    maxfunscooter....
    The most complete package on the market at this price point right now, in my opinion. Smooth ride with plenty of power, range, and most importantly fun. This scooter is very competitive with the everything else in this weight class and price point. The best tires are like a cheat code that really makes this scooter ride beautifully. I wish all brands used PMT tires stock like this Maxfun.

    I have this scooter in red and I absolutely love it. It's so fast and fun. Great range too! It's also the first scooter I've ever owned. Only had e-bikes before this one. I would love to have that firmware for the display fix. Thank you for the brake tip I was thinking something was wrong with mine. Glad to see that's normal.

      Glad you are enjoying it too! It's a great first scooter because the tires really are superior and will keep you from slipping where most stock tires would.
      As for the firmware update, I'm sure if you reach out to Maxfun they can send you the wire and new firmware files so you could update your unit. Only took a few minutes on a PC

    I live in a very hilly area it climbs hills with ease and I haven't yet had any overheating issue and I weight around 220 lbs. I get around 41 - 42 on the flats. I have seen it do 49 going down a steep hill. Gets a little scary at those speeds.

      Thank you! If you look on amazon for any 31.8 mm handlebar, it's a standard size. For width I recommend anything 740-800 mm is very good.
      These are the carbon fiber ones I use on most of my scooters:

    Additionally, are these split-rim type motor hubs? Asking cause i wanted know how easy tire swapping is in case I wanted to do some off road(ing) rides.

    Then the kaabo but then on to Mantis GT
    Also Teverun some models
    Arvarla 10...
    At 2023 they realise these controllers with 35-37a

    Nice review i have a really old fast scooter from almost 10 years ago that would go up to 40mph but on that scooter i experienced alot flats...with these newer scooters is that a constent issue? Or is that a normal thing for fast scooters because of how small the tires are.

    • @ScootaGang
      @ScootaGang  3 місяці тому +1

      We get about 1 flat per year, riding 5000+ miles or so. I don't think it's an issue as long as you monitor your PSI and keep them at the correct amount for your weight.

    Wow
    Glad I stopped by and saw this review. Of course, I clicked that thumbs up which I rarely do. So much great information.
    Ok, here's what's up.
    I'd be a “new rider” as far as e-scooters go, although I do own and rider a couple e-bikes.
    I'm an older, heavier guy, around 6'-6'1”. Of course, something that can handle my weight is at the top of the list. Then a relatively comfortable ride. I'd like to be able to put it in the car, although I doubt it would happen much. Speed is NOT as important, but would like it to do 25 minimum, and doubt I'd be doing 35-40 often if at all. Nice to have extra power if needed, though.
    So I've got a spreadsheet going, and discovered the MaxFun 10 Pro somehow, thus in researching discovered your channel and this review.
    I feel most of my use would be to run short errands of a 2-4 miles one way and looking to possibly get a e-scooter. So after I park the car in the garage with my e-bikes behind them, I have something easy to get at for these purposes. Of course, that's what many new e-scooter owners said before riding them and "catching the bug".
    The budget I was looking at was say $1200-2000, of course this could vary. I started out with a $1000-1500 range and a scooter that has been near/at the top of my list is the EMOVE Cruiser S at about $1400.
    After watching this excellent information filled video, I thought you might be a great person to get an opinion from.
    Thanks in advance.

    • @ScootaGang
      @ScootaGang  5 місяців тому +1

      Hey thanks for stopping by! Only thing you didn't mention is your weight. If you are about 200 lbs or over I would def recommend something dual motor like this over the Emove. If you are light weight, it won't be affected so much up hills as if you are heavier. Lighter people can get away with single motor scooters or if you live somewhere completely flat it won't matter too much. But if you are rolling it into the garage it's worth the extra 10 lbs of a second motor in almost all riding scenarios. If you plan to go in the street up any major hills, this will at least hold a 25-30 mph with traffic, while a single motor scooter will likely slow down cars behind you.

    • @NOWitsOKto
      @NOWitsOKto 5 місяців тому

      @@ScootaGang I'm a big old boy. 70 yr old (why speed isn't important) and 285-295 lb so why I'm looking at the scooters rated for 330 lbs. The EMOVE Cruiser S is rated for 352 lbs, (gets good reviews) and has a 1000 watt rear motor (not sure of the peak power).
      I will be almost exclusively be riding on paved streets and probably even more so on sidewalks probably at 15-20 mph, when on streets possibly 25-30ish.
      If you are familiar with e-bikes, two that I currently own are the Specialized Como 5.0 IGH and the Wired Freedom 2024 (the latter can do about 37-38 mph with my big azz on it).
      The Emove @ 1399 vs. the MaxFun 10 Pro @1899 (that's what I'm seeing), are 1 and 2 on my list at the moment, although I'm open to suggestions in the same price arena.
      It isn't extremely hilly here, but there are a few around, thus I like the dual motor idea, even though they Claim the Emove could handle them with me on it.
      Here's a thought that kind of came to mind after watching this video. Emove $1399 plus $170 for the good tires, suddenly narrows that price gap. And we still have other stuff on the MaxFun (like the 2nd motor) that make me think the MaxFun is the way to go if I had to decide between these two right now.
      That is where I value your opinion, MaxFun or something maybe I haven't even thought of (remember I'm basically starting my research, so I'm like a 2 yr old and don't know squat).
      Quite honestly, the MaxFun is probably overkill, but I don't want to buy junk and add to the land-fill.
      Oh, one more thing...No 3 on my list is the Varla Eagle One V2.0 @ $1560 sports dual 1000 watt motor with 2 x 25 amp since controllers, 52 v 20.8 Ah battery at 82 lbs.
      Hope this helps.

    There has to be a reason for limiting the speed. They've clearly found the limit in whats considered safe and reliable. I still prefer to keep my burn e and get my son the klima max. I wish this had 11-inch tyres, though...id uss it myself 😂

    • @ScootaGang
      @ScootaGang  5 місяців тому +2

    • @BoozySZN
      @BoozySZN 5 місяців тому +1

      @ScootaGang 10inch tyres on that max fun 10 max, new one coming out...not sure why they're not opting for 11inch. I'd hate to go 40mph on 10 inches, let alone 50. Will soon see how it is as a scooter once they release it.
      I'm surprised with the lack of exposure and reviews on these products. Rider guide, freshly charged, haven't even been asked to review, which is odd as they would bring more eyes to it. Several friends of mine never even heard of them up until late
