Awesome, This is Robert Hendrix's trike, he was my instructor, an awesome guy, took me just 15 hours on double surface Streak wing to solo...and then there is Isa, what a gentle dog. Robert would put Isa in the trailer during our training and Isa waited patiently...very good dog, nice video.
In the US you need a license for everything powered except FAR part 103 ultralights. Beware the cheapest plane. Could have problems if you don't know what you're getting. Range is like $5000 to $65000
New it's around $53K - $55k. Used in perect shape low hrs maybe $30 - 35. the rotax 912 engine is the big expense. You can get them with a 582 two stroke for alot less..

I'd go to trikepilotdotcom and ask around on the forums. I've never flown with floats. This XT is the trike I learned to fly in. It wasn't mine. But you need a big wing and at least a 583 to fly from water. Northwingdotcom could help you out too. I want to get a float trike some day. And amphibian would be the best of both worlds..

The trike is an Airborne XT912. Very smooth flying. VNe around 95 mph.. Cruises around 50 - 60.
