    Thanks for mentioning Nut-Width of the Ukuleles! Appreciate that very much.
    I do like the narrower nut width, it's much more comfortable (for me) in Tenors.
    Love your videos, and your new T shirt!!!
    The Rebel is gorgeous!

    Hi Alex - I must tell you that this it is probably the best comparison/specs/demo video I have seen on YT.
    And I’ve seen A LOT of them.
    Really excellent excellent job sir.
    I wasn’t looking for a ukelele tonight.
    Never even crossed my mind.
    But after stumbling upon and watching a couple of kind of amateur (by comparison) clips, I landed on this video here.
    I know it’s not a current clip.
    But I just thoroughly enjoyed your presentation.
    And learned enough to believe that I want a ukelele now!.
    What a shocker.
    Of the ten you showed here, the ones that sounded really good to me and were probably something that I would go for sight unseen, were the Eastman, the Martin and the Pono with the slotted headstock.
    I am in the states and am guessing that it wouldn’t make a lot of sense to buy from your shop in the UK and have it shipped across the Atlantic.
    I’ve found a bunch of the Martin models here online.
    And I found something similar to that Pono. Cannot find that exact model number.
    It’s history.
    And I found that Eastman model as well.
    Those floated my boat the most, sound-wise and price-wise.
    Again, super SUPER effective clip man.Very knowledgeable, Very pleasant, very well spoken. And obviously just an easy going and nice person Alex.
    They must be glad to have you there.
    And I’m sure you bring in lots of ukelele customers around to the shop.
    Sounds kind of funny doesn’t it?
    But we’re out here.
    Best Regards
    Richard

      What a lovely comment on a miserable Monday to read. Thank you very much.
      For your reference we do ship to the US. Shipping is £59.50 but about 60% of the time we do end up being cheaper than US retailers on certain brands and models... If you ever see something we are selling and have questions I urge you to get in touch.

    I don't know what it is about pono. I'd take it over the kanilea any day. Such a nice tone.

    Where can I find reviews for Acoustic-Electric Tenor Ukuleles? Thanks!

    • @SouthernUkuleleStore
      @SouthernUkuleleStore  4 роки тому

      We are unlikely to feature Electro Acoustics as the in-built pickups do not really differ in quality out of the factory and are as good as the thing you plug them into. When you move up the price ladder you will find that fitting a pickup is the common way to proceed with which we can assist once you have chosen a Ukulele.
      if you have more specific needs and we can help then by all means please do email me at alex@ukulele.co.uk

    Came here to scout the Kai, but that Eastman sounded so *beautiful* to me. I caught myself smiling at the end of the demo just when you mentioned it about yourself on-screen. The Rebel and Kanilea are definitely lookers.

      Peeped the Eastman, Rebel, and Kanilea price tags. Yeowch. Kai it is for me, then. 💔

      No need for that, my guy! Just me being melodramatic 😛 It’s a pleasure listening to all of these ukus either way. Thanks for making these videos.

    Could you review this one if possible: Ka-Cara-Bur-T
    It seems to be a new edition to the Kala ukulele family

    hi I notice you are left handed, as I am, I would like to know if you restring your Ukulele?

    • @SouthernUkuleleStore
      @SouthernUkuleleStore  4 роки тому

      Yes I restring my own Ukuleles but I play the right handed instruments in the video upside down.

      @@SouthernUkuleleStore thank you for sharing, I have always played with out restringing. Do you think it would be better to restring and relearn the chord shapes?

    • @SouthernUkuleleStore
      @SouthernUkuleleStore  4 роки тому

      I wouldn't learn upside down. I play this way in the videos because I have too... It's definitely better to restring and learn the correct way.
