I always find it crazy when people try to act like Jay-Z isn't one of the best lyricist. It's most likely because they only hear his radio songs and never listen to the album. His radio songs are often the least lyrical songs on the albums.
@Nefarious_Bread Lupe is great, in my top 5 but I wouldn't say his wordplay is better or more impressive than Jay. His best attribute I'd the concealment and concept. Jay has some bars that are just jaw dropping sometimes.

All the Slick Rick samples are from on song, The Ruler's Back, paying homage to Rick who is on Girls, Girls, Girls. Also paying homage to Rakim and Kane. Over 30 years of relevance these lines are just a small part of Jay's catalog. Like you said, you can do this with any rapper.
