I was born in Russia and live here as well, I have three friends who are gay. They are not publicly showing it but they also don't make a secret of it. It is not forbidden to be a gay in Russia, there are even gay clubs here. Only gay parades or other type of propaganda is forbidden by law because most of russian population don't want their children to consider this as an ordinary and normal thing to be a gay or a lesbian. This is why our politicians can't make it legal, they would simply face a huge protest from parents. I live in Moscow, it is a big modern city with a lot of foreigners and maybe this is the reason why I never heard any intolerant stuff about gays, even those who don't like them (mostly old people born in USSR) respect someone's choice to be homosexual. I was shocked watching this video! Absolutely shameful and disgusting that we have such idiots! and this is illegal in Russia to beat anyone!
