The difference between Brian and his dad is that Brian is more of an extrovert. His dad was more shy and preferred talking through characters (Kermit, Rolph, Dr. Teeth) on talk shows. Brian can just sit and talk. Nothing wrong either way. It's just how they work(ed).
As an adult, I am so grateful for the muppets, fraggle rock, the dark crystal, and sesame street. The message I took away from those was to love ppl . They dont have to be 'real' family. Family is who you love and who loves you back
Disney evolved into a company that Walt wouldn't even recognize, let alone agree with. I feel the same about Jim Henson's company. It should never have been sold to Disney.
Well I actually think that they were doing ok, with the muppets 2011 and especially muppets most wanted. But the sequel really did not do very well to the box office, hence probably making it hard to produce more films.
@@FreeSpiritPaulette Exactly...a bit of the vision gets lost when a concept takes a public hit. Diminishes original charm and direction...then funding for projects suffer. Jim Henson never compromised on that.
Agreed and from what I understand before Jim died, there were extremely tough negotiations with Disney (which may or may not have contributed to his death) so Disney were messing around with the muppets even then.
That's true (Re: late night Muppets) and that Wilkins commercial got pretty in your face (with a CANNON) "How do you like Wilkins?" The Muppet SHOW wasn't PG 13 but it wasn't G either. I even remember Kermit say, in a cloaked fashion, "Before that happens, some very very warm places will freeze over." So, okay. Just so long as Kermit , Fozzie, and company, aren't dropping F bombs like it's WW2, I'm okay with it.
That was cool, though I wish you didn't cut off the Disney discussion. And I didn't know that that was the first Muppet penguin, and that it was built by Brian!
Even if Brian Henson made a movie combining Sesame Street, The Electric Company, and Square One TV parodies is something great with outrage melodramatic acts. This includes parody segments such as a monolith made out of cardboard boxes for laughs and giggles. This includes that female gymnast segments such as Between, Around, Up & Down, Beginning to End, Close To & Away From. Slow, and Over and Under done by famous female gymnast Alexandra Raisman.
Such a lovely man just like his amazing father

Happy Time Murders is a fun movie. Brian Henson took some chances and it worked.
It flopped

Couldn’t of said it better myself.

I respect more Muppets than I do actual people.
Brian's really starting to look like his dad.
He definitely has the height!!
He even sounds like his dad. He would be great as Kermit the Frog, Ernie, and Guy Smiley(if they ever bring him back)
Now that looks like fun time, kinda makes me want to play with a puppet. Also strombo radio show is awesome can't wait for next Sunday.

Wow, I know a lot of people probably say this but he looks a lot like his dad.
Brian should make another family muppet film. Or a film with creatures from the shop.
he sure dose look like Jim, he might be mistaken for him.
Well, that is his son.
