re finally doing this!
I like it, looks plenty strong!
happy birthday mate awesome work your doing there I bet you like that cordless pedal for your welder
Lucy is a sweetheart
I know this will be a little late, but Happy Birthday!
Nice work on the cage, dude!
That's a cage a zoo would be proud of :) Happy Birthday Hayden keep grinding bud!

Great Job!! Hayden..
Awesome work!
18x1/2 hand held belt sander won’t put holes just grind the spot weld flat
Damn man this is sick. Thanks for showing us the process. Why does one side have a bar the other doesn't?
Drives side requires a bar where the driver is. Probably to help it not squish you on side impact
@@Metigulous Gotcha. Figured something like that. Thanks man! Keep up the good work.
Love this stuff! One of these days I'll have my own fab setup.
Anyone else see the welding light through Hayden's left shoulder at 16:13? Crazy!
Yeah happy late bday bro.. I just turnt 29 myself.. we gettn wise not old!!! Car looks good keep up the killer fabn guy!
I have a feeling the 4 link brackets will be relocated mid season lol, then you will say, damn should of done this before!
Looks real good
Happy birthday hermano see you april 4th
Good show, cool dog!
Looks great dude, but hell of lot of work though. Much respect. Great job! And of course congrats with your Birthday brother!🎂🍾👍
Your crushing it! Keep it up brother.
Looks good great job
Hell yeah nice job on that
Hell yea brother happy birthday Hayden mines on the 1st hope you had a great one
Great job
Great job buddy
Nice fab work!
Wow Nicely Done! I hope some day I can weld like that! My welds usually hold ok but aren't much to look at lol 🤣
Looks awesome, now you can concentrate on going fast 💪🔥🇦🇺
For the holes in the floor pan you should just use fiberglass to fill them if they are small.
never makes a new video legend has it he's still welding the huge gaps
It's looking good. Another great video 👍👍🇨🇱
you welded it up free standing? aj foyt used to bolt his down to a block of granite to keep it from warping~~

Late happy birthday my dude!
Happy birthday bro all the best
There is some questionable joints and angles in that cage,
However it's a pretty good job.
Not sure what your background is with fab?
happy b-day
R your floor bars going to replace the structure of your unibody frame now?
Happy birthday Hayden
Started really liking the content
Happy birthday ! And I can’t believe you cut your rails out I know people who won’t buy a car if there even dented xD
My dude, what's your shipping address
Ill send you a proper spot weld drill bit
Seriously. I have a bunch around here. With a proper spot weld bit it would have taken half the time, and not left holes in the floor.
I was going to get one but home depot didnt have one and it was 10 at night 😂

Happy late birthday bro 🎂🎉 just cut the trans tunnel and make it bolt in the you will have access to the drive shaft
Awesome work. I really think you should reconsider redoing your 4 link pick up points though.
Make the inside frame bolt up to the underneath do you can get the drive shaft out and easyer to work on
What are u gona do with ur interior parts bro I actually need door panels and rear quarter panels for my first gen rx7
What book are you using with the diagrams
Instant thumbs up squad! *HYPE*
looking good man what transmition you using?

Addicted4Life ! Thos pieces are just floor supports to take the flex out of the floor boards all the structural support is in the rocker panels
What is the book for cage specifications?
135th with bells on!

How did it get this far? Need for speed 💪🏻!! Happy birthday!!
You weighing everything going back in ?
Cross member are made to flex. one of the reason why there spot welded. is it wise to welded a soild frame to it ?
Trying to keep things from flexing- make the car more rigid
Every thing I build gets bigger more spensive anyhow looks awesome ✌️
It looks awesome top stuff alot of hard work
New subscriber. Love the fab work.
