These episodes are terrible for women's self-esteem. After abasing herself in front of her husband, him not being able to tell her whether she is what he wants, and having him nearly make love to her and then reject her, Macy's response should be: "Eff this, I'm outta here." Instead it's: "I know he still loves me so I'll continue to abase myself until he comes around."
Yes. I feel terrible for Macy the way she is obliterating her own sense of self-worth. It's always been Macy's biggest weak spot that Thorne matters more to her than her own dignity and mental health, even more than her life and personal safety. Time and time again she has nearly got herself killed, literally, because of her love for Thorne.
Silly Sally kept telling her to fight for her husband, if you have to fight for him he’s not worth it, and Thorne doesn’t trust Sally, I trust Sally more than I would trust him
Macy really needs to leave Thorne when a Man goes this far to disrespect you by allowing another woman he is interested in to live in the same home with you, For me to even say this is lunacy no Woman who loves and respect herself would never allow this. Macy needs to love herself more than Thorne.

He is perfectly fine going on without making any decisions concerning her and their marriage.
He was a controlling jerk in the first year of there marriage. Telling her to not be around her mom. To not work at spectra Then not getting g how she wasn't elated to just stay at home without her job or her mom in her life He can't possibly understand why she isn't happy with him. She finds a small amount of happiness with Jake. But her love for Thorne wins out. Now seeing the begging of there relationship. I wonder how they were together for so many years.
@Song River I agree with everything you've written - Thorne has put Macy through so much (and of course the worst is still to come, knowing everything he will put her through in the future). But the real tragedy is that they clearly do love each other and are miserable when they're apart. Macy loves Thorne with every fiber of her being, despite the way he is treating her and despite the toll the relationship is taking on her. And Thorne loves Macy deeply but is too lacking in basic social skills to handle being in a relationship with a person who has a will of her own, her own life, and her own opinions. He seems not as much unwilling as genuinely *unable* to understand Macy's point of view. For some reason he is always very quick to judge Macy and believe the worst about her, while expecting her to always stand by him and see the best in him. (Yes, there was Jake, but that was the *only* time Macy wronged Thorne, and she realized it and put an end to it.) So to me, it feels like Thorne and Macy are always on the verge of having a really wonderful relationship but Thorne's immaturity and stupidity (not the warring families like I used to believe) keeps getting in the way.
@@trinit2108 watching the show this time around, it seems to me Thorne has some serious underlying issues. There is an almost obsessive undercurrent to his need for control and reassurance. I remember joking about it back when Thorne wouldn't stop proposing to Macy although she already accepted his proposal the first time, with Thorne even asking for the ring back so he could do it all over again and "get it right". At the time I thought it was a flaw in the writing but maybe it was a way of showing a flaw in Thorne. And Thorne seems to have real problems with social interactions and reading a situation correctly. He also has a huge blind spot when it comes to understanding how his actions affect other people emotionally. And then there's his impulse control issues and his extreme sensitivity to perceived rejection.
It's such a shame Macey seems to of forgotten all the awful things Thorne did to her, letting his family threaten her with jail, blaming her when Sally found Stephanie ( who had lost her memory and was living on the streets), Thorne was a complete ass

Thorne's point of view in all this is getting more and more incomprehensible. He *clearly* wants Macy. He has loved her for years. They have many things in common. He actually knows her. He knows she loves him. Karen is just a stranger who looks like his first wife whom he lost to his brother. That is literally *all* she brings to that so-called relationship. Okay, that and probably the cooking and watering the plants part that was his motivation for asking her to move in in the first place. Other than that, Karen just goes on and on about how much fun she is, while killing the atmosphere in the room with her negativity. Thorne and Karen don't even know each other. So what is taking Thorne so long making this decision? Especially seeing how much his indecisiveness is hurting his wife.
This. He does not know who the hell Karen is. Faith/Karen changed her looks and personality to be caroline. Which is why Thorne was initially attracted to her.
@@trinit2108 you are probably right. Karen is a wish-fulfillment fantasy for Thorne.
