went for a fitting this past weekend, I have a very slow swing speed (low 70's) It was an hour fitting, I hit many drivers including the Qi10, as well as the Titelist and Callaway, also the Ping G430 my old driver was the G425, at the end of the day I gained 6mph ball speed with the Callaway Max D so I purchased it, I have played 3 rounds with it so far and the results on course are as good or better then what I saw in the fitting so am very happy with it.
Had a fitting for the Qi10 at the weekend, me and my son, swingspeeds 85 mph and 114 mph. I hit it about as far as Dave. We both came away with the same thoughts, the Callaway Paradym (our current driver) is better in every way! 20 yds further, better launch, better shot shape. Marketing and no more, same with the Ping G430 10k. The only other that I hit well was the Cobra Darkspeed, great club, but hated the looks. Paradym rules!
I just bought the qi max and qi irons. gained 20m with all clubs and eliminated my lefty fade. Finding fairways! Not much you can do for that vicious hook and slice though.
I’ve been a Ping fan ever since I was introduced to the Eye 2, and had a bag full of Pings last year including the G430 Max. I went in for a fitting to try out the “latest and greatest” thinking I’d leave with the new G430 Max 10k. I compared it with the AI Smoke, and the QI10 standard and Max versions. With a 95 mph swing (on an average day), I prefer a mid-launch with around 2700 spin to keep the ball in the air a bit. I struggled to get the Ping above 2200 and it had the lowest ball flight of the four options (even when we added loft). The AI Smoke was a little better and gave me a bit more carry, however, the QI10 was the easy winner for me. The standard had more total yards, but a little less carry. I opted for the Max version, and I was really surprised by how much I liked the sound and feel of the carbon face vs my previous driver. I’ve never been a fan of Rory, but I guess I’m on team TaylorMade this year. Added note - the headcover is incredible (if you care about that type of thing). Easily the nicest, imo, of the three mentioned brands.
You mentioned lessons Chris. I really like you both on the channel so this isn’t meant to be a poke, but isn’t it about time you fixed Dave’s driver swing?
I was going to suggest this- I refuse to believe that Dave can't swing the club faster than this, cold weather notwithstanding. A bit of speed practise and cut the butt end down by an 1 1/2- 2 inches ( you won't notice the difference) and you'll be smashing it 30 yards past yr current distance and fairways hit will go up dramatically too. It worked for me- literally was a gamechanger i promise you!

Same you can add weight to the heel and back of it to get more distance..

Hi I got a pxg same as dave I got about same swing speed I tried a senour shaft worked wonders as dave tried senour shaft

Might be my eyesight but on the taylormade driver was it a different shaft being used in door to the one outside.

Cant understand why Dave didnt use the Speeder shaft that is standard with the Max driver.
