for real all though the cars may be a little too heavy for the stop motion so i say even though i love the idea i say it depends if the track can hold all the cars in the stop motion race

To make the cars in each lane going side by side, you might use a DC-transformer used for model-trains. These are adjustable so the cars in each lane are able to follow each other properly, like in a real NASCAR race. And place the faster ones i the rear end, so the rows are kept together. 10 cars or more could be placed in each row. Use only 3 lanes this way if thats more realistic, and then let the inner lane be a pitlane. A model like this will look really great and be a popular attraction, wherever it's placed. Size of the track at least 15 feet long and 6 feet wide. Maybe larger if possible.
A Dirt Bristol speedway would be a great addition, making a little bit of a challenge to get the “dirt” in the track. And btw how much would it cost to make one of these with a free template?
Awesome craftsmanship! The ONLY constructive criticism I have is that I would have used 1.5mm LEDs instead of the larger 3mm LEDs it seems that you used.... More to scale and you could add more to achieve the same lighting effect.... Aside from that it looks amazing!

What about making a 4 lane slot-car track in 1:64? It's called HO scale, but is actually around 1:64. Not totally the right scale, compared to the length of the real oval, but anyway something similar. Adding a bunch of NASCAR slot-cars, running in each lane, side by side would look very good. TH
