- Hey guys! I hope this video helped you out in getting comfortable with IV calculations and if you're still having trouble, don't worry! This is all new and will take a little time to get the hang of it :) Just keep practicing these problems over and over again. And if you have any questions, just message me.

Thank you for putting this video out for a nursing student that left or (dropped out) of nursing school three classes shy of graduation bc of a very personal and difficult struggle in life that has lasted almost 10yrs, thank you for giving me this wonderful reminder how much I actually loved nursing math I can't believe that I remembered how to do all of the calculations bc of your tutorial ! I do believe that it is time to finish what I not only what I started but making realize how much I love being a nurse and how happy and driven to finally be confident enough come back to my absolute passion which besides my daughter is and will always be my love and passion which is NURSING! !

WOW!! I'm lost for words.. I've bought books for understanding IV calculations and nothing came close to understanding the calculations like your video. I feel like I have reached a higher learning. Thank you so much for simplifying things. I'm more confident now with doing IV Calculations.
im going tomorrow to take my national pharmacy technical certification test and needed some quick pointers on calculating drip rates. this was SOOOO helpful! straight and to the point and so simple to understand. math is NOT my strong point but i actually understand this and im so excited to be able to go tomorrow and know i can figure out these problems. thanks so much for this helpful video!
HeyRona, Thank you so much for this video! Your organized and systematic approach to dosage calculations really helped me get a better grasp of nursing dosage calc and clarify things I did not understand. I had to re-take a test and I was really nervous but I passed with 100%

Rona YOU are my hero I had failed my first of three chance dosage test I only had TWO more tries n I stumbled upon your video THANK you you have no idea how much it helped. This has been my dream to be an LPN and I really had no confidence that I would pass this second test and I did my first test was a 64% and my second test was a 96% so thank you with all of my being thank you

This is how I remember all of this.IV flow rate stuff.. Volume (mL)/Time (hr) = Y (Flow Rate in mL/hr) or Volume (mL)/ Time (min) x Drop Factor (gtts/mL) = Y (Flow Rate in gtts/min)... If it looks familiar it's like this basic dosage cal.. Formula: Ordered/Have = Y (Tablets Required) you are just inputting different variables that's all! Just remember to do all your, time, vol-unit, conversions and rounding. I do this the same way she shows.. I just get all those pesky conversions out of the way first! Very awesome video helped a lot thanks... your a very awesome teacher :)

I just finished nursing school this December we had to take a mandatory dosage calculations exam in order to continue the program. I failed the first exam with a 57 % 😒 My next time around after watching this video over and over again .I made a 100 on the retake exam.Ty 💜
