Every car manufacturer does crash tests before releasing their car. As a result, it turns out that not all cars are safe. We don't even realize that there are many cars among us that have a very poor safety rating.

The 0 stars score of Punto was only for the first generation. The second one got 4 stars, and the third one (the one you showed) got 5 stars. The second, and the newest gen of punto are way safer than an Tata Nano.
Same thing applies to the Fiat Panda. First gen (introduced in 1990) was unsafe, next one (2007) got 3 stars.
Lots of images don't relate to the gen that got the score, this vid is a mess

I drive a Nissan Frontier of that generation, which is the same thing. I used to drive an early Ford Explorer, which was known for rolling over, but I never had any close calls with mine. I actually came closer to crashing the Nissan one morning when I almost spun out accelerating away from an on-ramp. It's RWD and light at the back and I must have hit some fluid.

If a tata nano is a 0 star, look at the Nissan Sentra B13/Tsuru or Chery Cowin/Amulet, these cars were sold in Latin America until December 2013, after the 01/01/2014 all new cars need to have 2 airbags and ABS as a minimum requirement to be sold here.

It's strange to see that side airbag cars are scoring 3 stars but our Tata Nexon,Punch,Altroz,Xuv700 and ScorpionN scored 5 stars with front airbags only.
Simple, it’s because other cars are scoring with more tough rules and regulations and cars in India with much less rules and regulations. Send Indian cars to euro ncap they will come back with 1-2 stars
The thing is that it is not about the rules or regulations and stuff like that.Because even in our country cars with side airbags are scoring 1-3 stars.The reason that some small and cheap cars are scoring 4-5 stars is because of their build quality.Also sometimes car manufacturers from different countries like to add,remove or make the car more strong or weak when they are selling their products in other countries.That's the reason why that some cars which are from different countries are scoring 0-1 stars here but in other countries they are scoring 3-4 stars. That's also why the car manufacturers which are from India are making safer cars.
Don't listen to some dumb people telling tough rules as a reason but the real thing is structural rigidity and chassis which acts as shock absorber. Most of maruti, hyundai and kia cars lacks this in India and tata, mahindra and vw/skoda cars are good in this

1. Chevrolet Matiz - i think it's Daewoo Matiz i have seen that car
2. Vauxhall Astra- Opel Astra i have seen that too

That isn't a decisive factor to have less stars on a crash test, the Kona had 5 stars because of his structure and airbags, who mantained well.
