  • The 2nd of our trips to Yellowstone National Park & Grand Teton National Park, we pick up a few stops from the first movie, as well as a few that are off the beaten path, and less well known. This area is like none other so if at all possible, plan a two week vacation, if at all possible. Otherwise, you will want to return. We have spent 2 trips of two weeks each for a total of 4 weeks and still want to return to see things new, things we have seen before, and of course...shop! Enjoy the movie and a sincere thanks, from Old Moose Anderson. Thankfully that's Moose with an M, not Goose with a G. Here's to bucket lists, Dads, and Spirit Animals!
On this trip you will see Beehive Geyser, Lion Geyser, Old Faithful Overlook, Old Faithful Geyser, Crow’s Nest tour of Old Faithful Inn, Dunraven Pass, Tower Fall, Fort Yellowstone, Norris Geyser Basin, Porcelain Basin, Lamar valley, Beartooth Highway, Rustic Falls, Lower Falls in Canyon of the Yellowstone from Artist Point, West Thumb Geyser Basin, osprey, bison & bear in Yellowstone National Park. In Grand Teton National Park, we see Gros Ventre valley, Teton Village, Rendezvous Mountain, Snow King, trams, Snake River Overlook, Schwabacher Landing, Oxbow Bend, Signal Mountain, Jackson & Jackson Hole, Wort Hotel, National Elk Refuge, several moose, a bear, and of course, shopping.

There's lots of shopping in Jackson. Last summer was very usual for Wyoming to get so much rain. Great advice booking ahead for a vacation through Wyoming. I'm a local. Love my state. For the people who like seeing wildlife best time in evening's. During the day, most wildlife likes to lay down out of the heat of the day. Go Big Red! The tram is awesome winter or summer.

You are SOOO lucky to live there with all the mountains. Oklahoma is such a long haul to get there. I could have used that tip about evenings & willows years ago. I almost never figured it out. Though I would never see a moose! I’m convinced, in Jackson Hole, the best way is to patrol the Gros Venter River in the evenings, and watch for one, or a group of people pointing and taking pictures. All that rain was crazy! It’s usually, pretty much, bone dry in August. I rained at least part of the days, for 5 out of the two weeks we were there. I REALLY need to move closer. 2 hours away beats 2 days away! 🤣 Thanks for taking the time to drop a few kind words and I can’t wait to bring you guys some more of my hard earned cash! 😆 Moose Anderson

SUPER nice guy and we stayed for 7 nights. You wouldn’t believe the amount of stuff he hauled up to our room for us. He earned every bit of what I tipped him, and then some. They really do bust their tails! Always smiles on their faces. Of course, the are working a job in paradise! 🥰

You're not kidding about booking a year out, we're going in June and most affordable rooms are sold out.

    • @MooseAndersonProductions
      @MooseAndersonProductions  7 місяців тому

It’s absolutely unimaginable! Affordable, even top shelf, all the various types of rooms get booked out. Campsites, everything. All that remains are bits & scraps. All one can do is book a piece of their vacation, then check multiple times a day for cancellations to fill in the gaps. I only got lucky and learned through research. If you book a year out, you can pretty much get exactly what you want, when you want, but you better be first in line. 😁 Thanks for watching my video, and the first one, will take you through all the main attractions. Safe travels in June! You will love it with all the babies & bears!

However, the repetitive music is very annoying and completely detracts from your amazing video.

I wish I didn’t have any to be truthful. It was too windy to use audio. I’m not sure what to do with long gaps of silence. Free to use music is horrible. I have been getting requests to narrate more, so I am going to try that on the next film. Unless you have an idea? Any tips will definitely be taken into consideration. Thanks for complimenting my movie, even if the music made you want to puke! 🤣😂🤣😂

Thank you for telling me about this video in your comment yesterday, Moose! I'm once again amazed at the beauty of your work, the time and effort you put into this. Thank you for making these amazing videos. You have gained a new subscriber. Your videos are next-level good quality, and I look forward to any more you may do in the future. Glad to see you and your wife were able to go back to Yellowstone this year! Our nation's 1st National Park is certainly unique in that you can't simply go once and that's it! It has a way of calling people back to it over and over, to venture into its wild raw otherworldly terrain. Once again, Merry Christmas, may God bless you and your family, and may you reach your 1k subscribers and your retirement very soon Lord-willing!

No lens! I handed down photography to my wife when I started shooting video. 😁 Our camera was older so not really great for video, and we still love stills for coffee table books & albums. I bought a small, Sony ax53 camcorder. It is very small, with built in stabilization so I don’t have to constantly jump in & out of the truck, with a tripod, or lug one around. It’s just an amazing little piece of equipment. I can’t say enough about it. Just a great little camcorder.

Hi Lynne! Gros Ventre road along the Gros Ventre River. In the past, I tried the stake out method, park at one spot and wait for hours. That covers one single spot, in a huge area, so sitting at a place like Blacktail Pond Overlook is akin to winning the lottery. Really the best method is driving, since the actual spot one shows up is so random. Moose love to eat vegetation along rivers and ponds. It’s still going to be random, with a lot of luck, but Gros Ventre seems to be the best bet. Better than Moose Wilson Road, where parking after you see one, can be near impossible. Gros Ventre Road is the road north of Jackson, that goes east from the traffic circle, and takes you out towards Mormon Row, Gros Ventre Campground, Kelley, Slide Lake, and the Shane Cabin. You may get lucky and see a group of cars parked with people pointing and photographing. You may be the only person on that section of road. Just keep your eyes peeled and remember it is luck, random, and you are in a high probability area. Gros Ventre is the best place, followed closely by Native Jewelry in Jackson! 🤣 🫎 Anderson

Look for thick willows. Moose love willows and water. If you want to see a lot of moose guaranteed, go to the Big Horn mountains on Highway 14. Always moose up there. One day last summer, I saw 18 moose from Highway 14.

    Hey Moose! 🫎
I once asked a ranger at the Old Faithful Visitor Center how they determined the height of each Old Faithful geyser eruption. She pointed out the window behind her. It was the exact same view you show at 6:49 into this video. That ranger pointed out that big tree on the right in that view and she proceeded to tell me the height of each branch coming from that tree. I guess someone with NPS measures those heights every so often. I really had no idea that’s how they did it!

If you are going to have a passion in life this is it. Beautiful nature! I think of all the people who spend their lives at Disney, either in a fake park or overpriced cruise ship. I have never in my wildest dreams understood this. When the true beauty of our country is outdoors.
Not in a manufactured park or floating amusement park.
Enjoy every second in the great outdoors and teaching your children what is of true value!

I couldn’t agree more! I love the great outdoors. Had to make this 2nd movie as there is just too much in this region to cover in one visit. My wife still mentions places like Las Vegas & New York which makes me cringe. So far, she is not really complaining. I think she is starting to have her world opened up to her. She was a beach person, but now I hooked her with the mountains that I grew up with in the West. I want to see God’s Creations, not man’s creations. I don’t think we have the same skill set as Him!!! 😂 Yes, I am Mr Crow! As I stood there filming, the thought went through my head. What else could it be. 24 years of marriage and I could totally relate. I never understood why as a man. We are angels and never wrong…yet here I often sit, having my ear crowed into…or Ravened? 🤣😂🤣😂 Thanks for appreciating the sarcasm, and my movie Sushi! I’ve got some good trips and movies coming.
