This mixed idiom composition has atonal, Arabic, Latin and orchestral phrases. It is based on two six-element Z-related pitch-class sets with interval-class vector [233241]: 6-Z25 = {0,1,3,5,6,8} and 6-Z47 = {0,1,2,4,7,9}. I use open, minimum chord tension and high tension level cluster voicings. Diatonic chords in 3rds are derived from these sets, and I use pitch-class overlap properties between two set forms (original and inverted). The piece has ternary form. The instrumentation includes an oud, world percussion, a horn section (AS,TS,2Tpt,2Tbn), rhythm section (piano, bass guitar, drum kit), strings, marimba and a set of synthesizers.
