In nursing school with two kids raising them alone, working, homeless, always some issue or other arising but for some reason I'm still striving. I'm in an accelerated nursing program with 5 semesters and i am currently in my 4th semester so I acknowledge God is good. I pray I make it to the last stretch without anymore hick ups. So whoever sees this just want you to know it is possible. The key is your belief, hardwork and determination do not accept defeat. God bless!!

Thanks for the video, nursing school is not a walk in the park. You just have to tell yourself setbacks equal a better comeback.

Great advice! Don't ever give up on yourself. Even after I became an RN, I used the strategy of building my weaknesses into strengths. I am now a critical care nurse, got my CCRN, and I recover open heart surgery patients. Whenever I found myself uncomfortable with something, I studied up and immersed myself in the subject until I became an expert. Never give up!

Thank you for this! It seriously bought tears to my eyes because this is a decision I have really been struggling with due to the fact that I have 5 little ones and my husband to care for. I know through The Most High all things are possible but it is so good to hear you ladies say it and can testify to it. Thank You again!

Love this advice and testimony. I am almost done with undergrad, and i have had to repeat classes for my major. I've learned to keep pushing, and trusting God. You guy's are such an inspiration. Thank you.
    P.S. I'm a Biochemistry/Medical Journalism major

Very inspiring. I have had many setbacks during my nursing school journey, but I cannot wait until I have completed it and God gets the glory of my situation. I lost my boyfriend in a car accident during my very first semester of nursing school and every since then everything seems to go downhill. However, I continue to press on and I know the reward will be greater! Love this video!

Great video. I've been stopping and starting towards nursing school since forever. Now at 31 instead of 21 I am in nursing school as a single mom. My family is behind me and it will be done. Thanks for the encouragement.

Never give up on your dreams!! I was accepted into nursing school on my first try, had to leave the program in the first semester because my mom kept getting sick. I applied to another school and was just accepted and I start next year. Oh yeah, my mom is doing very well. I will get my RN. Thanks for these videos, they are very inspirational.

Thank you for this inspiring video. I was also one of those people who applied for nursing school and didn't get in. I seriously still have a problem running into my peers who applied the first time and got and having them feel sorry for me. It was embarrassing...but I am applied again and hopefully this time we will shall see Say a prayer for me ^_^

I know exactly how you felt. I failed an assignment by 5 marks and although I passed the exam I failed the subject and had to redo it. This delayed my graduation and placement by 6 months and at age 50 this is significant. I am about to sit the exam for the subject in a week and have failed the assignment by 7 marks this time. I am hoping and praying that I will pass.
Thanks for your encouragement. Vicki (Australia) 2nd year nursing student

Great vid. It was interesting listening to you talk about the setbacks experienced in school as those issuses have been around for decades. I had one minor one back in the day in that I had 2 required English classes before I could apply to NS. The problem was that everyone in the college was also required to have these classes. I wasn't able to get the second class in my freshman year and had to wait until the next year to get it. That was all I needed to apply. That one class set me back a whole year. It was a bummer, but in the end actually ended up being a good thing as they say when one door closes another is opening, but to notice you have to pay attention.
One thing I can say with great certainty for anyone out there having a Nur Sch set back, is that one day you will look back and realize that the event that seemed like the end of the world at the time, in actuality was a very minor blip on the radar screen of life.

My spirit was lifted a little. Next year I will be applying for nursing school. I've already had a few of my own setbacks academic wise. But I'm working really hard on my GPA and hopefully everything works itself out. If not, I hope to not be too discouraged...
    Great video

Omg, I so needed to see this. I'm going through the same thing as far as not being accepted and always getting so close but then falling short. Just like u said im used to doing well without really applying myself but after being rejected it's like a wake up call. But now that im motivated and ready to push through whatever, I keep falling short of being accepted. Then I started to feel like maybe it's just not for me . . . But thanks so much for the vid :-)
