I'm not Christian, but I have a couple Christian friends, and I am very glad they introduced me to this band. I know some people who've been attacked for their beliefs, and others who have been attacked because of what they don't believe in, and I'm extremely thankful that I've managed to find the sort of friends who accept people with other beliefs, and that I am able to do so myself. TFK has awesome music, and their lyrics are relatable for Christians and non-Christians alike. :)

So, I've been a TFK fan for well over a year now(found them through Osu when I decided to look up the word "Thousand" and found Courtesy Call) and Welcome to the Masquerade has been among my favorites since I discovered them(my favorite has to be Take It Out On Me or I See Red). Thus, when I found out my school was doing a masquerade at the end of the year, I immediately got to work on making the WttM album cover mask. I've never been to a school dance before and I only went so I had an excuse to make and wear that mask.
I interpret this song as saying...you're pretending to be something you're really not. Something I do a lot, because every time someone sees who I really am, I get hurt. It's better this way.
Blaze Life is about risks. Take none and you will have a boring fake life. Take a lot and you will fuck up your life. You have to find the medium. Taking off the mask would lead you to a happier life with people whom actually understand you and you'd find you like a lot better.
