I bought these pencils and I LOVE them!! I am very happy that you are using them in videos. I enjoy being able to reference the exact colour that you mention. I don't have high-end pencils as I don't sell my work and I don't have the budget. I always feel that I lose out because I can't choose the exact colour. Already in this video, I got to learn 3 pencil combos cuz you name them. Thank you!! Excellent video. :)
@@PamelasPassionforPencils just FYI, if I may, lol, I have the Faber Castel Classics, the Amazon Basics and some Crayola. So far my favourites are the Arrtx. I would also love to learn, with the Arrtx set how to put them in the colour wheel order. :) Just a few thoughts.
@@darlene9045 I would love to have someone explain how to choose the light/med/dark shading colours. Step by step with this set for example would be awesome!!
I love Amazon paper ❤️ so glad to see it done on Amazon paper and actually like how these pencils lay down more on the Amazon paper. ❤️😍 just got my set today and absolutely didn’t need them 😂😂❤️
This was fascinating!!! So enjoyable to see how the pencils worked differently on the different books. As always wonderful work. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. 💚
I just saw a review of these pencils on Art Gear Guide. He really liked them. You have given me the inspiration to check these out. Than ou Pamela. That was a fair review.
Hi Patty! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. I think you will really love these if you decide to order them. I also have a full review on them here: ua-cam.com/video/MHMD65WvQsA/v-deo.html
I would love to see a head to head with Prisma and Arrtx please. Thanks for showing the different papers. As I am a predominantly Prisma user did you do this same test on paper in another video? I'd love to see that.
Feel really disappointed that you found they didn't work as well in Kerby Rosanes books and the Johanna Basford books. I have some of the cheaper Amazon paper books and am excited to use them in those books.
I bought these after watching your last video and I am so happy I got them! They are perfect for when I want a smaller palette and I love the way they lay down!
It would be cool to see Prismacolors compared to other brands on different coloring books. I know Prismacolor will always be your preferred, but seeing you compare other brands on the same pages would be awesome. Maybe a series : Which brand works best on Joanna Basford coloring books or Kirby Rosanes(?) books or Hanna Karlson books or Maria Trolle books or Deborah Mueller books or any of the top selling coloring books! 🙏 Show us the exceptional, good, and okay! 🤗 It seems like Prismas work best on everything so always the point of comparison.
I would love to see how these compare to the Derwent Chromaflow pencils in those colouring books. Also, I had heard that Amazon changed it's paper so worth checking them out on a recent publication. Many of us colour direct into colouring books so this is a really good test. Thank you for taking the time to test these out.
I don’t think Amazon has changed their paper. I have a very recent Amazon printed book and the paper is the same as it’s always been. I’m so glad this video was helpful. 💕
Nice comparison of different pencils on different paper. Would also be great to see comparison of different techniques such as the small circles vs small crosshatching . Can more layers be obtained with different methods? Does changing the pencil stroke enable more layers, better blending, etc. This is just one example. A experienced artist/colorist could probably come up with many more techniques to test. As far as the Neenah not having any takers. It may have been the way the option was presented. Neenah makes more than one type of paper. It would be nice to see the same type of comparison for different brands of pencils /pens/ markers on the various types of bulk paper for those that print images or draw their own. Also Neenah is not the only affordable bulk paper brand. Fill in the blank with a widely available more affordable than Professional Artist papers and do the same type of test. Would be so informative and helpful as UA-camrs , bloggers , etc could reach out to manufacturers for say a dozen sheets of each type of paper to do the comparison. Purchasing a pack of 250 sheets of each type of paper by a given manufacturer would be overwhelming for most hobby artist.
I was very disappointed to see that they didn't work well in Kerby's books but I specifically purchased them to use them alongside my prismacolors in those books. I'm wondering if they work well in Johanna Basford's new books since the paper changed. Thanks for sharing!
Could you try these pencils in a colorit book....and and eriy romatic country book?? Thank you for all you do...learned so much from watching your videos.... Also have you tried these on any black paper?
That is a very hard decision. I think I like both these the same, but for different reasons. There are many unique colors in the Bruts and being square they’re very different. They also have many more colors.
@@PamelasPassionforPencils thank you for the response. I have the 120 bruts and was thinking of trying to save up for the artx but I think I’m good with just the bruts.

There is low stock but they do keep restocking. There are more sets on their way to the Amazon warehouse. The coupons have expired because of the low stock I believe.

I just picked these up for the sale you mentioned!! $35.99 for 126 pencils!!
Enjoy!
About the Amazon paper, I wonder if it depends on where the book was printed. Mine are printed in Ontario Canada and I really like the paper.
