do you guys think the second backstab was unethical?
it happened to me before that my host attacked while I was healing as an invader many times, but I feel ethically conflicted. what do you think?
i remember when everyone agreed that healing in a duel was gay. Those were the days
But now why woudlnt anybody not heal since they allow you? Back in the days 2011-2014 people were just ganking in the forests and anorlondo elevator with humanity and blessings spam.
@@Intels_ yeah but in 1v1 duels it was accepted that you shouldn’t heal, ds1 PvP now is literally just people running into eachother face first and spinning around until they can trigger a backstab

@@mccad00 вот честно, я посмотрел несколько видео этого парня, без негатива конечно, но буквально в каждом видео он не дерётся, а просто заходит челам за спину. Я не понимаю смысл пвп, если всё сводится к абузу багнутой системы бэкстебов игры. Да и какой смысл в победе, если ты даже нормально не подрался с челом а просто сделал пару пусси-бэкстебов и прожал эмоут
хотя, конечно, каждый развлекается как хочет, но именно из-за таких челиков я и не люблю пвп в дс1, вместо интересных боёв всегда получаешь чела, который хочет пробить тебе задницу
Tbf backstabbing in DS1 is pretty bad and buggy but in the video the guy was just asking for one lol
in a 1v1 most players usually wont heal for the reason that it draws out the battle, not that healing is inherently wrong, in a 1 on 1 it can be seen as dishonourable so I don't see anything wrong in backstabbing. also don't feel conflicted whether backstabbing is ethically right or not, its a core mechanic of pvp and what makes ds1 brokenness fun.

Unless you both make it clear that you are trying to reset the fight, you are just punishing a bad heal. In general you can safely heal in corners and after performing a hornet ring backstab. Even healing backed up against the wall can be punished by experienced players (look up wall backstab).
That's also what I was thinking, since it's not a duel and there is no pre-agreed condition on healing, I think it's normal to attack while the enemy is healing.
Knowing when to heal safely and get away with it is part of the skill I think, something I also am trying to learn
