Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught
(dupes clause)
All Pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore rules:
Battle mode is set
No items in battle
(held items ok)
No overleveling
(level determined by next gym or elite four)

Honestly this is your preference and up to you but I personally think some legendaries are cool, since no other youtubers use legendaries I think stuff like the dogs/birds/lake trio/swords of justice just that random trio of pokemon I think if you can guarentee it as an encounter it should be fine to use imo

But yes, we do love the nuzlockes! Please keep it up. And maybe try one solo with Snorlax! I used it with return and belly drum (went to the islands to learn). I don't know if it is possible, but Snorlax is a beast with return and belly drum
