Same here. Married for 40 years, my husband died in 2020, a week before our anniversary. He was 17 years older than me, and the love of my life. I’m just biding time now until God allows me to join him.
My ex girlfriend used to buy non alcohol wine and champagne for me at the holidays because I'm bahai and achohl is forbidden. We also pray 5 times a day and fast for 19 days . No food, no water after sunrise.
I love watching these kinds of videos. It is good that people learn about each other and not believe the stereo type. Most likely we get the wrong idea about each other. I am a Christian and know there are wonderful Jews and Muslims out there and hope they see Christians the same way. Love to all my Jewish and Muslim friends out there. Most Jews in America are Reform or Conservative. After that, the most common are Orthodox. Hasidim are super Orthodox and very insular as a community. Your comparison to the Amish is very on point, though they don't reject technology and most of what we would consider the modern world. I believe that all of the married women are wearing wigs, to cover their own hair. My family is Irish Catholic, but when my father was growing up in Brooklyn in the 1920s-30s, the neighbors across the street were Orthodox, and my father's family would turn the lights and the oven on and off for them and heat up the leftover food on Saturday in their oven.
I never know quite what to make of that, having others do what you believe is wrong to do. It kind of seems like cheating, ie when you won’t drive a vehicle but will ride in one. I’m not being judgmental, I’m not those people and can’t think how they think, it just confuses me. I heard a saying before, a Jewish man supposedly said-someone famous but can’t remember who-along the lines of, a Jewish man doesn’t eat pork but if he ever does break that rule, he should eat the ham or bacon or whatever until the fat runs down his chin:) I do get that one-if you’re going to break the rule, you may as well break it with gusto lol.
I'm told by some Muslims you can drink alcohol in moderation, just not get drunk. I was told only being drunk & praying is haram. But with 5 prayers a day, it could be hard to drink much at all. Jesus did drink wine, as did everyone at the time because water born illnesses would probably kill you otherwise.
@@philmakris8507 I dunno, I asked here because I wanted a Muslim perspective. I have a degree in humanities by I've heard different interpretations. The brothers said it was haram, but I've been told not always.
@@sonnystaton There are different sects of Islam, similar to Christian denominations, but not nearly as many. They have different variations on beliefs and teachings, as well as rules/laws. It's possible that what is haram in one sect, might not be in another. It's the same way with what is halal and what isn't. I have no idea whether or not any of them allow alcohol consumption, but it's possible.
@bobbiejojackson9448 I get that, I have a degree & understand Shia, Sunni, Suffi. The sub denominations a little. But, wanted clarification on their sect. Is all alcohol completely haram, or small amounts ok?
Yes one wife is logical. God gave 1 wife to Adam. My husband and I have been married for 60 years. In some countries a woman can have 2 husbands. I would not like polygamy or polyandry!
If you enjoyed the dedication they show, and the comments that one guy told about the recent Jewish athlete who gave up her Olympic dream because some of the competition or whatever was going to be on the Sabbath, you might really enjoy the movie Chariots of Fire 1981. It is about a couple British athletes in the 1924 Olympics and one of them refused to run his race because it was on a Sunday (again, for Christians this is like Sabbath (Saturday) for the Jews). Great movie! Based on a true story.
Challah bread is eaten on the Sabbath, usually it’s home made by the wife with help from the older daughters. It begins the Shabbat meal and is really good, you can buy it in bakeries too. They drink kosher wine which isn’t strong. At the Friday evening Sabbath meal, a small glass of sanctified wine called "kiddush wine" is shared as a family. During Passover, children may be allowed to take a sip of Manischewitz wine as part of the tradition of drinking four cups of wine. There are also non-alcoholic “wines” that the children can drink. Hasidic Jewish women have to keep their hair covered, only their husbands can see it. So they can either wear a scarf or wig and the wigs are beautiful and it’s almost impossible to tell it’s a wig.
Regarding taking a break from work, etc on the Sabbath: people who aren’t originally from the Southern US are often shocked by how much stuff still shuts down here on Sundays. We are in the Bible Belt, after all. Of course Wal-Mart and most of the big chains are open, but the locally-owned businesses tend to close on Sundays. Except restaurants; for them it’s a toss-up. The ones that stay open do well on Sundays lunch/brunch, then take off Monday. Yes, there’s way more open on Sundays here now than 30 years ago, but the amount that shuts down is still surprisingly high.
I was born and raised in South Carolina. When I was young, no alcohol was sold on Sunday and only a few stores were open. Chick fil A still holds these values. They could be making so much more money on Sunday.
@@pamelarobinson7719 still can’t buy alcohol in the stores here in Arkansas on Sunday, but you can get a drink in a restaurant. Assuming you’re not in a dry county, that is. It’s only been a little over a decade since the county I live in went “wet.” (For those not familiar: dry counties don’t allow the sale of alcohol, except for in private clubs. That’s how a lot of restaurants side-stepped that issue while it was still dry, they just issued “memberships” to their customers.)
It is a big sacrifice as far as worldly considerations go, but i think it is a good thing for the soul. I am Christian but i believe everyone should respect the religious choice of others. I wish the whole world would come to their senses and only love their fellow man regardless of his chosen faith. So many good people have died because of religion.
Sometimes you guys are so naive and it is kind of cute to see. Wine glasses don't have to necessarily have alcohol in it. Those glasses are used because they are nice looking. They can have water in it
Hearing their lively songs at the end it reminded me of something. In 1970 I was in Tulsa, Oklahoma and met MANY Middle Easterners studying petroleum engineering at Tulsa University while playing Foosball. (table soccer) One night I was invited to a dinner and there were Arabs, Algerians, Kuwaitis, etc. and they spread newspapers all over the livingroom floor. Then the brought in this GIANT pot of kapsa (curried rice with chicken) and salad, and we sat in a circle and ate. I'd never eaten rice with my hand before, but it works pretty good once you get the hang of it. Now back to the singing part. After we'd finished eating, they started singing and beating rhythm on pots and pans and singing songs! Back then, I also learned just enough Arabic to get me in trouble... :D
i believe all Jews , Christians , and Muslims only believe in one God and it is not that the bible changes but many different sects of Christians interpret it differently
You are correct. They all worship the God of Abraham. The only differences are the prophets and the language. Allah IS God. That is poorly understood, thanks to Evangelicals.
The young woman that was helping out is not Jewish. Families often employ a non-Jew to take care of certain things, . . . mostly food related during the sundown to sundown time when no work can be done.
As do Muslims. Just another branch of the same tree. Actually, religious Jews such as the people in this sect, believe that Christianity is not monotheistic because of the Trinity. So Jews can, for instance, go in to a Mosque but not a Church. For less observant, it’s not an issue.
Im Jewish, every religion has a bit of cheating. I heard you guys mention you can wear rings but not necklaces. Theres a lot of funny little things in all religions. We have some quirky things too. I had so much fun as a kid going to Passover and different holidays with family. This was fun. Thanks guys! Love your movie react channel a lot too! You should mention it more
I worked for a couple of Jewish families. No work Friday Sundown to Saturday Sundown. They don’t use cars, I see them walking everywhere during that time. They don’t turn lights on and off. The family I worked for did not even turn off the stove for the entire time. They put a slab over that stayed hot the whole time. They would tear the sheets of toilet paper to be used in advanced for that time. That was considered work.
To answer your question about religion in Algeria. It seems like 99% is Muslim. It also says there are about 100,000 total Christians and 20,000 total Jews in Algeria. To your comment about drinking, some branches of Christianity are more strict than others. I'm Southern Baptist and we don't drink.
Thank you for reacting to this video. I've never seen it before, and came across it because I love your videos/channel. So 8:56 ...are you trying to figure out the Jewish building they worship in (shul or temple)? It is called a Synagogue. And the old testament law one of the 10 commandments is "Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it Holy" ...according to Genesis, God created everything during the first six days and then on the 7th day "God Rested" ...so He calls His followers to rest too. The Jewish people follow this on Saturday. But as Christians, according to the New Testament Christ rose on Sunday morning, so many Christians 'rest' on Sunday instead of Saturday. The state that I grew up in had what they called "blue laws" where most businesses were closed on Sunday. (nowadays a lot of those laws have been changed)... but That Chik-fil-lay restaurant you guys commented on in some of your earlier videos...that company is owned by a Christian family and their restaurants are all closed on Sundays.
It's illegal to fire somebody in the U.S. because of religious accommodation. Like Muslim prayer times, Jewish shavas, Orthodox Christian Easter and Christmas (Which in some years fall on differents days than the Catholic and Protestant easter and Christnas)
10:10 one of the best baseball players of all time, pitcher Sandy Koufax, refused to play a World Series (championship) game because it took place on the Sabbath.
Thank you for being so brave! 😊😊 Shabbat, begins Friday at sunset (wherever Jewish people gather) The idea is to observe the seventh day of creation On the seventh day of creation God rested. The Sabbath was created for mankind; to rest and to praise G-d for mankind's physical and spiritual revival. FYI: The wife is wearing a wig. Married Orthodox Jewish women cover their real hair with either a wig or a scarf. Only their husband is allowed to see her hair. Orthodox Jewish women dress modestly, wearing a designer belt is not an issue. Dressing modestly is the key. A Jewish man praises his wife and thanks G-d for her because she was made for him and he for her. *It is G-d's plan!* (Wearing a wig makes it easier to blend in with European norms; but some women prefer an abbreviated headscarf --"Tichel") Different sects have different requirements for modest dressing and wigs/headscarves. "The number 7 is closely tied to the concept of the Sabbath, which is observed on the seventh day of the week. In the Bible, the number 7 represents completion, perfection, and divine order. God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh day, establishing the Sabbath day. The Hebrew word for 'week' is "shavu'a". The Sabbath being the seventh day is reflected in various sacred periods and celebrations" "God rested from his work on the seventh day of creation. He blessed it and designated the day as holy, setting it apart from the first six days. God’s rest wasn’t the result of physical exertion. He also instituted a weekly Sabbath for people modeled after his rest on the seventh day." Christians celebrate the 7th day on Sunday. Most go to church in the morning and have a midday dinner with friends/family Christians observe the 7th day on the day of the week that the Resurrection of Christ occurred (Sunday) Catholics and Orthodox date their 7th day from Sunset (Saturday) through Sunday. Protestants view the day of rest as beginning at sunrise on Sunday. The Protestant culture originated in Northern Europe as opposed to the classical Mediterranean world. Sorry about this link (below) From a Christian perspective regarding the Sabbath -- Discusses the Sabbath in relation to the Torah's Genesis chapter 1 and 2 christianityfaq.com/why-did-god-rest-on-the-seventh-day/ (I would copy and paste but the site won't let me do it! .. I promise I would have foot-noted it!)
You all follow the solar calendar, we follow the lunar calendar as Jews. Mostly all of us Jews speak English, Hebrew and Arabic. American Jews speak English, Yiddish and Hebrew. Each community has different minhagim(Rules and laws) My community we wear scarves and long skirts always and long sleeves in winter , summer 3/4 sleeve length.
@@WatcherOfThe613 Jewish lunar calendar has adjustments to stay in sync with the solar calendar. That is why the Jewish holidays fall at about the same time every year. Cheshvan/Marcheshvan ... 29 (or 30) days Kislev ................................ 30 (or 29) days Adar I (only in leap years) ............. 30 days Adar (Adar II in leap years) ........ 29 days By contrast, Islam has no such adjustment. That is why the month of fasting (Ramadan) that was originally during the hottest days of the year in Arabia (I'm not sure of what month that is in the Middle East) now it rotates throughout the 12 months of the year; as does every other Muslim holiday. *It has no continuity with the historic facts. The ancient Babylonian and Persian calendars were adjusted so that the religious feasts/holidays fell at about the same time of the solar year. Islam, never figured out how to do that.
The little girls weren't wearing wigs, only the married women. Not all observant Jews do this. Some wear scarves, some wear hats, but Jewish women who are not religious don't bother with that at all. It's sad that some of the brothers' comments were so judgmental. We should respect everyone's practices, even if they seem strange to us, as long as they're not hurting anybody by doing them.
Us Jewish woman dress very modestly and we cover our heads/hair my community uses scarves and this community you are watching cover their hair with wigs. So our husbands can only see our hair and our bare heads privately.
Wow, this is so close to where I live. On Saturdays you can see the Hasidism walking down the roads because they will not drive a car on Shabbos. Considering where in the country this is filmed, this family must be incredibly wealthy.
Some Christian religions believe that they can drink wine-but NOT strong drink and only in moderation and never get drunk, while others say NO drinking at all!!!! We believe that if your heart doesn't condemn you then God will not, according to the scriptures. NC USA
Nice glimpse into another culture. I'm not sure if my nerves could handle all the noise and movement on a regular basis... I was basically an only child with two rooms upstairs all to myself..

You are related to us, believe it or not. ❤ You, Habibi Brothers are literally cousins to me/ through Abraham. That is why Saudi Arabia signed the Abraham agreement with us. Any questions about 25 hrs of Shabbat I will answer you as an Orthodox Jewish woman. We do have IT, and are not like the Amish. We just shut down every week starting Friday for 25hrs, to pray and meditate to G-d. We also pray every day of the week with Sha'ahrit, Mincha-Ma'ariv doing prayers everyday we awake, and before bed, and bless all food we eat. There's Moroccan, Yemen, Turkish, Kurdish and many others that are Jews in the middle east all the way to Persia, China, and in the Caucasus region and you may be shocked but Abraham's son Ishmael is related to you and us..we're literally cousins. Stay blessed and be well, your cousin a Jew from the Persian community. ❤🎉🎉
There are Jews in Mexico. Although their maid was most likely Puerto Rican and not Jewish. As well there are a good nunber of Lebanese in Mexico. They emigrated to Mexico to escape the persecution of Palestinians and Arabs in the 1920s-thru the 1980's. Free 🇵🇸 38:56
This was interesting..I'm in America, born and raised and have never seen a Jewish celebration. I still don't understand it. I'm a Christian woman. Men in America do not have 2 wifes...If my husband took another wife, I'd wring his little neck...Of course he say's it's hard enough to have one wife, No way would I want 2..LOL..It actually is illegal in America and a second wife is not recognized legally...I have never met anyone that had 2 wifes...if they were at one point, they are divorced now.
A woman's wig isn't cheating. There are some Jewish prominent rabbis who permit you to wear it while many don't, so you going to follow the tradition of your parents and community leaders.
I refuse a job if I have to work Friday because it's the responsibility of the wife to cook and clean for Shabbat. We bake a special bread for Shabbat as well.
Whistling, . . . In America and Canada is acceptable. There are a couple of whistles that most of us still respond to. There are also certain "Wolf Whistles" that might get you slapped however. So, unless you know what the tones mean, . . . you might want to avoid it, because the whistles you are likely to have heard in movies are Wolf Whistles.
As I said, most of the whistles people are familiar with in this age of cell phones are of the Wolf variety and they are considered rude. However, . . . some of us are old enough to remember our parents and grandparents whistling.
We (Jews) are allowed to drink wine on Sabbath. This is likely the times Jesus was drinking wine. Also back then alcohol was safer to drink than water a lot of times because of the distilling process. Even in Medieval times too.
I know some Baptist absolutely do not drink, I don't know about the pork though. I do know hasidic women don't show their hair, only to their husband. So they do not veil their heads... they wear wigs in public to hide their hair with a wig. Hasidic Jews also have separate refrigerators I believe milk cannot be stored with meat. Or they have a strict kosher kitchen.
As an Atheist, I find all religion irrational and really rather silly. The only thing I like about the Jewish religion is that they don't try to convert everyone to their religion. To my knowledge the only other religion that doesn't try to convert people is the Hindu religion.
Mormons are the Christians that don't drink alcohol. But they avoid all "drugs" also nicotine and until recently caffeíne, but i think now they are allowed to drink coffé. They are like christian version of Ahmadiyya muslim though. Other Christians don't accept them much.
Mormons aren't really Christians as most Christians would understand it. While they do worship the same Abrahamic God as Jews, Christians, and Muslims, their beliefs are different than most Christians. For starters, they belueve in the Book of Mormon, which no other Christians do. They also believe that Jesus was mot born of a virgin, and that God came down to Earth with his own physical body to impregnate Mary, which directly contradicts the Christian belief that Jesus was born if a virgin and that he had to be born for God to have a physical body and live a mortal life.
Brothers, if you can reply that would be great. If not, if any other Muslims can, I appreciate that too. In the Quran, or any other holy texts of Islam, does it mention how Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding at Cana?
Some people may disagree, but I would say in North America whistling is not disrespectful if you are just whistling a song but it is disrespectful to whistle to get someone's attention, it is like treating them like an animal for example, a peraon whistles at a dog to get their attention
Noticed you mentioned something about 1 God. Jews, Christians, and Muslims are believe in the same 1 God. They are just differentiated by scriptures and prophets. And obviously, each religion has different sects, denominations etc. I think and wish we would all remember this. So we could be nicer and friendlier to each other. We all believe in God, Allah, Yaweh.
Funny thing is, I know 2 Muslims , black, who eat pork and everything and drink alcohol. Just depends on how strict of a Muslim you are. Just like Catholic who eat meat on Fridays and Jews who eat pork
I have seen it said by some regarding "cheating", to the effect of that God knew the loopholes when He made the Law, so He's fine with it or He would have been more specific.
Quick question @HABIBIBROTHERS1, what happens if you have a job that doesn't allow you time to pray during 7am-5pm? Would you quit? Also whistling is not necessarily disrespectful it depends on the person. Like whistling at a stranger is weird. But some people on the farms or ranches whistle at each other. But people whistle songs all the time.
One man one woman. That makes your family. And man is the head of his home. Most of us believe you marry than you become as one. Yes some men try to marry 3 4 times or how many they can. But us women will not stand for that 😂😂 not me anyway.
Around where i live, many businesses close early or entirely on sundays and not Saturdays. I know it has something to do with christianity but i don't know exactly why ti be honest.
i celebrate shabbat every friday but my family is not religious we just have a family dinner doesn’t matter what food can be Chinese takeout to even italian food, we say one blessing for the wine and one blessing for the bread and that’s about it. we still use our phones, tv video games doesn’t matter
On the seventh day God rested... Jews are forbidden to do work on the seventh day, which for them is sundown on Friday through sundown on Saturday. Forbidden work includes lighting a fire, which in modern terms means turning on or off a light switch or turning on a stove or oven. All cooking needs to be complete before sundown for the dinner. They also cannot engage with technology which is considered work. There is a list of forbidden actions that are considered work, along with traditional forms of work around the house and as a part of employment.
Did you hear that they can’t speak until they eat The bread so they need to use nonverbal cues? Other words they’re calling for the bread or whatever you guys need to expand your horizons.
I have one friend who was Sephardic Jew on one side of his family, protestant Christian on the other side of the family, and converted to Islam because Jesus visited him in a vision and told him to convert. Strange mix.
In Isreal the Hasid are sometimes discriminated against. Some of them believe the state of Isreal us illegitimate(because their messiah has yet to return) and because many of them are pacificists and refuse to do thier required service in the military) As well African Jews face a lot of discrimination there.
The only really disrespectful way I can think of would be whistling at a woman in a lustful/sexually harassing way. A lot of parents actually use loud whistle sounds to call their children or to get the attention of a large noisey crowd.
I agree with Black, the pink slip story sounds somewhat exaggerated. In the past in big cities a lot of people were day laborers and workers. Technically they were "hired" on a daily basis. So it seems like a bit of an embellished story.
Please react to Peter's video on the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints also known as the Mormons. It is an unusual and uncharacteristic video for Peter. He is quite rude to them.
You know something I've never understood about Muslim and jewish animosity towards each other. I know they share a difficult history. But at this point in history their cultures are more in line with each other's than with Christians, Buddhists, etc. Seems they could find middle ground and live together in peace. Except their religion, it just seems they have more similarities than differences. 💞
Theres many arabs and Muslims in Israel, and many who travel in to work there every day. However many Muslim countries dont allow Jews to have these same rights reciprocated. Israel even has Arabs in their government. But you will NEVER see a Jew allowed in ANY Muslim government
Israel. Basically, the creation of Israel was seen as an attack against Islam because it involved the annexation of Muslim territory, so the Muslim states exiled their Jewish population as punishment, even though those living there didn't care about Israel. Morrocco had the largest pre-1948 Jewish population in the world at 2+ million, for reference, and now it's only 2,000 max.
Please react to Netenyahu's speech before the the U.S. congress this week. Spoiler alert it was awful. Free 🇵🇸. (Reminder, to the people who would get angry for me writing the above, 15% of Palestinians are Christians ☦️)
Yes, Mohammad has 4 wives so they treat that as the acceptable standard. Tons of rich Muslims who have dual American/Muslim state citizenship have that many, and since the marriage is recognized in their home country, the Feds can't do anything about it. Most Qatari NBA players for example, have more than 1.
Actually the reason why we cover our hair is not for modesty reasons ( because if that was so non married women would cover their hair to - like Muslims ) , it’s because when a women gets married her hair is considered now holy and separate and only for her husbands eyes to see. So it doesn’t matter what she covers her hair with - the point is that it’s covered . And also if you want to know women at home generally cover their hair with a kerchief or what’s called a tichel . Now all different orthodox communities have different customs of how and what they cover their hair with. Some will only wear tichels …
@@Abcdefg-tf7cu no not all ! No bending any rules ! We’re not supposed to look unattractive, we’re supposed look and feel beautiful in whatever way headscarf or wig! The point is not for modesty - if that was the case unmarried girls would also would also cover .

Food is the best tool for peace. It's hard to be angry with a plate of good food in front of you.
(table soccer)
One night I was invited to a dinner and there were Arabs, Algerians, Kuwaitis, etc. and they spread newspapers all over the livingroom floor.
Shabbas is 24 hours, sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. Orthodox, Hasidic Jewish men pray every morning and other times during the day.
There are Mexican Jews, brothers - but that lady was just a housekeeper, a maid - so, a non-Jewish employee.
There is a loophole in shabbas Jews can have a gentile come into thier home and turn on the lights or the stove/oven.
The Shabbos-goy.
Yes, you are correct and we pay them well for their kind services.
i believe all Jews , Christians , and Muslims only believe in one God
and it is not that the bible changes but many different sects of Christians interpret it differently
You are correct. They all worship the God of Abraham. The only differences are the prophets and the language. Allah IS God.
That is poorly understood, thanks to Evangelicals.
True we all need a break, a time to relax, rest. After God created the Heavens and the Earth, he rested after he finished.
The young woman that was helping out is not Jewish. Families often employ a non-Jew to take care of certain things, . . . mostly food related during the sundown to sundown time when no work can be done.
Jews and Christians believe and worship the one and only true God Almighty.
@@elizabethdeoraj604 is that the same for Muslims?
@philmakris8507 yes they all originate from the same god, it's like cousins
As do Muslims. Just another branch of the same tree. Actually, religious Jews such as the people in this sect, believe that Christianity is not monotheistic because of the Trinity. So Jews can, for instance, go in to a Mosque but not a Church. For less observant, it’s not an issue.
Hasidic married woman don't show their real hair. Some will cover by wrapping in scarves or wearing wigs
I'm pretty sure that they ARE Algerian.
Shabbat, begins Friday at sunset (wherever Jewish people gather) The idea is to observe the seventh day of creation
On the seventh day of creation God rested. The Sabbath was created for mankind; to rest and to praise G-d for
mankind's physical and spiritual revival.
FYI: The wife is wearing a wig. Married Orthodox Jewish women cover their real hair with either a wig or a scarf. Only their husband
is allowed to see her hair. Orthodox Jewish women dress modestly, wearing a designer belt is not an issue. Dressing modestly is the
key. A Jewish man praises his wife and thanks G-d for her because she was made for him and he for her. *It is G-d's plan!*
(Wearing a wig makes it easier to blend in with European norms; but some women prefer an abbreviated headscarf --"Tichel")
Different sects have different requirements for modest dressing and wigs/headscarves.
"The number 7 is closely tied to the concept of the Sabbath, which is observed on the seventh day of the week. In the Bible, the
number 7 represents completion, perfection, and divine order. God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh day,
establishing the Sabbath day. The Hebrew word for 'week' is "shavu'a". The Sabbath being the seventh day is reflected in various
sacred periods and celebrations"
"God rested from his work on the seventh day of creation. He blessed it and designated the day as holy, setting it apart from the first
six days. God’s rest wasn’t the result of physical exertion. He also instituted a weekly Sabbath for people modeled after his rest on
the seventh day."
Christians celebrate the 7th day on Sunday. Most go to church in the morning and have a midday dinner with friends/family
Christians observe the 7th day on the day of the week that the Resurrection of Christ occurred (Sunday)
Catholics and Orthodox date their 7th day from Sunset (Saturday) through Sunday. Protestants view the day of rest as beginning
at sunrise on Sunday. The Protestant culture originated in Northern Europe as opposed to the classical Mediterranean world.

You all follow the solar calendar, we follow the lunar calendar as Jews.
Mostly all of us Jews speak English, Hebrew and Arabic. American Jews speak English, Yiddish and Hebrew. Each community has different minhagim(Rules and laws)

Jewish lunar calendar has adjustments to
stay in sync with the solar calendar. That
is why the Jewish holidays fall at about the
same time every year.
Cheshvan/Marcheshvan ... 29 (or 30) days
Kislev ................................ 30 (or 29) days
Adar I (only in leap years) ............. 30 days
Adar (Adar II in leap years) ........ 29 days
By contrast, Islam has no such adjustment.
That is why the month of fasting (Ramadan)
that was originally during the hottest days of
the year in Arabia (I'm not sure of what month
that is in the Middle East) now it rotates
throughout the 12 months of the year;
as does every other Muslim holiday.
*It has no continuity with the historic facts.
The ancient Babylonian and Persian
calendars were adjusted so that the
religious feasts/holidays fell at about
the same time of the solar year.
Yes, the Jews drink wine during the Shabbat and also during the Passover meal.
Purim! That’s the wildest one!
Guys, I have to respect your willingness to learn about other religions. Your comments are a window to the way you see others. Thank you.

Wow, this is so close to where I live. On Saturdays you can see the Hasidism walking down the roads because they will not drive a car on Shabbos. Considering where in the country this is filmed, this family must be incredibly wealthy.
Saturday and Sunday are the weekend and America and most people have those days off.
It is the strict interpretation of the Sabbath. For Christians and Jews. "And on the 7th Day He rested". No labor of any kind
Some Christian religions believe that they can drink wine-but NOT strong drink and only in moderation and never get drunk, while others say NO drinking at all!!!! We believe that if your heart doesn't condemn you then God will not, according to the scriptures. NC USA

@@PriscillaV1964 black was correct. Summoning someone by whistling and gestures is considered bad manners and rude in the U.S. and Canada
As I said, most of the whistles people are familiar with in this age of cell phones are of the Wolf variety and they are considered rude.
However, . . . some of us are old enough to remember our parents and grandparents whistling.
Goodness. Seeing this is a real experience since Fiddler On The Roof doesn't do any justice on explaining some of the Jewish belief.
i never understood where the no alcohol came from when yeshua turned water to wine for his followers
They do both interchangeable wigs or covering of hair.

Quick question @HABIBIBROTHERS1, what happens if you have a job that doesn't allow you time to pray during 7am-5pm? Would you quit? Jews are forbidden to do work on the seventh day, which for them is sundown on Friday through sundown on Saturday. Forbidden work includes lighting a fire, which in modern terms means turning on or off a light switch or turning on a stove or oven. All cooking needs to be complete before sundown for the dinner. I agree with Black, the pink slip story sounds somewhat exaggerated. In the past in big cities a lot of people were day laborers and workers. Technically they were "hired" on a daily basis. So it seems like a bit of an embellished story.

Basically, the creation of Israel was seen as an attack against Islam because it involved the annexation of Muslim territory, so the Muslim states exiled their Jewish population as punishment, even though those living there didn't care about Israel. Not legally. It’s still bigamy. People do it but don’t get a marriage license and just have the religious ceremony.
Yes, Mohammad has 4 wives so they treat that as the acceptable standard.
Tons of rich Muslims who have dual American/Muslim state citizenship have that many, and since the marriage is recognized in their home country, the Feds can't do anything about it. Most Qatari NBA players for example, have more than 1.
... so the women cover their hair ... by wearing wigs?
... that's cheating!
Well yeah. The whole point if religion is to find new ways to bend God's rules without technically breaking them.
