Darth not sure if you have a guide on gear progression, what level to hone your gears before you should stop honing and get new set of equipment. I understand Weapon /Gloves/Shoulders/Helmet/Pants/Chest is also the order you want to prioritize.
As a former teacher I want to give you a BIG thumbs up for your style of teaching! So refreshing compared to many other guides that dont understand the pedagogical bit as good as you do. Superclear, no sidetracks, no unnessesary explanations and simple goals in mind. Also, you have a deep understanding where A LOT of players are on the learning curve right now. Big thanks!

You didn't mention what gear is worth Honing. Should I hone 302 gear? Is 302 gear the gear I'm supposed to hone in order to move on? Or will I get better gear soon so I should wait? Should I try and get gear with specific stats before I chose to hone it? What specific gear should I focus on first? Weapons? Necks? These are the questions new players, like myself, are wondering about.
You can’t get better gear until you hone your gear and increase ilvl. So keep upgrading your gear. It’s not wasted. You can gear exchange later as well

@@xouri8009 A lot of islands have merchants that you can exchange currency for Destruction, Guardian and Harmony Shards, you just have to know where they are, and also, merchant ships outside of city ports have them too.
1 thing I was hoping to know from the video and maybe I missed it was, -When is it worth using materials to increase your success chance? Should we just gamble til levels 17ish and onwards?

That gear you'll have it until ilvl 600 and you can start the next continent Yorn. But you start to hone that until +15 on each gear, thats how you actually get to ilvl 600. Eventually, when you get new gear, you can transfer all those +15 to that new gear easily on the same vendor that shows in this video. If you look at the middle bottom you'll see it says "Gear transfer" in the video while he's speaking with the vendor

Like I have a chest that’s a 93 rating, but my shoulders that are the highest quality are like 40. Should I wait to hone a gear that has a better quality that I get or don’t worry about it right now? Whatever equipment you hone at this moment, you can transfer it to a new gear you'll obtain, that way you dont lose the materials you've used... Basically every honing you do on equipment is transferable to the next one
Will I receive a specific set of gear to begin honing? Or do I need to piece a set together? I've just arrived at North Vern so i've got a little ways to go with the story.
chaos dungeon will get you all the pieces for a blue gear set. abyss dungeon will give you one piece of purple and enough mats for the rest of the set of purple gear/orange gear. you need to do both abyss dungeons on a particular page to get a full set. when you craft a purple set you only have one option. when you craft a orange set you have two. you might not get the right set piece for orange (it might be better for dps rather than support) but the piece you get can be dismantled into set piece material. you can freely start honing blue gear to +15 average (+15 average will let you reach item level of 600 which will allow you to start tier two chaos dungeon with tier two gear drops), and if you feel like it transfer your +rating into purple or orange gear through the gear honer. you should be trying to hone your gear as high as you can and take on abyss dungeons/guardian raids at a higher recommend level otherwise you might be too squishy.

@@SRTBOAT yeah, item level 302 blue gear is what you want to hone. also tier one gear will start having quality that's not 100 anymore so if you find higher quality gear later on to you can transfer your +rating into new gear. quality effects the bonus stats, which isn't really a big deal in tier 1 so you can ignore if you want.
Gear honing is such a troll system. My alts have stronghold bonuses but have to hone 4x per skillup for 14-15. This is just an egregiously bad waste of mats. People say this game respects your time, but it literally just destroys a majority of what you work for. EVERYHTHING taxes your gold, silver, or materials. The honing system is designed to where you always get bottlenecked and stuck at the end of a tier.

66-70%+ chance means 100%fail and 50%+ means 100% fail too. 9 tries 9 fails for me 100% deinstall.😉
How to hone gear correctly = PRAY FOR RNGESUS! nope there are no exact tips on how to hone just pray for its success, have a great day!
