Thank you so much for this! I haven't seen a more interesting or informative personal statement video.

So basically make sure to take a few creative writing courses during your pre-med.

I think I have a pretty easy personal statement to write considering I was never interested in medicine. I've written the whole statement that I'll use in a few years off my former dislike of medicine and how my experience drove me to now realizing medicine is all I'm really passionate about.

You all prolly dont care at all but does someone know a way to get back into an Instagram account?
I somehow forgot my password. I would love any tricks you can offer me.

This whole video was very informative, I've always thought about what someone on the other side, viewing an application, must be thinking and yeah it's completely understandable why your personal statement should stand out. Is there any chance I could get in touch with one of you to help me out with mine? I have several personal experiences and while I'd love to talk about all of them I'm not sure if I can or which to choose from or how to even start

After listening to videos like this from many sources, I understand it's best to choose one and tell the story/paint the picture. Focus on the story, tell it well, and let it show why you would be a good doctor.
I've listen to Dr. Jubbal with med school insiders; Dr. Williams with onlinemeded; Dr Mehta here; Dr. Ryan Gray with med school HQ, and other sources. Most of the information I've gathered has been free from UA-cam, Facebook, friends in med school, etc.

Thanks for sharing. My only confusion stems from the video comes from Q&A section where you were answering why to choose medicine (51:00). You earlier mentioned not to include anything regarding passion to help people in the P.S to address this question but it conflicts with what Dr. Sahil Mehta just described as something worth-mentioning.

I'm just finding this, I know the comment was a year ago, so this is more for posterity. I think the point is to show passion, not hammer it in in black and white. Don't just say "I'm passionate about medicine!", say things like "I was fascinated by the work I was doing even though it was just on the bench, because I knew it was for patients", "It was wonderful figuring out different ways of interacting with the patients to help them open up to me while I was taking their history." This SHOWS passion and excitement.

      www.solveyourtech.com/how-to-count-characters-in-microsoft-word-2013/
go to review at the top of ur word document; click word count, then it should show you word and character count

You can click on the Word count at the bottom of the doc. It will tell u how many characters you have. For me 5400 characters (with spaces) is just over 900 words

Informative, but please please please speak into your microphone... Don't turn your head away from the mic. Avoid the waxing and waning of voice as you turn your head away and towards the mic. It was hard to listen...
