    Option #4 and one I would consider before irrevocably painting my tank is to wrap it. It is cheaper indistinguishable from paint, and easily changed or reverted back to stock if you sell the bike. Multiple colors can be seamlessly accomplished although one like yours might be a little tricky without an overlay.

    Great video Tony. Very professionally produced. Great to have company info, rather than a just a tank reveal. May buy a spare tank for my T120 now and have them paint it. I want to keep the stock tank, as I still love the cranberry and silver. Plus I paid extra for it....Lol Keep up the good work. Wheels next.

    I like the colors and design, but hate the "Triumph". Personally, I'm always trying to remove branding from all of my items, (I always remove logos and branding from my cars and bikes). If Triumph wants me to advertise for them, they should be paying me a commission.

    Hey, stupid question, does the fuel line have some type of shutoff valve when you disconnect it? Can I remove the tank with like 1/4 tank in it or do I need to completely drain it?

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  2 роки тому +1

      Not a stupid question at all. The speed clip will shut the flow off when disconnected, but you will get some dribble so keep a little tub to hand or just prop the hose in an upward position.

    Great vid as usual Tony! I painted my street twin in flat grey (the one the new Smarts have, pretty close to the t120), and put Triumph emblems I bought for 35€, I also had the shop remove the street twin logo on the side covers, and paint the three light grey elements is the front, black... I had always wanted to do it before I bought it, so it was done within a week ;). I gave the parts to the shop, but I doubt they took the inner sensors out... it all cost me 350€ (not to take anything away from 8ball, I’m certain there superior job is worth every penny), whereas the dealer was asking 1100€ for the job

    Tony, I wonder... As I want to do a paint job of the tank on my Street Cup too, is that mandatory to remove the fuel pump and everything's inside ? I'm a bit afraid to have some fuel leaks from the rubber gasket after. I don't have such company in Belgium (8 ball customs), it's a shame because sending them my tank fuel by post could be a tricky job.
