The owner sent me an upgraded upper shaft to replace this one. I used it today for the first time, and it was AWESOME. It swings real nicely in the water

My advice is do not! Someone got 10k of tbeir Barbie doll collection stolen by posting them...Luckily she caught them in the act, called the Sherrif, they fled, were caught and luckily she got her collection back. Put them in the bank safety box...@DetectFlorida
Maybe do it as you put each piece in a safety deposit box and end the video with you walking into a bank (don’t show which one) and putting the box away.
I was really skeptical when it came to those shafts but hopefully you'll get a replacement soon. I'm curious if you would be interested in trying some different headphones? I have some prototypes that are being put out into the field now.
It was the aluminum upper shaft that broke. Either a carbon upper, or a solid aluminum upper would be much better than that thin walled aluminum that was used

I actually found a French copper shipwreck coin not far from here a few days later. I didn't realize until I dumped my pouch out and heard a coin hit the table that didn't sound like the rest of the coins.

You’ve got that right! That was just a prototype shaft made from aluminum. I actually purchased the company that makes them, and I make them out of carbon fiber now. There’s about 100 of them out in use, and I haven’t had one fail yet 😎
This was just a prototype shaft with the upper being made out of aluminum. The production version is now made out of carbon, and I've been using them on all of my machines without any issue 😎 They cut through the water like a hot knife through butter!

I'm the person who makes those shafts now haha. They're made out of solid carbon fiber rather than the aluminum one that was used in this video

Hey Chuck. I only wear wetsuits in the colder months. Henderson is my personal choice. A little pricey, but WELL worth the comfort

They can make shafts in any shape they don’t have to be thinner to cut thru water they could be squared

Nah, this shaft is AMAZING to swing in the water. Once he overcomes the weakness issue, this is all you'll see me using when I hunt shallow water

This was one of his earlier aluminum shafts. They're now all carbon fiber and are amazing. It's what I use for all of my water hunting

I just heard back from Owl Engineering. He made a new upper shaft with a carbon fiber sleeve fitted inside. We'll see how it holds up
