@@undercoveragent9651 but the problem is there is so much incentive in govt jobs that people don't even want to go for other options(private jobs), people would go to private if they are there and pay enough, but govt does not want to attract investment. Like example
If u have only 100 ₹ then you spend only 60-70% right
But If you have 500 then you spend 60-70% (350) so you spend more money. And govt want u to use more money because govt get tax every time u spend any money.
If u have 20cr in your secret room than u 0% contribution in GDP
But if you spend 20cr than govt happy 😅
Govt don't need poor people and that truth because poor not spend much.

NPS is just adamant step of government. NPS is forcing the employees to save the money for a future. But you should know the economy runs by spending the money instead of saving.
This person in video has done a very poor analysis. He is just focusing on the bills for ops and it is not showing the amount government is already paying for NPS. If OOPS will be given to employees they can spend more money for their livelihood. Which will lead to more indirect tax collection to the government and economy roll out. And it will create more jobs for the citizens of India. I think government should immediately scrap this NPS policy

Employer have to match it. Max amount per person is limited, lower than that is counted relatively. If based on my salary, my contribution is 1500$ than employer has to contribute 1500$ in gov pension plan as well. At 65, based on my contribution figures, I will get pension. An employee who has worked till age of 60 would like a peaceful retirement but as NPS is market dependent, it makes it worrisome that you may/'may not' get your investment back, and you don't have any control over your investment.

If for a pension of 25-30k to a govt employee who has served the country for 25-30 yrs is putting so much stress on the govt's treasury, why are they paying 80k-1 lakh Rs. pension to the political leaders some of whom are elected only once or twice i.e. for a term of 5-10 yrs? Doesn't that put a stress on the govt's finance?
I hope to get an answer to this. Because govt employees aren't the only people who are getting pensions, political leaders get it too right? And political leaders are not just MPs n MLAs, all of the elected n nominated members of different govt institutions like panchayati raj and ULBs also are included in this. Please explain the stress their pension puts on the govt's finance too.

@@ankushmukherjee3219 I think you should study the facts. Employees after serving for 15 years of service are getting below 4k as monthly pension. And for your information after an early death the amount of pension will depend on the amount accumulated in pension funds which is obviously very less. I have seen the facts in practical so it's easy to understand what is good and what is bad. In OPS there is capp of minimum 9k pension but in NPS there's no assurance at all. If NPS is so better then why defence sector and politicians are kept out of this more beneficial scheme?? Are these people are of less importance???

    • @ankushmukherjee3219
      @ankushmukherjee3219 Рік тому +8

@@mayureshraul9091 Okay. Let's talk then, free and fair.
      1) Only Army comes under OPS thanks to legacy issues and lack of courage on political economy front, but large part of defense ie CISF, CRPF all that comes under NPS.
      2) Canada, France are amongst the nation's with most efficient and advanced pension systems both based on contribution based scheme like NPS. If these countries can go for reforms, then why shouldn't India that actually needs more fiscal space being an emerging economy?
      3) The whole idea behind contribution based pension scheme is to free up fiscal space to use resources for wider number of people and also to reduce piling up of debt etc. Often too generous pensions etc are principal cause behind weak macroeconomic strength which ultimately gives rise to risks of Greek like economic collapse. Risk management wise, it's fair to be conservative about such revenue expenditure which also helps in ensuring we keep away from crisis due to strong health of the overall economy.
      4) You can't have everything without compromises. If you want OPS, then you can't ask for good salaries. Let there be low salaries like it was in 1970s (Inflation adjusted), then ofcourse OPS can be given. The idea is to increase govt expenditure on productive aspect of economy by reducing liabilities that don't add extra value to growth. Are you willing for this compromise?
      5) Politicians don't get NPS because short terms are too less for pension funds to work well. 15 year period will give low pension but only 4k? I've read in some irrelevant news but give me some authentic source.
      6) I don't mean to say NPS is perfect. We need to keep improvising things. There could be minimum pension protection provision, by investing in hedge funds overseas or through govt expenditure but completely reverting to OPS at this high pay scale on PPP basis, is fiscally unsustainable. What Rajasthan is doing is basically a fiscal disaster, anyone with a sane mind would be scared about their future.
I am sorry you can't have best of both worlds. Not possible. We are not living under some colony of govt employees where masses have to keep working hard without much benefits to ensure fruits of their hard work is enjoyed by one segment of population in form of privileges that are clearly more than necessary. It's about time desi govts learn to cut their cloth according to its length.
If India today say had 35% less pension bill it has then we could have spent additional 2 Lakh crores as govt expenditure which could have easily supported the creation of 50 Lakh jobs more.
In future of automation and AI that are likely to render many labour intensive jobs useless, it would make a lot more sense to free up fiscal space and support employment through govt expenditure rather than using too much resource for only one segment of population at the cost of the other.
Economics at this level is the art of balancing things, ensuring maximum impact with limited resources.
I say this completely free of political views, but as an individual working in an organization who basically makes macro economic reports as his job to help other companies take sound business decisions.

We are hearing this for long time now but can you ever thought when will our country india become a "developed country"
It will become a developed country when our center and state govts will put more money into infrastructure development projects like highways, railways, airports, education, health, electricity, dams, canals instead of freebies.
Yes there are many social wellfare schemes which can't be called freebies and really needed for inclusive growth of the society.
    But
Always see how much money our state and center govt is spending on development and how much on freebies.
Because if our govt is not spending more money on development then after 20 years we will still say
