- A 10-year-old girl is recovering after surviving a deadly shooting that claimed the lives of her parents and her little sister. Police in Houston say a man knocked on the family’s door and when he was let in, he fatally shot Donyavia Lagway, Gregory Carhee and their 6-year-old daughter Harmony. The 10-year-old girl was also shot in the arm, but she ‘played dead’ until he left, according to her relatives. That’s when they say she called for help. Here's my take on this nightmare: a ten-year-old outsmarted a 28-year-old & that saved this smart little angel's life. I hope she still has some loving, supportive family there for her. Get her the best teachers in school, help her attend a great college! Many blessings to all touched by this.

The gunman doesn't have remorse for killing little kids may be rot in prison. What a tragedy that this 10 year old girl lost her parents and her little sister it's nice to know her little brother is safe. It's sad she had to play dead to survive at only 10 years old from this evil killer.

He tried to kill both little girls, but left the baby? Sounds to me like he was trying to kill anyone who may be able to describe him or say who he was. Especially if the family willingly let him in- in that case, they may very well have known him by name.

She was probably flooded with adrenaline, and likely didn't feel the pain much at the moment, but yeah, for a ten-year-old to have that kind of control, in that state of shock... She basically saved herself.
