Garrett's details: Size: 5'11 | 180cm Weight: 160lbs | 73kg Foot Size: 9.5 US | 43 EU
Great vid, but these specs are messed up. There isn’t a 158 9000S and I presume Garrett is on a 156 9000S? Also it looks like Jeremy is riding the Orion bindings.
@@TheDerekHyde Thanks for letting us know, we have corrected the sizing typos here 😅. In the video Jeremy is riding the Meteorite bindings in the RP Roberts colourway.
@@JonesSnowboardsVideos I've got a 154 on the way, so I was stoked to see Jeremy on it! My specs are similar: 172cm, 80kg, size 8 boot... not as much skill obviously, but I'm a bit heavier so it should be an easier ride.
How crazy would it be to be out on the hill and run into Jeremy Jones. That would definitely be an absolutely epic day having the opportunity to ride with the legend himself.
Awesome to see some free carving specific boards coming out from the big companies 👏 hopefully some wider options for big footed riders coming in the future.
The Freecarvers are both wider boards as standard in their design. You can head to the product pages in the video description to see the exact width measurements of each model and size.
Appreciate the deets on width angles weights etc. And great vid! would like to hear opinions of heavier riders. I'm 5'10" and 188lbs no fat. Strong core. Like to carve fast bomb and snake few turns but may want to tighten everything up on a 6000 if its pure camber no serrated no 3D, good at eating chatter (hey I'm there for the day) and great core materials for energy and longevity.
If you have questions about sizing feel free to send our Gear Guru team a question on our website. They will be able to give you all the help you need to find the perfect size for you.
Having been all my life (30+years of snowboarding) on alpine narrow rigid boards, I'd love once to try out one of these new concepts, they seem fun, agile, and still perfectly able to carve very well. Will they ever be available to try out in Europe?
Did you research cap construction for a carver? have always felt they outperform by have a more prominent edge to dig with, delays obviously the problem of the past.
So I'm seriously considering one of these boards, but don't have the money for both. I like both styles of carving, so would like to do both with 1 board. My question is: what would be easier. Making large turns with the 6000s or making smaller turns with the 9000s. I'm an experienced rider and my current board is the Flagship 2016. Thanks in advance! Edit: forgot to add --> length 189cm, weight 81kg, shoe size US11.5
Both boards are designed to excel at their style of carving, but if you can only choose one board the 6000 might be the one for you. Jeremy is riding the 6000 in this video to give you an idea of how it handles in all mountain conditions.

Is the stance width usually from centre of binding or inside to inside?
Is jj on meteorites with the mountain graphic on the high back ?

More ride alongs with Jones on other boards please?
These ride along reviews are great!
JJ is one dope dude.
jeremy please, can you make a video where you do 1k of turns with the 9k or 6k? just turns. The beauty of snowboarding: turns. thank you.
Good call, next year! Same run, different board.
Really appreciate this type of review! Thanks!

Great explanation of sidecut
This video is making it hard not to pull the trigger on this board. Appreciate the stats for the riders. Been trying to decide on 154 or 158.

Same here. 158 is definitely my Board in the 6000s. Can't wait for the 2025 models to drop.
I like both, meet me in the middle with a 7500?
These Ride Along videos are great! You might sell a few of these 😅

Hi! I'm 180cm, 78kg, 9,5 boot size, which size do you recommend me (Freecarver 6000)? 154 or 158? many thanks!!
The 158 would be good size for you!
Can we get a Freecarver 12000?
So when is the Freecarver 6000 TWIN coming? 154 Please!
After spending a week at Whistler Blackcomb I forgot what slopes look like that get sunlight…
How does the Freecarver differ from the Hovercraft?
More camber, longer running length, less nose.
Hey Jeremy, I've got a Tom Eberly Lightning Bolt Pipe board for you
Can you make a custom board for me I'm disabled and require my stance of 12 inches apart
What do you set your bindings?
posy posy stance?
It can help put you in a better position for carving. Try it next time you ride and see how you find it!
Jj s binding has the mountain logo on it. Meteorites ?
Those are our new bindings called the Orion, it has dual density high back, check them out on our site!
