- After living in Australia for almost 6 years, I decided to describe four main reasons why I love Australia and why it is worth moving here.

One of the reasons I love Australia is because of diverse people like you. The different foods we have and constant push for tolerance with every generation. Welcome and I'm glad you came x
Thanks a lot 🙂
Its people like you that Make our country great.
You know Aussie Girl, I met this Asian girl who spoke with a broad westie accent - about as ocker as you can get. She said to me 'I was Aussie the moment I got of the plane'. That made me feel proud to be an Aussie. So it goes both ways I think and hope.
My great grandfather came out in 1850 after being condemned to death for having a bad political attitude. Forty years later he tried to re-enter Germany as a dying man to say goodbye to his family and friends there. A warrant was immediately issued for his arrest to implement the death by firing squad sentence.
What he wrote at the time was 'I shall return to the Sunny Freedoms of my adopted homeland (Australia)'. That rings in me.
I'm proud of that and proud of you Aussie Girl!
@@rictechow231 you should be proud to be a Aussie. Cheers mate
Having been born here seventy years ago, I love this country a little bit more now that you are in it. A belated welcome - I hope we can live up to your expectations.
sometimes u take it for granted ... its always fun listening to someone remind us why we are so lucky
6 years in and we still haven't annoyed you. Whatever you do, do not lose that accent.
Haha😄 no, love it stronger with each year
Thanks ☺️
Have a niece in Tasmania, have to listen closely to her especially if she talks fast
🤩🇺🇸🇦🇺
What an amazingly well-thought-out video and narrated perfectly, I am so glad you choose Australia to live in because we are the better for it, thank you.
Please realize that if you are a citizen, you are Australian and not "almost". I don't care what colour, gender, religion or race you are, if you are a citizen, then you are one of us. The best part of Australia is that we are very syncretic. We smoothly take on the best of what new Australians provide from coffee to food. BTW, i love your accent too!
I, for one, am not syncretic, and take great umbrage with you calling me syncretic
@@Philmrose hmm, ever had a pizza?
fair go, you dont have to crack onto her LOL 🤣😜
Personally, I agree. People can look like anything, have any accent, but if you're a citizen, you're Aussie. The state I consider "Almost Australian" is someone working towards citizenship, but are not quite naturalised yet. That's an Almost-Australian.
Only one thing she have to do is the past the rite of passage. The Sizzle from Bunnings.
Wow, what a great vid. You are a very impressive lady. No BS , real, natural and charming. Enjoy your life in this brilliant country.
Thank you so much ☺️ It is is brilliant indeed.
What a lovely person. I love when a person comes to Australia and loves it. I hate when people come here and all they do is whinge.
Anyone whinging doesn't deserve to be there. I'm sick so can't even come for a visit and show my kids where I used to live or meet up with old friends again. I miss it so much. xxx
@@bunnymad5049 You eventually will be able to come back. Keep that hope alive.
.. . only POMs are allowed to whinge...
Ones who do that have never lived overseas. They don't realise we still have it easier here
@@bunnymad5049 People are allowed to whinge. Always something to whinge about.
I love hearing people’s opinions of the country I am born and bred. I love hearing about the differences between their home country and Australia and it makes me proud to be an Aussie when so many from lands afar share their love for Australia and our way of life.
Great video and thank you so much.
Great to have you here. Somebody that appreciates what we have here and doesn't insist on trying to turn it into the very place they left is very refreshing. Cheers 🍻
You are such a beautiful and grateful young lady.. I am very happy you enjoy our wonderful country.
I'm glad you're enjoying your life in Australia, and I hope that one day you get some more furniture.
That’s what happens when you get a mortgage here 😆 probably need to make another video about minuses of Australia especially house prices 😆
That's okay, I'm only joking. I've been there and done that, so I know how it is.
You are lucky you never moved to New Zealand then. House prices there are criminal.
@@LTLT900 They used to be ok. But over the past 5 years, house prices here in Palmerston North have actually doubled. It's disgusting. You can now buy a horrendous hovel for $500,000. Five years ago you could buy a nice house that needed a little paint for $230,000.
@@bunnymad5049 the government lets all the rich Chinese buy house land businesses here they don’t give a shit about Australians! Only 💰
Welcome Almost Aussie Girl. So glad you like it here and are settling in. I guess in your next video you’ll have to explain how expensive it is to live, travel and buy a house here. We all get used to it sooner or later, so I hope you will be able to save for a home and make it your own, and then finally visit all those beautiful places in your video. I still haven’t seen them all, still can’t afford it! Anyway, your positive attitude will take you far.
Thank you for appreciating our beautiful country, wishing you love and a healthy life in Australia mate.
Love your accent, so pleasant to listen too.🙄
It is a delight to hear people like you loving my country Australia. I love Australia and I can say it is the best in everything.
Yeah it is superb in incarcerating innocent people, murdering the orginal owners and denying its past.
Welcome, so many adventures to have in Australia. Have lived here my whole life and still so much to see.
The Nullarbor from Sydney to Perth has been a favourite in recent times!
Before the 80's crossing the nullabor crossing was a real adventure (especially during a torrential downpour)' with over 380 miles of gravel road.
As soon as my tyres hit the dirt road, the rain started (it was late January 1969). Could not go faster than 25 mph (it was 11 o'clock at night).
Passed quite a few vehicles parked on the side of the ride. At about 1 o'clock the head light fuse went so we pulled over.
I lived in Australia for three years when I was really young (12-15) and I so wish I could move back. I love NZ but Australia is my other home. I'm even back in touch with school friends and it's so lovely. Such a beautiful place and beautiful people. Aussie rocks!!!! Glad you are enjoying it. It looks like you're doing well, having your own home!!! Well done!!!! Furniture will come. We were in Queensland and just loved it. Bless you!
Welcome to Aus, loved your video
What I loved about your video is that you are embracing our way of life. We are different, many cultures make up Australia now, that is what makes us so unique and diverse. In this Great Southern Land of ours, we do have it all. So much of the world 🌍 do not realise we even have snow in the SE of the country. Thank you, I hope you continue to enjoy and appreciate all 🇦🇺 has to offer 👍👍👍
Thank you !!!
Thank you for your video. Sometimes I forget the good things we have, but you remind me. Thank goodness for people like you being part of our community.
Im in my 80's and born here. My appreciation of my country has been increased by the experiences of people such as you. May you stay with us and learn even more. it makes us all a richer people
My dad moved to Australia in the 70s, his goal was to originally make money before going back to Yugoslavia but found life here so much easier and better that he stayed.
Tho I would say the hardest thing for me growing up in Australia is needing to correct people on my name due to either spelling or pronunciation....but glad you're loving it here :)
Dad was from the Ukraine and came to Australia after WW2 - welcome and enjoy your new life
Thank you for your lovely sentiments and atttitude towards this wonderful country. If every migrant that came here had your approach we would not have any issues with new arrivals. Sadly, many refuse to let go of the attitudes and ways they left behind and just end up importing their problems with them.
The best thing about Australia is the culture immigrants add. After traveling elsewhere now I understand how good our food is and who we have to thank for it.
Welcome to Australia. We appreciate you and thw contribution you make to our wonderful country. I hope you stay and have a great life with your family. 💙💙💙💙🎆I Happy New year xxx
I've been here 30 years, it's a GREAT country!!!
Australia is a lucky country, most of the Aussies don’t realise this. Be grateful people. Thanks for the video.
My Family moved here 1 st of January 1968 I have not left this country since and I would not want to live anywhere else but here.
Welcome and the fact that your are still here after six years shows that you are you here to stay Aussie.
Thnx for your kind words on our beautiful country & we welcome you with open arms.
Hi. You're so pretty and I love your accent. My own heritage is Persian but I moved to Sydney from London and absolutely LOVE it. Australia is the best country in the world to live in my opinion. People from all ethnicities get along nicely and Aussies are very down to earth and friendly. Just love it totally. Hope you keep thriving and enjoy your new life. Lots of love.
I love Australia, I have been here for 10 years. I am so lucky being able to live here.
Welcome to Oz Qi Qi
great vid - welcome to Oz!!!
I got off the plane and that was all it took for me, and what a crap hole I used to live in. The USA is not #1 not by a long shot omg people are so much better in Australia
Better here than there at the moment.
Thank you ❤️
Welcome. Glad to have another great person join us. Fantastic
Glad you're enjoying your stay!
Australians need to see this video.
Lovely hope your still here and loving it as I am sure you have brought some wonderful things with you to show and teach us
Almost Aussie Girl@ Truely from the heart comments. Both our children have seen snow, yet my wife has not! When she complains about this I tell her it’s 5 minutes of fun followed by 23 hours and 55 minutes of being a pain in the arse. Our son stopped travelling with us until we visited Europe recently as in his words “We had been everywhere in Oz”! You be the judge? I myself have not seen wave rock, White Haven beach or Uluru but have been darn close to two and respect the Aboriginal too much to visit Uluru. The rest are photo memories with our kids of all the other places you mentioned. One of the best being watching continuous whale breaching off the coast of Yallingup WA from a rooftop platform as the sun set following a nieces wedding day, or hand feeding jumping Seal lions off the wharf in Carnarvon WA. The top end is now on my wife’s bucket list as the last part of this continent to visit as we never got passed Mackay, mine would be a skiing holiday in NZ. Enjoy Australia we certainly have and appreciate those that do also! P.S. based in the Sydney Basin if ever you want to meet a true Australian family for dinner, with a friend email sj-malon@hotmail.com with “Almost Aussie Girl” for contact details, no not a scam! NSW in Oz. Realise that you now live in Perth as most of my wife’s family do, so offer still stands!
Oh thank you so much for such a nice comment! Oz people are truly amazing ☺️
Hey mate, you can visit Uluru, just not climb the sacred rock. The Local Aboriginal Land Council there are putting together tours and things to do around Uluru where you can see the beauty in a respectful way. From a Wiradjuri woman ❤🇦🇺
Thank you for your kind comments about my country. Everyone is welcome here and that’s what makes Australia so strong.
Cultural diversity and the “fair go” attitude. 👍🇦🇺
Everyone is welcome in Australia ... unless you come from a poor country by boat. Then you will be put in prison indefinitely.
@@gulliverthegullible6667 And so it should be! No one should push in line!
@@rayray-xs6xu there is no queue, mate. There is no waiting in line. When you get persecuted, you have to flee and go somewhere where you can live.
Australia as one of the richest countries in the world is also one of the cruelest when it comes to the treatment of refugees. No other country has indefinite detention.
Australia is certainly not a welcoming country.
Even if you come from a privileged country and you want to get eg a partner visa, you have to pay thousands of dollars and will have a very hard time with the immigration authorities.
@@gulliverthegullible6667 exactly. so stop paying people smugglers to jump the queue.
@@gulliverthegullible6667 we should charge you and your ilk double again.
Wonderful! Thank you. So glad you are happy here 🦋
Good on you almost Aussie girl 🇦🇺 great video 👍welcome to down Under & happy days. I'm subscribing & looking forward to more 🍻 cheers from the Clarence valley northern NSW
Take a trip to Tasmania....its Australias hidden gem.
They are a bit slow down there, but nice. Hahaha
Tasmania. Been there twice. Love it. Launceston, to Hobart. Visit Port Arthur.
@@sidcolwell7479
I liked Port Arthur but I liked Bruny Island more...Strahan is also magnificent. I couldnt believe it had such beautiful beaches basically everywhere.
shhh don't tell them, they come come
Queenslander here, I love Tassie, fantastic place. Cheers.
I really enjoyed your views on Australia. Hope you got a chance to visit Melbourne as well. Glad you love our beautiful country.
What a beaut of a young lady. Glad to have you.
I wish we had more people like you coming to this country. Have a wonderful life here.
Thank you from all of us here in Australia
The best thing about Australia is that it's not the country that you come from , just joking , we are blessed here in gods country , I have been lucky enough to have travelled overseas on 31 different occasions and ican never wait to come home . The air is cleaner , the sky is bluer , the pace is slower and the the people are friendlier than anywhere else that I've been . Sure you can find good things in other countries but we have it all in one continent . Welcome to the lucky country I hope you like us enough to become a citizen
Thank you 🙏
Temperature does drop below 6 degrees in Sydney in mid winter. Mainly out west. Add wind chill factor and a new visitor to Sydney will find it very cold.
I will be that annoying guy :-P and say that technically a part of the greater Sydney metro (Blue mountains) has a similar climate to Seattle with one or two snowfalls each year. Thanks for this great video I enjoyed it.
Welcome to Oz
I hope you continue to love your time here.
Thanks for video great 4 reasons I totally agree. I´m also from Eastern Europe and moved 6 years to Australia...and... yes best decision ever.
You mentioned beaches, here's a fun fact: Australia has almost 12,000 beaches along it's 60,000-kilometre (37,282-mile) coastline. If you visited one beach per day, it would take you more than 32 years to see them all.
I hope you have plenty of time to do that mate.
Without a doubt one of the things that made this such a pretty good country is people such as yourself; who have come from other places; many with their own challenges and have come to live in tolerance and relative freedom.
Oh yeah...and the weathers is okay too!
Some of the wildlife sucks, but by and large, "she'll be right"
Fantastic view, enjoy our country. Good on you love !
I really love your accent. I am glad you are loving australia. So many beautiful and uniques things to experience.
Good onya luv, is ya Mum single? Hahaha. Joking, great vid, glad you chose our lucky country and I think we are better for you being here. Cheers!
We love you being here.
Climate: we do get 4 seasons in one day some times. But never -20 like where you originally came from. I remember a day it was 46 Celsius and then dropped to nice 26, then down to 15 then back up to 24, all in 24 hours. Winter in Western Sydney goes down to 0 at night, whereas the closer you get to Sydney CBD it stays quite mild at around 16, although the rain can cut you like a knife there.
As an Aussie you make me wanna visit the Ukraine to meet more people like you
Welcome
Glad you are here and that you Love it 🇦🇺
Glad to have you here
I'm glad you love Australia. You are Aussie now. Cheers from Sydney ✌😎
Crying kids drive me crazy but as an Australian, I would never say anything so it's more about being polite and tolerant.
so...crying kids in other countries are better then?
You are another reason why Australia is so awesome. We have people from so many parts of the world. The percentage of people who are first or second generation Australialian is really high so generally speaking all people are accepted. (There are some racist people unfortunately but usually they are in the minority enough to keep their prejudices to themselves). One benefit of multiculturalism is that we have great food from so many different places. Sooo many kinds of restaurants. And coffee snobs generally put the quality of Australian coffee at the top level.
Your reasons match up with mine perfectly. I'd also add that people in Australia just seem healthier compared to Americans here in Northern New England. And it makes sense given the climate here vs there, and the American workaholic culture. I spent a month between December and January traveling from Sydney to Perth and hiked the Perth hills all day in 40C. Found it absolute paradise. Sadly despite my software engineering degree, and that I could get 5 extra points for passing a Bulgarian translator exam, due to my age I still can't quite get enough points for a skilled visa. You don't happen to know any Australian girls who want US citizenship?
Nice video - glad you are enjoying Australia
On the Gold Coast, winter is the worst three days of the year.
Luckily, they aren't all in a row, so that's good.
G'day AAG,
I am here after watching a Reaction to your video by IWrocker,
You mentioned you get so excited every time you see kangaroos or other Aussie Natives, Me too & I have lived here all my life 🦘🐨🦎🐊🐢🐍🦇, you mentioned being in N.S.W. for an Awesome Aussie Animal Encounter I would recommend a trip to Australian Reptile Park at Somersby near Gosford on the Central Coast, They have Awesome Talks & Interactions with the residents.
'Australian Reptile Park' also have a UA-cam Channel & Facebook page.
I wish you the best for a Wonderful Future here in Australia
The NT is an area I would love to check out...Darwin is a pretty hot and humid locale but I like that kind of climate. From a 65 year old American looking to retire somewhere else. ;o)
@Rick Farrugia Hi Rick. Expensive in Darwin? I would think it would be less expensive than the east coast of Australia. I've checked real estate prices in Darwin and they don't seem to be too outrageous. I like the outdoors and hiking and should plan a trip to Kakadu...It is on my bucket list.
Just to let you know. We are really glad you're here.❤😊
I'm a new subscriber 18 Feb 2022 - I enjoy your soft calm voice and your content
Thank you and welcome!
With regards to the weather, most places have 2-4weeks of unbearably cold, that is down to single digits, and 2-4 weeks of unbearably hot, over 30degC. The rest of the time is 15-25degC for those 7 months.
Onya love.
Great video - and thanks for not talking about snakes and spiders, since most of us live in cities and don't see them much 😅
Ahaha)) No, I don’t see them often as well, but giant cockroaches is something people never mention about Australia 🪳 And for me they are scarier than snakes 😅
"much" How much is what frightens the 'blow in's' 🇦🇺👍😀
Freaked out my Kiwi brother in law when he was here by asking him to get rid of the Spider in the bedroom. He went in there bravely and returned white and shaken. It was a Huntsman.
@@elowishusmirkatroid4898 😆😅😂🤣😭 big and scary... and totally harmless
@@almost_aussie_girl Well, a cockroach is just a bit creepy but they can't put you in hospital. LOL
Awesome video and welcome. Not sure of your travels so far. But if family is on your mind, look at the Sunshine coast, QLD.
You have Australian attitudes and lifestyle in a nutshell! I think you are already Australian. We Australians judge Australianism on how well you "get" us. Welcome home!! :-)))
My family came to Australia. Most recently as refugees from the Ukraine. Welcome sister
Hi I enjoyed your video... Thank you for your time
Your English is much better than my Ukrainian. Welcome to Australia!
Good to see you are “turning Aussie”..... Welcome to Oz..... Good to see you here. Apologies as I have no Ukranian or Russian language. Tschuess aus Australien.
Glad you’re enjoying living here. Good choice. Enjoy. 👍
Just be honest, few Covid restrictions, we can go to pubs and shows
Your welcome at this joint "Australia" anytime sweetheart!!! 👍😘
Good on ya Aussie girl!
You are an asset to Australia 👍
When it comes to the wildlife, for anyone scared of the dangerous things, most of them you don't encounter if you are in the cities or suburbs. I am Aussie-born and over 40, and in my life I have only ever encountered a wild snake once, and dangerous spiders two or three times (I am sure of two redbacks, less sure about the danger of another), and been bitten only by a huntsman (not dangerous). I will qualify, I am very much a city dweller, so people who are in more rural regions may encounter more.
All you need to do is be wary in long grass, dank areas that draw spiders, and in jellyfish season at the beaches. That is the basic life skills of most Aussies, and we get by just fine.
As an aside about seeing wildlife? Even in suburbia, it's possible to see plenty of wild birds around. If you go visit farming areas you're likely to see wild kangaroos (like Bonalbo!), and anywhere there's some trees could have koalas, though they can be a bit hard to see in tall trees.
I live in southern nsw.. where it's somewhere between bloody freezing and fkn hot lol.
Love this, we do love a positive review. ; )
No worries
I have heard that it would take 38 years to visit every beach in Australia 🇦🇺 😍 😊 By the way, most Australians don't consider it a beach, unless it has sand.😊
Wonderful video.
Alot of born and bred Aussies should see this
When we Aussies say “ No Worries”, ..... worry.👍🇦🇺🤪😁☮️
For context, you have only been here for 6 years. I'm an immigrant too, and have lived here for over 50 years.
1. Weather and Climate - We USED to have four seasons but not for the last 20 years or so due to climate change. The weather patterns are not the same as they used to be.
2. Aussies - Yes, we're a pretty laid back lot, but we still have societal problems like everybody else - poverty, racism, un and underemployment, homelessness, disparity of wealth, I could go on.
3. Raising an family - Most families have 2-3 kids. It's not a safe country to raise a lot of kids, particularly if your from another culture. We can have the propensity for racism and moreso if you rely on government for financial support - it's a hard life and a very expensive country to live in.
4. Wildlife and nature - Yes, please enjoy our beautiful and unique wildlife and landscapes, because with the propped up booming mining, logging, construction and developments coming to our shores from foreign entities, with backing from our government, they won't be here for long.
You seem like a lovely young woman, who is enjoying your youth, travelling and seeing the world, but I'm sorry, I just can't totally agree with your perceptions, and am a tad concerned your not painting the realities of actually living here and possibly giving false hopes and dreams to those who wish to emigrate or even travel here.
P.S. People on visas and international students were not provided with ANY financial assistance from the government when covid came to town. Our PM told them to go home. Thousands of them suffered and still do.
Just a realistic snapshot. I hope you enjoy your time here. :)
Wheather?
(Even people whose first language is English get mixed up with "weather" and "whether", so just mushing the two together is one way to handle it, I suppose).
@Rick Farrugia Me? No. Just a pedant :-)
Australia has the highest minimum wage in the world.People without a college degree in America work on very low wages sometimes 2or three jobs.
I'm so interested to move to Australia, but I have a lack of knowledge about the immigration regulations! Any device would be deeply appreciated 👍
Start with this website
immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-finder
Thank you for your excellent video.
4 reasons to move Australia
1.) You get to ride kangaroos to work
2.) In avoiding dangerous animals (like drop bears) everyday you know you are alive!
3) Crows love to chat so its easy to make friends ...as long as you have food.
4.) The silly sense of humour & slang, even the kookaburras are laughing. :P
Remember that Australia is made up of migrants, you are no less Australian for moving here than anyone else! :)
Also getting so close to Magpies, that they want to take a piece of you home
@@Philmrose just remember that Canberra was made like a maze to try to keep the politicians away from everyone else, always take water with you and never ever mess with a cassowary!
@@Philmrose Just feed them. They imprint. They'll never attack even if you go near their nest once they imprint.
