Overall, I’d say RM is the better rapper because he experiments with different styles and tends to succeed most of the time (ex he’s not as good as trap style but that’s more J-Hope’s expertise, as seen in his song 1Verse). RM never goes for syllables per minute because he puts pauses for emphasis, style and flow. but j-hope 1verse is not a good example because that was his newbie work and it shows. j-hope's style improved since cypher pt. 4. He was an underground rapper before debut, so when he did debut as an idol rapper, pretty much most of his "rapper friends" stopped being friends with him, essentially. There's a song called awakening, you should react to it, it's good and he tells more about this whole situation with battling with this prejudice and how it all changed him. Also, i guess you missed the reference in Yoongi's the last, when he said "i didn't do show me the money because i didn't want to, you didn't because you couldn't " Show me the money is a korean tv program and basically rapper competition. Idols get recognized by their talent ONLY if they go to smtm and kinda prove everyone that the can do it But it's honestly just couple of good rappers and a bunch of kids trying to show off. FUN FACT: RM was inspired to write Joke after other Korean rappers started talking shit because he joined a kpop group. The haters said he couldn't rap, that he had no speed or flow. But RM said himself that he likes focusing on the meaning behind his lyrics and getting his message across, rather than most K-rappers who just focus on speed, rapping words without meaning, and adding random English words even when it doesn't make sense - hence, making it a joke. Joke allowed him to prove that he can actually do all those things, but better.

yes RM (namjoon) writes most of BTS songs. tbh we gotta appreciate this guy more. he deserves so much more. you can see RM's name under the credits almost every song of them. it doesnt matter whether he is included in the song or not, like Serendipity (intro for their love yourself album and jimin's solo), begin (jungkook's solo song), lost (vocal line song) and many more... he writes a lot and he reads a lot! he also recommends books to fans during his live streams on Vapp. idk how he can find time to read cuz my lazy ass cant even do that when im not even half as busy as him. he is really philosophical. FUN FACT: RM was inspired to write Joke after other Korean rappers started talking shit because he joined a kpop group. The haters said he couldn't rap, that he had no speed or flow. But RM said himself that he likes focusing on the meaning behind his lyrics and getting his message across, rather than most K-rappers who just focus on speed, rapping words without meaning, and adding random English words even when it doesn't make sense - hence, making it a joke. Joke allowed him to prove that he can actually do all those things, but better.

yes RM (namjoon) writes most of BTS songs. tbh we gotta appreciate this guy more. he deserves so much more. you can see RM's name under the credits almost every song of them. it doesnt matter whether he is included in the song or not, like Serendipity (intro for their love yourself album and jimin's solo), begin (jungkook's solo song), lost (vocal line song) and many more... he writes a lot and he reads a lot! he also recommends books to fans during his live streams on Vapp. idk how he can find time to read cuz my lazy ass cant even do that when im not even half as busy as him. he is really philosophical. (and you can realize it even when he is talking. they would be joking around and you see namjoon talking about the meaning of life and happiness out of blue. he is really well spoken. his speech at concerts are always inspirational.) most of the time his lyrics are so deep that you cant understand the first time you read. he also makes references to the books he reads or movies he watched that sometimes you gotta actually make a little research to get what he meant. and i wanna say that all rapper line (RM, Suga, JHope) write their own verses in songs and are heavily involved in making songs. RM once said jhope is best when it comes to making catchy melodies and beats. i can say that all of them have their own unique charm.
Suga also produces songs for BTS. he produced a song called wine for a singer named Suran and recently got an award for his producing skills.
i cant help but talk about vocal line as well. they help writing lyrics and melodies as well.
jungkook recently got into making beats and i hope we'll see his self made songs soon. v has a really distinct style he and RM have a song called 4 o'clock which they made. both jin and jimin wrote their own solos (jimin lie and jin awake) which are such masterpieces. im gonna stop now sorry for this looong comment. i just cant shut up when it comes to bts i feel like i gotta mention all of them. love your reactions keep it up

Since you are so interested into BTS (And i can feel ya, they are having taken over my entire freetime) i would recommend some videos to get to know the members better. TBH, their music is just half of what makes BTS themselfes. These guys are having great personalities, so different and dorky and lovely and super FUNNY! They are in very close contact to their fans, posting a lot on social network and they also have so greaaaaaat concepts on their MVs. There is a lot to learn lol
I really enjoyed the videos made by "Squishy Min Yoongi" on YT called "A guide to... era" where she explains in a very funny way how the boys changed through the years, what kind of music they were making and giving facts about the members individually c: so if you are interested to know more about the members, you should give it a try :D
