It was nice to see my island. I wish I was there to see my family. You kinda made me jealous seeing you drinking pina colada and mentioning you were going to eat a mofongo. I can't wait to go back to the island to see it and see my family. Happy to see your videos.
Im glad you guys made it to my home town and liked it. My heart is pounding harder just from watching the video. Lol… I can't wait to go visit my Borinquen. Thanks for sharing!!
The thirsty bartender did the history of Piña Colada an it did was invented in PR by that man. Love this vlog everything look soo pretty. The first time I was there, there was this lady she was local and she know alot about the fort and she was telling me what you were saying but she was actually doing the running around in a live interpretation and it was hilarious actually I did all the look around with her and then went to luch with her. After my first experience in PR I decided to move here when a job opportunity show up.
i grew up in RIO Piedras ,San Juan, my mother used to take me to SAN JUAN on the public bus call LA Ama, EL MORRO was build by the spaniards, one of my favorite things were the blue bricks streets, and going on the Catan~o boat, and the Mun~oz Rivera Park to the swings, Thank You for a nice video ,i have not been in PR since 2002.
Beautiful San Juan....next time do the walk along the bottom of the fort by the water....from the port area turn left and just walk all along the walkway along the wall...it is absolutely beautiful and you will see really neat things..,there are many "cat houses" made from Rubbermaid bins that are a shelter for the cats and they are fed and cared for by local vets and volunteers also beautiful gardens...great walk!!...viv
That was a fun vlog to watch. I want to do a southern Caribbean cruise from San Juan so it was fun to see some of the sites. The fort reminded me of Castillo de San Marcos in St. Augustine, FL.
Es un placer ver mi Puerto Rico através de los ojos de los turistas visitándolo por primera vez. Gracias por sus lindos comentarios y sean siempre bienvenidos.🇵🇷
Awesome video. I had a port call on the NCL Encore at San Juan but it was a night port call, so I didn't get to see any sites. Hopefully if we get to sail on the Carnival Mardi Gras on the next group cruise I can experience those sites.
My husband and I only somewhat recently discovered you guys and we are slowly watching everything. Watched this today and totally enjoyed it, having been to San Juan in July/August 2019 (a cruise that started and ended there). When you were eating at Punto De Vista, I told my husband Tony that Jason sounded like him trying to remember the word "mofongo" but that he (Tony) would say it's a stupid name. Not 5 seconds later, Jason said "It's stupid." We died laughing!
Being there last July it was hot hot we did a horse riding excursion at la hacienda, wish we had more time to see the island gives us excuse to cruise again xx
We ate at Barrachina while we were in San Juan, we did the other fort closer to port because of pushing a stroller. Fun story I threw my back out pushing the stroller on the uneven roads and sidewalks in San Juan.
Ahh my favorite city in the Caribbean to just wander around in. 🇵🇷 ❤️ Y’all must consider a cruise out of San Juan to the Southern Caribbean. I know Royal, Disney and Carnival offer itineraries from there! 🛳 ❤️
There are so many places you could have gone besides San Juan. I was born there and when to Culebra, Vieques (where there is volcanic sand), to the restaurants at the top of montains (there are many though are good and serves good food), Gilligan's Island (natural pool) and Bosque seco, natural florescent fishes (where u can swim in), beaches with unique views and legends of pirates, Carabali to ride horses and go cars, clammed up mountains, scuba diving at Isabella, fishing, huge frape drings, exploring caves with indigenous artifacts, Sunflowers in Guanica, Grand Canion and more. They are not announced at all but you can ask friends to guide u there. Those places were the most happiest moments of my life. U may do all listed above in a week in summer if u want to challenge urself. 😁😎🤳
Went to San Juan on Holland about 8 years ago. Loved the port. Hollands ships are nice. Food is good but they are definitely quieter and not as much going on as Royal or Carnival.
That is one of the things you will find that makes Holland America so attractive. With smaller ships and the concentration on port intensive itineraries, you really get a chance to see and learn so much more than on some other cruise lines. Not only IN port but also on the ships as well.
I love San Juan. We took a cruise that stopped there and next took one that went out of and back to San Juan. Spent a day before and after in San Juan and stayed at a hotel next to the port
My friend used to,live there so I visited many times. A lot of cruises used to start in San Juan on Saturday and the stores used to put the prices up on Friday and reduce them on Sunday so we used to head out of town. I’m sure that’s the case at other ports or places have rates for locals.
Such a gorgeous city! We stayed at La Concha resort to board Freedom of the Seas last year. We had drinks at Barrachina and we ate 2 times at the chocolate restaurant. Such a gorgeous place, but pricey! Taxis are about $25-30!
Oh my goodness I love your videos! I miss cruising so much! Can’t wait til Covid is over and we can get back to Cruising! Jason looks great with short hair btw! Adding San Juan to our bucket list of ports!
The Caribe Hilton also claims that the Pina colada was invented there. Not sure who is correct. San Juan has a free trolley that drops you off at all the sights, it will drop you off right at the entrance of El Morro. We try to take cruises that either start or end in San Juan, just so we can stay extra days. There are some amazing things to do in Puerto Rico, way too much for one day.
Glad you like it. It is my island. I bet you have more footage! Going in/out on a cruise is amazing. I did it on the Allure (RC). Corona was our beer until they sold rights to Mexico. Medalla is more popular than Magna.
Thank you for the great video. You were in my home town! Puerto Rico has so much to offer and you can fly there anytime of the year. No passports or visas needed since it’s a US territory.
San Juan is absolutely gorgeous!! You may already be aware but the music video for Despacito (the song the violinist is playing at 6:00) was filmed just up the hill from the Fort. It is such a gorgeous area. The little neighborhood where the music video was filmed is just off the street, down on the water. Such a beautiful culture there.
Actually, I lied because the fort we visited was Castillo de San Cristóbal and the neighborhood where Despacito was filmed is right up the road from that fort. Either way, still very cool
I LOVE watching your guys' videos!! It makes me miss and remember the cruise i took with my family in august 2019 🥺 You guys seem like such cool people and i'm so jealous of how you guys travel so much. I'd die just to be able to go on another cruise. Anyways, keep up the good work!!! i love your channel!! ❤️
I have always wanted to go to Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 because my favorite actress from once upon a time named lana Parrilla she is part Puerto Rican and part sicsillan
The island to your left when you got to the overlook from the fort is where they use to keep a leper colony. One of the guides explained to us our first visit there.
Rich in culture and history. I prefer cruising from there. LaCasita is a good place for a break. It's inviting, to be sure. Best Pina Coladas are always in SJU! When were you in PR?
Guys I like your video of our beautiful Island, Puerto Rico. Just to let you know that our "Piña Colada" was made in 1954 on Beachcomber Bar of the Caribe Hilton Hotel by the bartender, Ramón Marrero. That place are confusing the tourists.
I’m from PR and I really recommend u to eat at mojito and for dessert a popsicle from señor paleta and go visit the Moro and walk on la Calle Fortaleza too see our famous umbrellas.
That was a workout, guys! I used to work in Old San Juan. I know how if feels after a day of walking up and down those cobblestone streets! Great video. Thank you for stopping by San Juan.
You guys brought back memories from my last cruise. San Juan was a beautiful place and watching this video took me back..
Thanks for sharing those memories. Until we can return, that was lovely.

Jim D I’m from St. Augustine and yes, it is so similar!
Jim D It's similar but greater in size and scope.
Cant wait to go to San Juan someday!!

Thank you for this post. Love this video

Oh that is funny!! Jason still won’t say it correctly 😂
Hahaha you had me laughing. 😂😂 Pare sounds like Pa-re = Stop obviously you know by looking at the sign. Loved the video. Missing my island. Thanks.
Love this. My friend Harry Figgueroa is from the island.
Thank you for showing my beautiful island, you guys are incredible ❤
We loved it and can’t wait to visit again
Just beautiful!😍👍
We should be in PR for our 2nd Epic Southern Caribbean cruise today and this is the next best thing
Great Port! I was there on the Allure of the Seas back in December 2019...I miss that place right about now!🥺🤣😂
My Puerto Rico it’s a beautiful Paradise Island, can’t wait to go back ❤️🇵🇷🙏🏼🌸🌴
Being there last July it was hot hot we did a horse riding excursion at la hacienda, wish we had more time to see the island gives us excuse to cruise again xx

Punta vista is our absolute favorite and the mofungo was amazing.. so sad they are closed now🥺
This was such an awesome Vlog! I learned so much!! Can't wait to cruise again in February with the EECC Gang!
We ate at Barrachina while we were in San Juan, we did the other fort closer to port because of pushing a stroller. Fun story I threw my back out pushing the stroller on the uneven roads and sidewalks in San Juan.

Thanks for the video. Hoping to visit there in February if cruising resumes on the Mardi Gras.

Those are san juan prices. If you go outside the metro area itll be cheaper. Ponce or Mayagüez
Should have taken an Uber🤷♂️
We took Ubers half the time and they were still $20-25. @@amgooder
Bienvenidos a la isla del encanto mi pais
I really like San Juan. Its very nice and very safe. I was supposed to be back in July. 🤨
Oh my goodness I love your videos! I miss cruising so much! Can’t wait til Covid is over and we can get back to Cruising! Jason looks great with short hair btw! Adding San Juan to our bucket list of ports!
I can’t wait to see San Juan
Stella is in my top 10 beers.
I'm from Puerto Rico too.

Brenda Lee, the Piña Colada is from the Caribe Hilton all puertorricans know it. This place are confusing the tourists.
Glad you like it. It is my island. I bet you have more footage! Going in/out on a cruise is amazing. I did it on the Allure (RC). Corona was our beer until they sold rights to Mexico. Medalla is more popular than Magna.
Glad y’all had a great time in Puerto Rico!! FYI - the local beer Medalla is pronounced Meh-Dah-Ya
Thank you for the great video. You were in my home town! Puerto Rico has so much to offer and you can fly there anytime of the year. No passports or visas needed since it’s a US territory.
I love ❤️ this is my country 🇵🇷
Love the music

One of my all time favorite ports!
If you like Puerto Rico you should come a stay a week and travel out of SanJuan. So many amazing places to visit.
I've been waiting to see a video on San Juan as I will be embarking from there in February. This will give me some good insight
Nathan Butler i was just there in October I highly recommend doing the tour of Ft San Cristobal
Missed so much my Island.
I LOVE watching your guys' videos!! It makes me miss and remember the cruise i took with my family in august 2019 🥺 You guys seem like such cool people and i'm so jealous of how you guys travel so much. I'd die just
to be able to go on another cruise. Anyways, keep up the good work!!! i love your channel!! ❤️
God only knows what is under those waters with so much history. How many pirates made to rest in the bottom of those oceans?
I have always wanted to go to Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 because my favorite actress from once upon a time named lana Parrilla she is part Puerto Rican and part sicsillan
The island to your left when you got to the overlook from the fort is where they use to keep a leper colony. One of the guides explained to us our first visit there.
It’s very true the pina colada
I love this port it is very hot but I got to visit the military forts wich was cool to see
You mentioned you paid for two forts but only one was filmed . Did you go to the larger one ‘ Castillo de San Cristobal’
I want to visit Puerto Rico. The Condado area. I have a few hotels in mind on that strip I want to stay at.
We did a culinary/history walking tour.. Made our own Mojitos and Mofongo
jason ur a trip!! pare (Pear) LOL - you are correct means stop! :)
Rich in culture and history. I prefer cruising from there. LaCasita is a good place for a break. It's inviting, to be sure. Best Pina Coladas are always in SJU! When were you in PR?
We were in San Juan in February
I can't wait until all this pandemic is over so I could go back and see my family

Welcome to my island. Thanks for your videos..
Was there last October on The Adventure of the Seas. Great port, would go again for sure.
That was a workout, guys! I used to work in Old San Juan. I know how if feels after a day of walking up and down those cobblestone streets! Great video. Thank you for stopping by San Juan.
Jose Ferrer.....George Clooney's uncle, Raul Julia buried in Old San Juan cemetery
Ft. Del Morro... Fort of the small hill...
Is it cheaper or the same price for food?
It’s similar pricing as USA
❤️❤️❤️
We were there in Jan. 2011 on Adventure of the Seas. Stayed the night b4 the cruise. We loved it! Going back on Freedom of the Seas Nov. 2021
Did you like HAL better than Carnival?
Totally different! But we definitely prefer the HAL ship’s layout!
There is actually two places in San Juan who claim they made the pina colada first. Most say it is Barrachinos
WELL GICE WE HAVE SUMMER ALL YEAR ROUND
