Exactly. Frustrated with my current Google Pixel and hoping for a nice SE with USB-C soon so I can make the switch. I just want a phone that simply works
I'm currently using 2nd gen SE besides my Android phone, and it's still doing fine in 2024. The video on my YT profile is actually recorded with iPhone SE 2020 without any professional lights and external microphons. It's amazing to see what can be achieved with even a budget smartphone these days.
if iPhone mini series revived into iPhone SE that would be great, one lens in mini size iPhone is okay, but I'd rather see iPhone SE with dual lens eventhought it still uses IPS and mute switch
Same. I was devastated when my iPhone SE 1 fell into a pot of oil (LOL). I was not ready to give that thing up, I'm a small petite person with small hands. The current SE size really is the max I'd like to go in regards to size, honestly. Even if they made the screen full size like in the Mini series, I'd still be okay with it. But out of virtually all smartphones in existence today, the SE lineup is the last & only option of smaller devices!!!
I have my base IPhone 13 (starlite/128 GB/battery @ 82%..from April 2022), and it is an excellent phone..good cameras, battery life, fast..! It’s ALL that you need, as it is good for day use!
Removing the Button from the iPhone SE is a huge mistake. Many of the older members of my family love it for solely that reason. Some have had all 3 generations!
Big disappointment. So Apple will not be selling any iPhone with a 5.4 inch screen, this one should have been that. Mini size. Another great thing would have been touch-id on the power-button. No face-id.
it’s highly likely the SE4 will have 8GB of RAM like the 16 series. for that reason alone, it’d be worth the wait as iOS becomes more complex. if you can wait for the SE4, but cannot wait for the 17 Series, you’ll have still made a great choice.
The small size, home button, and Touch ID are the biggest selling points of the SE. These upgrades on the SE4 are actually a downgrade for people who just want a basic budget phone.
Would it be safe to preemptively get an iPhone 14 screen protector for this, i.e assuming the same screen size, faceID and speaker placement? I just went anti-glare and now will never go without lol, I'd like to install it right out of box so there's no risk of dust or microscratches
I’d highly doubt there will be an action button or OLED screen. If they include those, is almost nothing to differentiate the SE from flagship iphones.

For the average consumer SE 4 could potentially be a great grab. I have never heard about someone having a problem with these phones. The difference between SE and regular iPhones is quite noticeable but not too big. If you're a musician it's basically like comparing a Squier to a Fender or an Epiphone to a Gibson. Me? I would definitely prefer to just buy a great quality refurbished iPhone 13 or so. It's for the same price but at a premium quality. A very promising phone nevertheless.
Livid that they’re getting rid of the home button, that to me was the whole reason I got an SE over any other iPhone. Touch ID is just superior to Face ID and having a button is better than not having one
You won’t miss the home button. Just like the 3.5mm headphone jack, you will have forgotten about it very quickly. FaceID has quite a few options to make it work the way you want it to and adds additional security if your phone is stolen from your hands.
It is a shame they will get rid of the home button since that is a very differential thing against the others 😢….. I’ve been using home button since the iPhone 6 and onwards and thinking to swap to Face ID is not fun 😢 … thxs

I WANT a 15, but I only NEED the SE. Either way, I'll get an upgrade, and if I wind up getting the SE, I won't be paying extra for features that don't matter to me.
