This song and Grandaddy's Gun I believe are the only two that he has not written himself that got put on an album of his. I'm pretty sure Aaron has earned the right to sing and record any song he wants. Two out of the 100s of songs he's written recorded don't mean he's getting Way from himself man.
yea but selling out to someone else's creation is not right. i understand it would be a honor for him to sing one of mine, but like the songs he sings that he didn't write, you can definitely tell he didn't have that experience or feeling.. it is a great revenue opportunity for Chris Stapelton if he sells volume of records and i am glad for him. its just artists these days are not creating for themselves and that makes them just another production sell out. Plus he is from boston. he should try not to be something he isnt. if he was for his freedom and a country boy, well he should try to change that city from being like the rest of them on the east coast and historic for the great things they did in 1776. they are the most non freedom states now, and the rest follows in the footsteps. ive drove every 13 colony state. freedoms shouldnt be charged a fee or taken for the saving of one life, but freedom was shown and known there, and know they just do not care until it affects them completely, and the power of the people is taken like it already has,and most wont speak up till it is to late.
