Just want to note that while a paramecium is a critical cell that can pop up on the IB 1.1 questions, the Chlamydomonas is also a cell that can appear on the IB exam and is significant to know. Overall great review though :D
Hi, i will be taking the DP exams in the year 2025 with the updated syllabus and i’m taking HL bio. If you do have time, could you create a video with the updated syllabus for the 2025 exams? I would greatly appreciate it :) These videos are also amazing !! keep up the great work!!
Hello! Yes I am currently working on the new 2025 videos right now - the content is quite different. You can expect to have the first few posted by the end of July/early August 😁
@@Elec2ricLearning hi that is so great! and i rlly appreciate your response. My question is will there also be one for chemistry HL or no? If not, no worries you’ve already helped me a lot ;) thank you.
@@alessiavanlieshout2253 You are taking HL chem also?! You rock! I am actually also working on the new chem curriculum as well, but that will be released at a much slower pace - bio is my first priority. Hopefully I will have a few videos published to help you out when you need them!
hi there! I loved your video and it helped a lot! I just have a question. In your description you have stated that "This lesson is based on the 2016 curriculum" but in your playlist it says 2016-2024. Since we are in 2023, and my e assessments are going to be in may of 2023, will your playlist still come in useful for the exams? (Im just worried of studying the wrong thing. Im also new to the system. Thanks!)
Yes! It covers the current curriculum that is tested from 2016 through 2024, so this is all useful to you. They are updating the curriculum for students testing in 2025 so you're in the clear. Any other questions please let me know!
Can you please make videos for all of the unit one topics? I found this video very helpful and I want to have all the IB units and topics available on here

First thank you for these mad videos exams in 2 days and its just perfect, just a question if I want to the tasks how can I do it I don't have access to the link in the description. Thank you!
So for you the test will be updated, most of the content will be very similar though. I'll be making videos for the new curriculum starting in February when they release it!
Hi! so basically I will be sitting the IBDP exams in 2025, I am taking biology HL and as a class we decided that the new syllabus (theme wise) is not very efficient or beneficial for us as we would need knowledge of basic cells to do something like DNA in detail. We showed our concern to our teacher and she was fine with following the old syllabus even though she was more inclined towards the new one. I wanted to know if that's okay? or is it better if we stick to how IB wants things done?
If you are taking the new 2025 exam you should be following the new syllabus. The content is similar, but it's different enough in some areas to make a difference in specific details that are tested. If you only study the old curriculum you will miss some important concepts. The new syllabus is designed to be taught in any order, so you can still cover cells first (which is what most teachers are doing). Hope that helps! If you have any other questions let me know.

where in the cell theory does it state that cells are autonomous units
I would say that is tied to the idea that cells are the smallest units of life

Thank you for your video !
Thanks for watching!
Thank you, this helped s much!!!!
Happy to help!
you da man
do the videos cover everything u need to know for finals from each chapter? Im short on time so i was wondering. HL btw
My videos cover the SL content. I am releasing a practice exam HL video next week though, so be on the lookout for that!
@@Elec2ricLearning yeah i meant if they cover all the things needed to know for sl content for the chapters u have videos on
I would say they cover about 95%. The only concepts missing are a few of the skills. Hope that helps!
Is this for SL or HL
This is SL for the old 2016-2024 curriculum
Hi can you please share the new curriculum of IB biology for for the student who will attempt exam in 2024
All of the videos I have currently uploaded are for the 2024 exam (2024 is the last year for the current curriculum). New videos will be for 2025!
Is this an IBDP 11th and 12th grade course?
Yes it is!
Do this play lists contain SL,HL ??
The playlist covers SL/HL topics but not the HL only topics. I have an HL only review coming out tomorrow.
@@Elec2ricLearning 🙏🏻
Are there any vids on the HL content?
Not yet unfortunately... Still working through everything 😥 hopefully soon!
For olevels biology?
For IB biology! Though I'm sure there are many similarities
