Naked City!!!! Unbelievable live force. I take it you have some Painkiller. And from there you need some Last Exit - a quartet featuring Sonny Sharrock, Peter Brotzmann, Bill Laswell and Ronald Shannon Jackson. At the time of Naked City Zorn was heavily influenced by Napalm Death and, I think, Boredoms.
I used to jam the Naked City album HARD when I was in high school back in the 90s. I also had Torture Garden and Leng Tch’e. Ever check out the Japanese bass guitar/drums Prog/metal/experimental group Ruins? They had an album on Zorn’s label, and I think they had some connection to 70s French prog weirdos Magma, I think they used the fake language that Magma created. Anyway, great stuff
@@78deathface yeah, Ruins were great. The might even still be going as a solo project. Most of the Tzadik output is at least worth hearing and some of it is amazing.
I'm liking these vinyl collection videos and I'm liking how Ne Obliviscaris is in this video. Portal of I and Citadel are great progressive extreme metal albums.
Naked city and painkiller are masterpieces of grind, if you have yet to listen to their live album that was released in 2002. Also yeah, probably the grind sound was intended, Mick Harris did play in painkiller
This is the one i was waiting the most because i wanted to know if you were into Nagelfar from germany, anyway always love listening you talk about records and discovering new music
My Dying Bride is a great band to check out if you are looking for some great violin in metal. You can also find some great violin work in early prog, the band Kansas being the main one in the 70's to use violin.
I was a friend of Dominus A.S. from Naked Whipper until he went to jail for 14 years for killing a woman. He is out since 2020 and is currently working on new material. Yes! Naked Whipper is back and they are playing in December with Blasphemy and Blood and a lot of other bands in Berlin.
Should we categorize albums as technical black metal? Some avant-garde black metal bands like nedxxx, dso, aosoth and mid 2000s abigor are really technical in a similar way, but not in a techdeath way.
Unfortunately Nađra only has 2 releases worth checking, their debut and a 2 track EP, and so far there's no way of knowing when they'll release a new record, on a 2019 AMA the dude from Misþyrming who plays guitars on Nađra said they were still working on new music which means no record any time soon, for example another Icelandic band called Mannveira finished their debut album in like 2018 but it came out this year.
I recently picked up all their stuff; looking forward to digging into it when I get back from holiday. Been a fan of Sunset Missions for its brooding atmosphere for so long, now I’ve finally decided to get the rest of them.
@@wyattxhim Yeah, now that you mention it, I've probably heard you mention Akitsa like 10 times. Derp moment. Thanks for answering though, have a good night dude.
Stained Glass Revelations is a Gigastacy when it comes to showcasing beauty that only far and few albums can achieve. RIP Timo Ketola.
I thoroughly enjoyed the more essay type feel of the Seeds of Iblis video 👍🏻
I randomly got 2 necropole lps for a steal on ebay and I'm glad someone else enjoys them, really solid French black metal
I feel like if Naked Whipper was memed to death, they would be up there with the big names but sadly they aren't.

That Mystik album is excellent. Glad I was able to grab a copy while it was still available.
Women will do that! Nice collection and video man!

The photo on Moloch Acid Orgy is just your standard high-quality European techno nightclub.

great collection
Duuude if you like icelandic black metal you should ABSOLUTELY discover carpe noctem!
fun fact: one of the main guys from the icelandic scene his name is Gongalez! haha if you get my point
Nahtrunar is allegedly from Austria and Mysterium Tremendum is his third full length. Perfect record imo
damn, that naked city vinyl...
I see Necromantia tied with Moonspell to be the advocate in making the nineties subgenre that was gothic black.

Holy crap what ?!
Where can I confirm this ??
Check out their label Iron Bonehead Productions.
@@davezwieback4208 I’ve known for awhile they’ve reformed
I’m talking about how you can prove he murdered someone
I can‘t prove it. When it happened it was in our local news. It is what it is, believe it or not.
I just read an Interview with Dominus A.S. In the second issue of New Era Magazine from the Netherlands. He confirmed the killing in this Interview.

Random thought, but was curious on your opinions on the Passieme record Eminence
Literally been thinking this too. Surprised he hasn't said anything about it given it's just a more brutal Sühnopfer
God lord thanks for telling me about this
I’ve been out of the loop the past couple of weeks with BM releases and this was a very pleasant surprise

Awesome as always
I adore Necromantia, but I dunno if they beat out the early Rotting Christ or Varathron.. that’s a tough one.
90's Hellenic Black metal is pretty much unfuckable, and those 3 are the pioneers of the scene.
For me Crossing the fiery path is peak 90's hellenic metal
For me Septicflesh with that underrated debut of theirs, rules over them all.
Harsh Black Punk AKA Primitive AF Black Metal
Wasn't ready for shots firing at exes damn. Got any views on Bohren And Der Club Of Gore?

Nice
It's Swedish not Swiss
Since you're into the French, have you checked out the Tour de Garde label?
I own a shirt of there’s and I obsess over Akitsa so Yes 😎
