Cabbage Quack I felt the same way. If he had died, I felt like it would have added to prince wuu's character as well. If he knew mako died by saving everyone from the mecha, it would have been perfect. Mako went from a nobody, to a pro bending celebrity, to a detective, bodyguard, and finally a hero who sacrificed himself to save the only city he knew as home. If prince Wuu saw this, he would have understood the sacrifice needed to do what's right and become a great king for his people. The only issue however is that it would taint the ending. Varricks wedding was perfect, and if it had been a funeral for mako instead that would have been so depressing. Although it would have strengthened korra and asami's relationship. But Bolin couldn't live without mako. He would be devastated. Those are the only reasons why the route they took was better.
Cabbage Quack Mako is too good to die that soon. He deserved to live. Honestly everyone sacrificed during that fight but the "emotional death" we got was Asami's dad..... Lol
Jude Robinson: I have watched avatar and korra multiple times because both series have really impacted my life so every time I rewatch it I like to look at alternatives in terms of the story and I always find something new. You also notice many things that were planned out really well and how the writers created such amazing stories. To be honest, I didn't like korra all to much the first time around, but each time I rewatch it I gain so much more appreciation for the conflicts the characters go through in order to develop. I don't think anyone can truly critically evaluate these shows without watching them at least 2 or 3 times even. I love both shows and they both have amazing yet different qualities that are truly deserving of more praise than they get or have gotten from its fans

While ATLA is a great show TLOK's soundtrack is so much better! But ATLA's soundtrack is still great!
Like, I mean ATLA is better then TLOK in other things while TLOK is better than ATLA in other things, but TLOK's soundtrack is just better.
Agreed, and of course it would be! Zuckerman had so much more experience under his belt, and so many more resources, and it shows.
The Great Uniter vs Korra it should be!
They forgot the whole fight scene I wish they did the scene where they fought the robot that was EPIC
Yeah loved that soundtrack . "Destroy the collosus"
kuvira is GOAT
When I think legend of korra I think of this action of what you have never seen before and some of the most epic music to complement it just makes wanna to see what a new avatar show could do
If this gets taken down someday I’ll be very upset and cry for like a hour🧐.
(For real… this would be devastating)
3:01 this is when the song REALLY begins
that ending man
Kuvira is hot and a good villain but zaheer is still the best of them all
GOD this track is so badass im 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊jeremy zuckerman is so fucking good
came here after Viacom's copyright claim wiped all of FireNation's Korra OST vids, am haves big sad
Am I the only one who thinks LoK would have been better to have an emotional death at the end (Mako)
Lol
Wow, you really thought it out. I agree.
I have also seen Korra twice now and I agree, the first time I think I was pretty much blinded by nostalgia, now I appreciate Korra so much more especially the last two books. I love both shows and now I realise what I enjoy most is how different each series feels.
