    Musical genius. Want 'Woodbrook' played at my funeral . Condolences to Michael and all his extended family on your immense loss. I am sure he is resting in peace.A gifted soul who is still giving to us all and for ever.....Lost my Dad a few weeks before Michael and am sure they are having a big chin-wag in heaven. Rest in peace to you both.Love ye for ever xxx

    He was a genius on the piano’ and was a sort of Sean O’ Riada for our time. He was taken too soon’ and had more to offer.

    Thanks for posting. I have a tape from long ago that I recorded of Mícheál Ó'Súilleabháin playing The Three Sea Captains accompanied on bodhrán on the radio programme, An Fáinne Óir. I became an immediate fan at that time. At last I have put a face to the name of this genius.

    The first piece, Woodbrook has been for years the closing on Corks 96FM radio Sunday morning “Oldies and Irish” with Derry O’Callaghan. A beautiful composition. RIP Micheál.
