Rusty Vintage Animal Trap Restoration

- I found an antique animal trap rusted and ready for a restoration. This vintage trap is going to need a little rust removal and elbow grease to fix it. Good thing I have my trusty rusty hand tools for this type of restoration. Enjoy the asmr sounds and make sure you watch as I take this rusty old tool and repair it to its former glory. Shoulda just tossed it in a boil of trap dye then waxed it lol good to go the way it was
Now its already to be put out doors for a few weeks so it can get a coat of rust on it so it can be waxed or dipped great job it was better before you started

I own lots of these traps and none of the ever looked like this.
Yeah, missing teeth
It was never designed to have teeth, this appears to be like a #3 Bridget offset jaw. Definitely not an antique or vintage. Traps with teeth haven’t been in use since the 1800’s. And have since become illegal
@jeremygourde9880 the pan clearly states its an onidea Victor #2 lol and if you look up the patent number that trap is indeed an antique trap

Now weld it closed so it can't be used!
More like ruined the trap. There was no restoration here. All that was needed was to soak the trap in vinegar for a few days, take it out, hose it off then boil it in walnut hulls to dye the trap and with some paraffin wax melted on top of the boiling walnut hull dye to seal and protect and seal and it’s done. .

I agree
