I have known Dougie's work for many years now. I remember sometime in highschool looking him up because I absolutely fell in love with his Abe Sapien. Doug got me reading Mike Mignola's books, through the books listening to Dire Straits... I watched Pan's labyrinth exclusively for him. But now my new favourite film of his is My name is Jerry. I have watched and rewatched it so many times and it is the sweetest most romantic film but it doesn't feel pathetic like many romantic films. It has a bigger message and when it's over it makes you think about life differently.

Doug is impossibly sweet and exudes a serene, endearing glamour. His acting has always been a fountain of joy to me, so rich, vivid, and captivating that I hesitate to use the word accurate as it feels cold to such liveliness. Definitely love this man. He deserves every happiness.
